shower was pretty small but thats the only complaint I would have about this hotel, it was clean, staff was friendly & it was really close to kings cross station which was extremely convenient. there is no lift so that might be a problem for people with kids, the elderly or the lazy.

As I read on other comments the hotel has really tiny rooms and bathrooms, but it hasn't been a problem once get used to it and our room was very clean and well kept.
There was no elevator and the stair were really small.
The hotel is located in a quiet neighbourhood and very close to King's Cross station.
We were two friends and we had a good stay. Probably we'll stay at Wardonia again in future.

We were there with my wife doing a small trip to London.
The hotel has excellent location - only 400 meters from King's Cross tube station.
The room and the equipment correspond with web presentation. There was always hot water for bath and the heating operated well.
The problem only was with very thin walls between rooms.
The bathroom could be equipped with some carpet or pad to prevent dragging wet out of the bathroom.
Fair value for the price.

I stayed one night in my cupboard room. The area was quiet and right next to the tube. As a simple place to sleep and take a shower it worked very well. The TV in the room distracted me somewhat from the fact that there was hardly room for both me and my bag. They had a room for keeping luggage, which I took advantage of after I checked out. Plus for it being there, minus for it not being locked.

Good choice if you need an hotel for a three-days stay close to a central station, spending ad adequate price. Room quite spacious even because it has only the beds (no wardrobe, no drawers, no abat-jours) and a small bathroom.

The person at the desk in the afternoon did not understand English very well. We were asking about using the phone but then found out there was not a phone in the room. The room was very small. Difficult to get luggage up several flights of stairs. We were allowed to store our bags in a closet which was very helpful since we got into London early in the morning and check in time wasn't until 2.

I got exactly what I wanted: An inexpensive, clean room with separate bathroom and tv in a central part of London. The hotel has not put it's money in big rooms, spacious hallways and breakfast, which is fine with me. (I always oversleep anyway) Friendly staff: I got my room 3 hours before check in time when I explained that I was going to a wedding and desperately needed a shower (not MY wedding though).

Very small room, but clean and adequate. Great price for the location. Would not plan a long trip there, but would certainly stay again if passing through. Close proximity to train station is another advantage - easy walk with bags.

For London hotels I thought this was reasonable; I mean who comes to London to stay in their hotel room the whole time anyway?! It was a cozy place to stay, not big at all but clean. And it was the cheapest I had found.

It was a 5 day stopover enroute to Spain. We are in our mid 60s and were carrying 4 suitcases. Our booked room was on the 3rd floor. There is no lift. It was a struggle to carry the luggage up the narrow stairs. If you plan ahead, there is luggage storage on the main floor, allowing you to leave all but one suitcase there; but we didn't know this when packing. On leaving, we booked a main floor room for our return stopover a month later. It was excellent and slightly larger than our first room. The location is excellent. We would stay again.

Great value for money.
Our room was down below ground level next to the street so there was a fair bit of noise from the pub next door and people walking past in the middle of the night.
No traffic noise though which was great.
Very handy to tube.
Internal stairs very steep for luggage

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights. As soon as I got in the room I was ready to checkout. They put us on the 3rd floor. The stairs are extremely narrow and they have no lift. The room was clean, but small. There is just enough room for the beds and one suitcase each (nothing more). It took 2 days for the room to air out from the air freshener (cologne) that was sprayed in it. The bathroom is actually a shower with a toilet and sink in it. It's hard to explain, but the floor of the shower IS the floor of the bathroom. There is no division. When you use the shower the ENTIRE floor gets wet. The walls of the room are paper thin. You can hear EVERYTHING. The staff is not very friendly. The ONLY good thing is that it's right by the Underground. I will NOT ever stay there again. This "hotel" is actually a hostel. Great for younger, single people.

We didn't expect the 4 seasons and therefore weren't dissapointed. The rooms are in an OK condition and you probably won't find a cheaper way to stay in central London. The King's cross station is right down the street so you can easily get downtown. Even though we would return there, we can not recommend the employees' service. If you're expecting a warm welcome or a friendly attitude, you will be merely dissapointed. We wouldn't recommend this hotel to families with young kids.

It was not super clean but it was OK. The rooms are extremely small. If you are a couple get a twin room. Don't get a double. The beds and rooms are very small. The bathroom is super small. Overall though the price that we paid was the best we could find for a low budget. London is extremly expensive and this worked. The staff was not the friendliest but they were helpful if you pushed them and were nice to them. The area is not the best but the metro is 1 block away and Pancras train station is 1 block away also. Eurostar will begin to have service to Pancras so this will probably be convinient.
I would look for other hotels before I went back to this one. If there were no other option I would stay again.

Nice, quiet, clean and cheap. Excellent base for a weekend-visit in London.

Don't use this hotel! It has nothing to recomment it. There is no lift. There are very narrow, winding halls and stairs. The bathroom floor was dirty and there was not even a bath mat provided. One bath towel each. No hand towels. One overhead light. The place is a dive.

The double rooms are significantly more spacious thank the singles. The bathrooms are uniformly tiny which was expected so no big deal. Everything was very clean and the duvets were great.
One big thing. There is no functioning phone for guest use in the hotel. So if you don't have a cell phone/mobile you have to walk to King's Cross every single time you need to make a phone call. It's really, really inconvenient and a bit ridiculous really.

Hotel very central situated. Qiuet area, but close to ransport and Kings Cross. Only bad thing: The a strong SMELL in the hotel was awful. Complaining was useless and nobody could explain why. It is impossible to stay ther for many persons due to the smell. I would not come back until the smell is gone!!!!!

The room I stayed in was small. But for the price I paid, and the amount of time I actually stayed in the room, it was worth it. The location was great. Only 2 minutes from the King's Cross station. I will consider staying here again.

I travel to London almost every week and have tried over 20 hotels over the last year. Wardonia is by far the best value budget hotel I've yet found. It is well-located (within 2 minutes of Kings Cross/St Pancras), the rooms were refurbished within the last year and are clean and quiet, with ensuite shower that works and is temperature stable, the TV works better than many in much more expensive hotels, the staff are helpful and the price is excellent.

perhaps a bit out of city center, but with the underground all it's OK.
the hotel is clean and no noises, staff is kind.
I think that I comeback soon.
