Its not a cheap hotel, but the facilities are clean and ordered. Our room was not big, but it was enough for us. The employees were competent and kind with us. Some people said the bed was too hard, it was true, but we like it. The buses, and the metro stations were so near, and a lot of shops and pubs.

We wanted to spend the weekend in London, so we needed somwthing easy to reach from the centre. The hotel was a bit dificult to find at first, but it was well connected to the centre both by bus and underground. The room was exactly as advertised. There were four of us and one of the rooms was quite big whereas the other one was a bit too small. Apart from that, I would strongly recommend this hotel.

This was my first time staying at the Hyde Park. I have been to London more times than I can count -- staying in everything from charming flats, to run-down family-run hotels,to a private club, to giant anonymous tourist hotels, to a suite at the Ritz -- but I made this reservation very late at a time when London was almost sold out. My room held a large bed, a kitchenette and a tiny bedside table without even a clock. There was no closet nor a real shelf for organizing. And the bathroom was so small it was impossible to wash one's face at the sink with the door closed. I was surprised at how hard the bed was and that it did not have a mattress cover. Americans are accustomed to that. But it was surprisingly comfortable. It would be helpful for someone in authority to stay there one night, because all but the tininess of the bathroom can be resolved. The shower was extended so high that when I turned it on the spray fell outside the shower, causing a major puddle. This can be easily corrected. The window was painted over, and room had absolutely no light even at midday, which was unnerving and should somehow be addressed, but what was most bothersome was I could clearly hear conversations in my neighbor's room...as a matter of fact, I could hear but not understand the person on the other end of my neighbor's telephone. I don't know if anything can be done about that. Carpeting would help dampen the sound. These people have a lot of little glitches to straighten out. But the place is brand new, kept very, very clean, and the staff is eager to make it work. I think they will succeed. If all you need is a place to sleep, this is a good choice.

+Excellent location, quiet area, near to Peddington Sta.(Heathrow Express),Undeground Sta.(Bayswater,Queensway),shopping centers, restaurants. +Recently renovated/refurbished,digital TV,,airconditioned +Coffee, tea, cookies in the room -Acustic insulation - virtual -Extremly small rooms(single rooms - cages) -No head lamps, lamps can be turned off only by their wall switches which are far from the beds (near by the room entry door) -Poor kitchenware -Only one chair and a small table per room regardless to the number of people (for those who would like to having their meals in the room)

The hotel was lovely, completely remodeled. Room was small (which I expected) and decorated nicely. Issues were: Reception area is not clearly indicated. It is in a glass walled room at the rear which is more like an office. Elevator was broken when we were checking in (eventally fixed), so we had to walk up to 4th floor with heavy luggage. It would have been nice to have been put on first floor in this situation, as I got the impression the hotel was not fully booked. It had a bit of cold, new feel to it, but I am sure in time that will change. Hallways are hardwood so every passer by our room could be clearly heard...especially if female in heels. Walls separating rooms are thin. My biggest issue was the bed. I was awake what felt like all night. It was litterly like sleeping on a concrete slab! I cannot emphasize that enough. Absolutely awful! I have never slept on anything like this in my entire life and looked to see if there was even a mattress on the bed. There was, but it was more like the box spring that goes underneath a mattress. Absolutely zero give or cushioning. I had a pain in my arm the next morning as I generally sleep on my side. I mentioned when checking out that they must have spent a lot of money to renovate the hotel, but obviously tried to save money on the beds. I told them it was awful. There was also only one pillow on the bed. Most hotels provide two and even extras. I would stay at this hotel again ONLY if they changed the beds.

The breakfast is not included (but the room rates are quite expensive!)! You will find a kitchenette and coffe&tea facilities. The hotel is new and very clean. We staid in a double room and it was not very big but it is not so important if you stay in London to visit the city.
