The rooms are small, but the basement rooms open to a courtyard with chairs and tables: makes a difference in Spring and Summer. There are few other public spaces. Most importantly, the helpfulness of the men at the desk could not be surpassed at a five star hotel. They met our need to leave luggage for a few days or a few hours with practised equanimity. And an excellent breakfast, eficiently and cheerfully served.

Slightly disappointed that the window in the room could not be closed properly (and therefore could not be locked). The hotel do offer a safe for valuables but that isn't really the point. WiFi was unreliable. Generally, everything was clean and you won't find much better at the price in London.

Very good location and probably a good relationship between price and quality considering it is in London. The room was really tiny and squalid. Disturbing also the sequence of small tunnels/corridors/doors/steps (a sort of labirinth) to reach the room. About, the employees, generally kind and competent even if one day we didn't succeed to have breakfast for a delay of 3 minutes after the end of breakfast time.

We stayed 4 days and for the position the place was OK (5 min walking from King's Cross station). The staff is very nice and breakfast is ok, but mostly continental more that english breakfast style, but for the rooms the pictures are much nicer on the web than what they are in the reality (bathrooms are without window and small) rooms seems to be much bigger than what they are (we were into 2 singles).

I was fully satisfied with Swinton, as I got what I expected. Small but clean rooms, near Kingscross, for an affordable price. Hotel staff was more than nice! For that money you won't find a lot of places in London which are better located than Swinton. Everything is cramped into a stretch of old town houses. So don't await a spacious place. The rooms are o.k., the breakfast is o.k., the rooms to the back are o.k. and quiet (I don't know about the front, but the road there isn't a major road neither ...). So I would recommend it, especially because of the location close to Kings Cross.

Very noisy place, our room was on Swinton Street. We didn't sleep all night. If we could only have had air conditionned, it would have been a bit better. We would have been able to close the windows. It's a chance we were there only to get the train the next morning at Kings Cross. The photo on the web is not representative of the room we had. The photo was definitively better than what we had.

The location is very convenient to 5 Underground lines. Excellent. Get room in back to avoid street noise. B'fast is quite adequate. Regarding rates: the rate quoted on-line is exactly what you will be charged at Swinton. However, Swinton's walk-in rate is lower. Venere charges Swinton (and all accomodations) a 6 pound (or 10%) fee - PER NIGHT - to utilize their booking service.

Ottima la posizione in quanto si trova a circa 300 m dalla stazione di King Cross, le stanze sono pulite anche se non troppo spaziose, i bagni sono rifatti di recente ed anche alcune stanze del piano terra sono in fase di ristrutturazione. Abbastanza sileniosa la nostra stanza che si affacciava su un cortile secondario. Ottima la colazione continentale con dolce e salato in buona quantità, anche il caffè per essere all'inglese non era malaccio, il personale è tutto giovane e molto cortese...il prezzo della camera con bagno è ottimo....che dire quando tornerò a londra prenoterò sicuramente la Swinton

El hotel es muy céntrico, muy cerca de la estación King's Cross, por lo tanto con todos los accesos disponibles, la relación calidad-precio es muy buena. La habitación estaba muy limpia, que para mí en definitiva era de lo más importante y el desayuno de tipo continental, bastante completo. Las habitaciones algunas son muy pequeñas pero las hay más amplias, y lo bueno es que los baños están dentro de la habitación, porque para mí era un apuro el compartir el aseo. Yo, que pienso volver a Londres volveré a contar con este hotel.

El hotel no estaba tan cerca como pensabamos de la parada del metro, pero todo lo demas fué estupendo. La habitación bastante amplia para lo que es Londres con un baño, todo limpio. Equipada con tv, nevera, microondas e incluso escritorio. El trato bueno, pero el desayuno no era inglés aunque era bueno. Nosotros repetiremos.

