First stop at Hotel Blakemore. Shall certainly return.

The location is very good, the rooms too small, but I mean TOO small, no room for lagagge or cloths; elevators too small you can wait for a long time for an empty one,the bedss very comfortable lucks cleanness.

Good, clean and sensibily priced. £9.50 for breakfast was too expensive for this standard of hotel.

the rooms are as small as it is very often mentionned in the comments written about this hotel so no surprise. It is particularly well situated in London, near Kensington Gardens and close to the underground and to several bus lines. Very convenient to easily move around from a pleasant place. I did appreciate also the electric kettle in the room ! VERY good relationship between price and quality. Information not given on the website : they keep 20 £ as deposit if you pay cash till your departure. They are also two interseting exchange offices close to the hotel : one in teh same street, one close to the underground station.

it will be better if the receptionist don't wake you up at 8.30 am just to know when you will live the room!!!! If I not specify it's logic that I will leave it when I'll check out!!!!!!!!!!

The bathroom was really small, the ceiling very low and the sink was in the room. Generally speaking, the staff was friendly, but one night I asked my room's keys at the desk in the hall and they were missing. The person there asked me more than twice if I really left the key there, and when he had no other choice, sent a waiter with us in order to open the door. The waiter asked me again if I really left the key in the hall and he suggested I threw it to the litter!! This made me feel really angry. Finally the key appeared the night after, and they told me it was in the reception all the time.

Staff at Blakemore is extremely professional, businesslike. They hardly smile when offering their help to guests and each time we had a request it was like they were annoyed by our interrupting them in their work. This is the only thing that, as a tourist, we have perceived as unsatisfactory: they do not seem to be very customer-oriented, but rather work-oriented. Is this a new trend for staff in the tourism business?

We had read some comments about both the cleanliness and size of the rooms. Our biggest concern was whether or not the room would be clean, knowing that in London the rooms would be small (and that was OK). Our room was clean, had no complaints other than it was facing the road and we had to sleep with the window open since the heat was turned on for the winter. The bed also seemed to be a rollaway, and was not all that comfortable. Overall, I'd say we got a very reasonable rate so we were happy with it.

have stayed there 5 times,1st time was very good, every other time the rooms have been too small, this last time I was given a room I could hardly turn round in,on top of the tube line,to be fair,I was moved to a little larger room on the front of the building, the in room safe did not work,Iwas promised it would be fixed, nothing happened, the cold water went, same story,no shower for two days, the best about the hotel is the location, but then you get what you pay for!and it will be the same in every other hotel,so be glad you get the location.

the hotel is difficult to find , not near airport. outer door locked have to make phone call to gain entrance to an alley then found note on door regarding room numbers. no staff at all in early evening. room tiny cramped , showers horrible, breakfast room carpet filthy a most unpleasant place even for cheaper prices. The Royal Norfolk in paddington little better good location staff unfriendly , rooms tiny bathreems worse than public toilets . They did however have a decent breakfast room and breakfast. do not recomend either of these properties to anyone , facilities little more than back packer accommodation and the this one was very noisy

This was the first time I booked accomodation through Venere for London. The Blakemore lived up to my expectations. Facilities were bright and clean; room cleaned and refreshed daily. The whole Blakemore experience was good value for money. Thank you.

- The GOOD: 1. I paid 47 pounds, no breakfast 2. Clean place, TV set (but you have to like the BBC cause no cable), next to Queensway - The BAD : 1. Never seen such a tiny room (well, corridor? 3m x 2m). I guess that sufficient if your are alone and looking for the best location/price ratio. It really looks like a boat cabin! 2. Never been in such a loud place : The underground train runs right under your bed every 20 minutes and wakes you up at 5:00am. After that, a guy fixing the roof was making crazy noise from 8:00am on, on Saturday morning! The coridor is also very loud since the cabin door is thin. Bottom-line: Would be OK for a cheaper price, but get up early (probably after the first couple of trains passing underneath)

4th time at Blakemore, and the rooms offered is getting worse. First stay exellent doubleroom, second time ok room, third time small room, unable to lock the door and had to wait two/three hours for another room, fourth time the smallest room ever experienced when in London. Superb breakfast and very good location makes up for some of this.

For me is the location of the hotel very important. Near to Quennsway, with all the restaurants - shops - and pubs, Paddington, Notting Hill, two tube stations and Kensington Gardens is a perfect location. Nice hotel with a very nice lobby bar where you meet other nice guests!! and a nice clean bed in a rather small room, but that is quite common in english hotels! I am very satisfied with my stay. Good hotel to an reasonable price.

