Because the standard of the hotel is not 3 1/2 stars as offered on your web-site but a mere 2 stars, we decided to look for a different hotel.
The room offered was so small that we would have had to climb over our suitcases in order to reach the beds.
There was no wardrobe or closet in the room. On our arrival the floor was covered with paint scraped off the windows, it needed a go with the vacuum cleaner.
Suggestion for venere.com:
The spaciousness of rooms should be commensurate with the rating of the number of stars as stated by the web site information.
I would welcome to be informed of the minimum square metres a room must have in order to qualify as a 3 or 4 star accommodation.

I was probably upgraded (without any mention of it) since I got a small suit instead of the single room booked. The hotel faces a quiet street and is well kept (excellent value for a London hotel at that rate). The nearest surrroundings are rather shabby, but it is conveniently close to St. Pancras and King´s Cross Stations. (= Practical but not flashy.)Clearly recommended, but not primarily for leisure.

If you have already decided to visit rip-off London then you need to leave all thoughts of a reasonable price for anything you purchase behind. Having said that, this Hotel is about as good as it gets. Still expensive for what it is, but room was very clean, was at the back so very quiet. Breakfast basic. In all the times I have stayed in London, I have never experienced staff either at reception or cleaning rooms or serving breakfast whose 1st language was English. Sometimes, reception staff have been almost incapable of communicating in English. This Hotel was not bad, tho when I phoned the Hotel to check my reservation, the person on the phone could barely understand me and repeatedly said "Wha you wan? Wha you wan?" Not great customer service in a London Hotel. I would recommend however. 5 mins from Kings Cross Station where many railway & tube lines pass thru. Also plenty places to eat, tho traffic crazy.

The guy at the reception tried to give me a room in the basement first, mumbling something about an upgrade I had been given in bed sizes or whatever. When he told me top take the elebvator down, I got a little suspicious but went down and had a look. The room was small, very low ceiling, smelled excruciatingly of frying fat and had a window the size of an A4 page leading to a narrow funnel where several exhausts from airconditioning exhaled their fumes. I went up again and said I wanted another room. Guess what? No problem at all. I got an absolutely decent one on the first floor. Nice and spacious, good shower and bathroom. No problem, even above average. Coming down the ckerk asked me innocently whetehr this new room was o.k. I just said: of course it is, and he gave me a big Indian smile. Breakfast: pretty much o.k., save that about half of the butter packs were rancid. I thought I wpuld tell the breakfast lady, so that she could remove the ones that were clearly past their prime, but she got upset and insisted on showing me the "good until" date on the big brown case the packs came in. As if this would chahge the actual fact that the butter was inedible. Of course, those "good for" dates always assume that the stuff is properly cooled all the time, which batch obviously wasn't..
Summary: the place could be o.k., but they have obviously instructed their staff to fill their underground dungeon rooms with those that reserve over the internet and they are unable to admit to a mistake.

We had continental breakfast, which we enjoyed, there was plenty of choice. Our experience at the hotel was very good. The suite was roomy with everything we needed. The staff could not have been more helpful. They were very kind and considerate towards us when a problem arose. We would like to thank the staff for being so caring and thoughtful. We will certainly stay at the Hotel again.

After being disapointed by rooms booked on another site at the start of our holiday. We were extreamly pleased with our accomodation and the service we recieved at this motel. We booked two rooms for 5 people and were very happy with both. I would recommend this motel.

Very impressed. Clean, very convenient and the staff were all friendly & polite.
Some commentators have made reference to the noise levels. Noise was noticeable - I was in the room beside the linen cupboard, but nothing disturbed my sleep.
The breakfast was good, simple, but in keeping with the level of the hotel.
All in all very good value and I would have no hesitation in staying there again. It's put more expensive places I've stayed in to shame.

Very well located just next to King's Cross station but not actually at Covent Garden as announced. Rather noisy if room giving on the road. Comfortable. As for all hotels in London, quite expensive for a first rate hotel. But they all are...

Bref, prafait.