I assume that for London standards this is a reasonably good place. Convenient for the Underground station (a 5 minutes walk). Reasonably clean. Nice people. We asked for a room in the "back" and got it, so, even at the ground floor, we had very little noise from the main street; I suspect that the rooms on the front would be rather noisy. Reception, corridords, staircases, room, beds, bathroom (shower only) all really small (the basin is ridiculous for italian standards) but decent (beware you 6-footers: the beds are exactly 6 feet long, and I, being 6-4, i.e., 1.90 meters, had problems to sleep. But so is "inexpensive" London). No tables, only one chair in the 2 bed room for 2 people. A very basic continental breakfast only. But on the whole, considering, as I said, the London standards (with 75 Euros, 2 bed room for 2, per night, not in high season, in Italy you get much better places, even in big cities, apart from Rome and Milano), not a bad place.

we agreed to pay before seeing our room for three. Dont ever do that! there was zero heating in the room and no lights in the bathroom. it made us very anxious. the receptionist checked it and after 5 minutes hesitation he offered an bigger room while they were repairng ours. eventually we did not have to move. they were generous.

hotel situato in ottima posizione della città, bus, stazione metro e del treno vicinissimi,negozi per mangiare e non a due passi;il personale gentile; la camera molto piccola, arredata in modo un pò spartano, ma accogliente e soprattutto pulitissima,il bagno veramente ridotto ma anch'esso molto pulito e cambio asciugamani giornaliero,il lavabo (mai visto così piccolo)e la doccia avevano una miscelazione un pò particolare (bisogna fare qualche prova), carina l'idea del bollitore del tè in camera e dei biscottini secchi per spuntino dell'ultimo momento.Non posso dare informazioni circa la colazione perchè tra una cosa e l'altra la facevamo sempre fuori dall'hotel.Ci ritornerei sicuramente,è un'ottima soluzione dal punto di vista economico e per chi non ha grosse pretese se non quella della pulizia e della praticità.

C'est un petit hotel sympathique et calme, les chambres sont assez petites mais propres avec tout le confort nécessaire. Il ne se situe pas pres du centre-ville mais il est très facile d'acces avec une gare metro/train à 5mn. Il vaut vraiment le coup surtout vu le prix des hôtels londoniens.

The stay was good, but I only recommend to the groups of friends or couples to it, there fore the rooms are small for families or much luggage. The furnishes are old, but the mattress was exelente, the private bath, was clean and functioned, with new taps. The breakfast was basic, tosts, cereals, milk and coffee, but enough. At last, for the price I cannot demand more, therefore of certain that I come back to this "bed&breakfast", and I recommend it to who will have a reduced budget.

La habitación era muy pequeña, sobre todo el baño no pudiendo dejar nada dentro porque no cabía y no hay secador.La calle muy ruidosa por el paso de los coches.No hay suficiente insonorización.Tuve un pequeño problema con la VISA, que me cobraron de más que ya se corrigió.¡Ojo!.Si lo que se busca es un sitio aceptable y barato para pocos días, no está mal.

Das Hotel ist der Katrgorie entsprechend einfach. Wir hatten kleine, dafür aber saubere Zimmer. Auf der Rückseite gelegen, ist es für Londoner Verhältnisse relativ ruhig. Das Gebäude ist etwas älter; kleinere Renovierungsarbeiten sind, ohne zu stören, im Gang. Die Leute sind sehr bemüht und sehr freundlich. Unsere Wünsche aus der Internetbuchung wurden vollumfänglich erfüllt.

das hotel ist verhältnismäßig sauber, das frühstück reichlich und sehr gut, allerdings hat man uns eine bereits geöffnete und mit leitungswasser erneut befüllte plastikflasche (ekeliger geruch) zum trinken auf das zimmer gebracht. war zwar umsonst aber dafür nicht trinkbar. außerdem liegt das hotel neben king´s kross, nicht wie angegeben in holbourn. dennoch kann ich das hotel empfehlen. wir haben sehr gut dort geschlafen.

Great hotel with friendly staff. The rooms were small but clean. The rooms downstairs were smaller and bathrooms did not have shower cubicle. The rooms upstais were a bit bigger and bathrooms had shower cubicle. The location is great with the metro station so close. We would definitely stay again and ask for a room upstairs.

L'albergo è come lo si descrive nel sito. Le camere sono molto piccole, come tutti gli spazi comuni, ma sono ben arredate e pulite. Il bagno era microscopico, ma nuovo e senza moquette o carte da parati!!! Lo consiglio per chi sta fuori tutto il giorno e non ha molte pretese di comodità, ma preferisce la pulizia ed un prezzo che per Londra è bassissimo. Unica pecca la zona che non è proprio delle migliori...

Siamo stati veramente bene. La stanza, piccola ma pulita, con servizi adeguati e asciugamani sempre cambiati ogni giorno. Personale ospitale e sorridente, piacevole anche la prima colazione, insomma un posto consigliabile e dove tornerò volentieri. Oltretutto è ben servito dai mezzi di trasporto, sia bus che metro, ed è quindi facilmente raggiungibile.