I think it was expensive considering the conditions of the room, but I know London is a very expensive city. However, the room was small, with no good decoration, very simple and there was a lot of noise, specialy at morning early.

I had forgotten how poor the English customer service standards are. Rooms are adequate although the hotel only had 2 irons and you had to leave a 10 pound deposit and fetch it yourself. Do not ever let them organize a taxi for you as it will cost 3 times the amount a london cab would cost. Employees not friendly!!

For a hotel in London prices were ok - although high in comparison with other cities. Rooms small, but usually you do not stay there too long so this did not cause problems. Safe was in the closet. Big difference between the atmospere of the lobby and the rooms (we had 2 double and 1 single ...). Very good located with lots of shops and restaurants within 5 mins footwalk.

In our opinion this is a very good and affordable hotel for tourists and other visitors to central London. We particularcly liked the location, the proximity to Notting Hill, Kensington, Notting Hill and Paddington area. Only 10 minutes walk to little Venice and pleasant boat trip to Camden Lock market.

Thank You for a very pleasent stay. If it were possible, we suggest a handle in the shower, in order to avoid falling because of slippery floor. The rooms were quite small, but usable. The breakfast was excellent. We shall return.

Great holiday, the hotel was nice and the room very comfortable. Just too much noise from the other rooms or when the tube is running near: probable the rooms need more quiet. But I will surely come back to the Blakemore next time in London.

Service was very good. I guess London is supposed to be expensive but in comparison to my hotel experiences in all other countries, the amount paid provided little in terms of a nice room. Nothing was horrendous, it was just a run down room without a refrigerator or air conditioning. We slept well and when we requested sheets for our bed (there was only a comforter with which we could cover ourselves), service was very prompt.

Nice looking hotel from outside, old tiny rooms inside. The hotel looks really clean, at least our room and the public areas were. Apart that nothing good can be said about rooms. Tiny, oldish, the sink is in the room under the mirror with the the typical British two taps, single windows. Every noise from around is heard inside the room, the lift, the neighbors (luckily they were not noisy. At night the light from the corridor can be seen around the door as it doesn't fit, pretty old that too. The staff is just OK, nothing remarkable good or bad. At 49£ for Sunday night and 62£ the rest of the nights NOT including breakfast I find it's not good quality/price, it's just acceptable when one doesn't have better choices. And I noticed they ask for 99-109£ for the Saturday nights which is highly exaggerated. The breakfast at the additional 9.50£ is pricey. Overall the hotel has two assets: the cleanliness and the location. At 49£ I would stay there again, at 99£ I would not.

The walking distance to Blakemore from Pattington Station was a little longer than I expected. In our reservation we had requested a double room, but when we got there we were given a large room on the 3rd floor with 3 single beds. However this was quickly amended once I returned to the reception area, where we were given a double room on the ground floor. The room itself was rather basic and small. As you enter the room there is a short hallway with the bathroom situated to the right and ahead we found the width of the room just about enough to accommodate the double bed. The staff members at Blakemore carried out their job fine, but there were no indication nor signs of them wanting to make you feel more welcomed in their efforts. Our check out time was 11am. Having decided not to have breakfast at the hotel (pricey at £9.95 per person) we would relax and get ready to check out at the time stated instead. However from 9am and every 20-30 minutes that followed we had staffs knocking at the door for room service. Had I took it any other way I'd almost think they were trying to hurry and usher us out! Overall, for the one night stay Blakemore wasn't too bad and it's reasonable priced for a 3 star hotel. Only thing is, it didn't look nor feel like the 3 star hotel that it's meant to be.

Pleasant hotel in residential area, though Saturday night revellers into the early hours from nearby pubs made sleep difficult as my room was on the ground floor on the main street. Room size good for hotels of this price range with decent-sized bathroom. Bed far too soft for comfort, however. Breakfast is expensive at £9.95 for cooked English and £5.95 for continental.

The real payed price differed very much from the booked. The price in March was 312€ but we payed 447€. We were very disapointed of these high price. Perhapse you can explain me this. Today the bookeable price is the same we took.

If you are a tourist and you would like to go in the parks (3 minutes from Hyde Park), this is the hotel for you. If you do not need to stay in the hotel and, as a tourist, you will stay always out, the single standard room is ok but believe me the space in the room is ridicolous. Moreover my room, fifth floor, was close to the lift and I heard everything...all night long...So, do not go in this hotel if you are there for business.

Everything was really good, the location, the cleaning of the room etc..BUT the kindness of the staff: we asked them some information about where we could have the dinner around the hotel (we were two girls and we tried to get information about where the young people usually go during the weekend too, it was enough only a suggestion!) but we got bad answers..with the basic meaning..figure it out by your own!
