Well, the location was great - walking distance to Buck Palace & many other attractions. Nice pub right down the street, and the neighorhood felt very safe.
However, our room was the smallest I've ever seen (and I've seen a lot of small rooms) - on the plus side, you could shower and brush your teeth while sitting on the toilet! Our room was right next to the reception closet and the breakfast room, and was incredibly noisy - at 2 AM I could have sworn the night clerk and his friends were actually IN my room. From the comments in the guest book, I suspect the upper floor rooms (ours was in the basement) must be nicer. In spite of the negatives, I'd stay there again for the location and the price.

The hotel is nice for the price you pay. It is located in a very good area, walking distance from everything. Yes, it is very small, hard to fit in the shower cabin and kinda old, but clean and the stuff is friendly and helpful. I would advise for people on the budget to stay there. Walking distance from all tourist attaractions and shopping. By the way, very expensive are in London to live. Margaret Thatcher lives 2 seconds away:)

We spent the last month traveling in Europe. The Belgravia Hotel is by far the worst hotel we stayed in. It could be a quaint old property as described in its web pages. Instead, it is an expensive flop house with cheap furniture, bare rooms, no office and no public area (except the small basement dining room). Except for breakfast, there was essentially no service: no towels in the rooms when we arrived, no shower curtain, no soap available, only hot water in the shower and only cold water in the sink, dirty rug, room cleaned only once (and then poorly), dirty coffee cups and rubbish from last occupant left in the room, etc. The manager was consistently rude to us and to other guests - irritable and arguing about customer requests rather than treating customers with respect and doing her best to fulfill their requests. For example, a customer asked for an egg for breakfast since other customers had already eaten the 10 eggs that had been prepared. Rather than providing an egg, the manager started to argue with the customer about the number of eggs in the budget, that other hotels in the area do not provide breakfast, etc. We learned later that the manager herself had eaten 3 of the 10 eggs that were provided that morning. In sum, the Belgravia Hotel does not provide accommodations and service consistent with the cost of the rooms. We would never stay at the Belgravia Hotel again nor would we recommend that hotel to anyone. Furthermore, we urge Venere to remove the Belgravia Hotel from their listings since it provides such poor accommodations and service.

First, all of them were kind. Actually the hotel room had some problems, and they were full, so they made a reservation on another hotel. When I arrived, they gave me a ride to the hotel, saying my reservation is non ensuite but they reserved an ensuite room. Well, actually the (second) hotel room was not good - tiny, a little smelly, no hot water, bathroom light gone, etc. But that's what I already expected from the reviews of these area hotels. At least the first (Belgravia) hotel responded all of my emails, made their effort to make another reservation, and also the (second) hotel owner allowed late departure. All of them were responsive and kind.

Please avoid this hotel. They tried to put us in a room smaller than my bathroom at home. When I couldn't get a nights sleep due to the poor bed, mosquitoes and loud music in the alley they arranged to have a front room which, while better, what noisy and problematic. Their policy states 48 hour notice or you loose two days rent (about 300 dollars). When you mention something is wrong with your room the staff gets hostile... and I could go on. Just save yourself the trouble and rent elsewhere.

upon arrival we were asked to pay for the second night straight away. the receptionist wasnt happy about us coming back really late in the night because i guess he would be sleeping. very rude staff in the morning. the only nice guy was a french? receptionist on the day of departure. bkfast was poor and time for bkfast too short. we paid extra for an en suite bathroom an we found a tiny plastic cabin where you could not move neither to do your human necesities or to shower...it would have been better to used the common ones which were bigger and cleaner.the pictures on the website do not honour the reality that you will find. I DONT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL AT ALL...I WORK IN THE HOTEL INDUSTRY AND KNOW THIS BUSINESS WELL...

The room we were given was in the cellar, it had 2 bunk beds(4 beds in total). The bathroom if you can call it that was so small that when you sat on the toilet you couldn't shut the door, not good when sharing with another person. We couldn't stand in the shower as our head touched the ceiling and i'm not over tall(5'9"). The room was damp and for someone who as asmatha it isn't good. I know we didn't pay a lot for the room, but we expected better. The breadkfast wasn't much better, it was CHEAP bread and tea bags and the meat was plastic and just disgusting. I will not be recommending this hotel to ANYONE.

This a nice small hotel in the absolute perfect location. There are only 13 rooms on 5 floors. The owner Daniel is a great guy even when he didn't seem to be aware of our reservation. It's true that the ensuite bathrooms are tiny, but useful for people not good with a lot of stairs. The common bathrooms are much larger and are located in between floors where the stairs turn. Good English breakfast in the common area, and the other guests were all friendly. They seemed to be a younger long-term crowd. Again, the location cannot be beat, especially when you need to catch an early coach out of town! I don't know why this hotel has so many low ratings. If you want a large American-style hotel room, stick with the chain names that you recognize.

Excellent location (very close to Victoria Bus and Train stations)... quality lacking though. DO NOT get an ensuite room - the smelly, and TINY bathroom is not worth the extra cost. The public bathroom in the hotel was clean and large. Room cleanliness left a lot to be desired. English breakfast was good in the morning and the internet access in the common area was easily accessible. I am not a picky person, but the prices were high for the quality. Was a last-minute booking on a weekday, and as a result this was our only choice. Could have paid less in the same vacinity for same quality accommodations if had been able to book farther out from date. Might as well book somewhere cheaper for same quality.

We had a nice stay. The sheets were clean, the room was a decent size. The public bathrooms were nice and clean, but a little messy in the mornings after everyone uses it of course. Breakfast is nice, cooked to how you want it, nice strong coffee. Free internet at certain hours only but shared among everyone. Safe location and close to coach/train/metro stations.

The stay was OK. Good location and very reasonable rate.
The breakfast offered was very poor though (cold/greasy).
The photos on the site make it look more appealing than it is in reality.
Was however, quite clean and many of the washroom areas had been refurbished.

I was very surprised that there is no bath room in the room. If a bath room in the room is not available, it should be stated in the Web side or other sources.
The room next to me was very noisy during the night because of their "instinctive" performace. This is not hotel owner's fault, but the thicknesses of the door and walls may be able to be managed.

The staff was nice, rooms are clean. The only problem is the size of the rooms. Surprisingly small rooms! The bed is OK however. It was not indicated in the web site, that there are common bathrooms. Refurbished rooms meand new bed only. The breakfast is poor, and boring after 4 days. This is a minimal hotel with nice Polish staff. A hotel for one-visit tourists. They don't count on returning guests.

We booked a double on-suite and what we got was a double room with a very small caravan type toilet plonked in the corner of the room. Even a 10 year old would find this "toilet" a very tight fit and for elderly people, I would say that it was dangerous as the toilet door does not open completely due to obstructions in the room, ie the bed, and one could easily fall trying to get in and out of the toilet. I decided to use the outside community toilet instead.
The welcome from reception was brief and without smile. Just "ok you have paid. Here are your keys". For breakfast we had full english breakfast. The portions are acceptable but the beans weren't even cooked. Bring your own tomato ketchup, as they don't provide any.
Returning our keys on our last day at the reception on the basement, we said thank you and goodbye. The receptionist took the keys from us and said OK and closed the door behind her! Even Fawlty Towers staff managed better than that!
On the good side of hotel, it is clean-ish and very close to Victoria station. Anything else...hymm...NO.

We booked two rooms, one for two people and the second for three. At least one month before arriving. We arrived a bit early in the morning and ask for the room to be prepared. On our return, the triple room was not ready at all, and we had to move to another one, as in the one we moved to there were a bathroom included. We have then been ask to pay 15pounds more... How can they offer room for three if they don't have any?! Except that part this bed&breakfast is well located and in a very quite location.
