The hotel is personally managed by the owners; fascinating Aeolian pictures and artefacts, a veritable museum in themselves, line the walls and these, together with the characteristic Aeolian courtesy and frienliness, create a very special attractive and welcoming atmosphere.
If desired, we have an arrangement with several typical restaurants of the island (200 metres distant).
If you do not yet know the Aeolian Islands, now is the time to act!Bewitching you with new tastes and sounds, this land will take you to its heart, a land which seems to rise from the sea each morning and sink back into it again at sunset.
Book now! We will do everything possible to make your holiday splendid,
carefree and unforgettable. It will be an honour and a pleasure for us to
receive you as our most esteemed guests.
Welcome to the Aeolian Islands!

The hotel was great and the staff was very friendly. They also had a great breakfast buffet in the morning.

From the moment we were collected from the ferry until we were left back we were really well looked after by the staff in Hotel Oriente. The breakfasts were the best we had in a two week holiday in Sicily, and the staff were always friendly and helpful. The Hotel public areas and dining room are a very interesting experience. I have never seen so much memorabilia/antiques in one area. We would definitely go back to this Hotel.

The hotel is very close to the main street (center) and yet, in a quiet area. Rooms are nice with a balcony or access to the hotel garden. Breakfast was good. Staff were very friendly and helpfull.

This place is "different". Not much to do on Lipari, beaches only, but eh don't need to go there again. Hotel Oriente has lots of old junk, crap, antiques, whatever you want to call them in the bar area. This is also the breakfast room. Jsut too much "stuff". Room was clean, spacious. Nice patio area.

The hotel was very relaxed, friendly staff and good breakfast. Very close to main street and harbour, also the park - great for my 2 year old daughter. We had a garden room and the garden was also nice & relaxing. Top time!

Stayed 1 night (though wish we could stay at least a week) in one of the garden rooms. Garden is beautiful, room with a lovely, flowery terrace. Extremely friendly and helpful staff (we were picked up from the port). Hearty breakfast served in the eclecticaly decorated bar, in summer served in the garden. Seems very suitable for longer stays.

The garden rooms are passable. However, the rooms not in the garden are well below average. The bathrooms are full of mould, chipped tiles and are generally disgusting - and yet these rooms are the same price as the garden rooms. The towels in the bathroom were multicoloured due to bleach stains and the tiny shower had a mouldy shower curtain that would stick to the person showering. Apart from the rooms, the breakfast was very good and staff generally friendly.

Très bon accueil. Petit déjeuner très copieux, patron attentif et souriant.

Great to have lemon and orange trees with ripe fruit right above our heads as we dined in the outside part of the restaurant on the property.

While the room was pleasant and the breakfast exceptional, staff should learn not to be surprised by two men staying in a room together (i.e., in one bed!).

The Oriente was lovely. The decor is a bit ecceletic, but the room was nice with air-conditioning. The staff is extremely nice and breakfast was a buffet with meats and cheeses in addition to pastries and coffee. Overall, a great place to stay on Lipari.

I stayed at Oriente with my husband and parents to celebrate our 1st anniversary and we had a wonderful time. The staff were very helpful, the location of the hotel is perfect because it is very close to shopping/eating areas as well as the port, and the breakfast included was delicious! The rooms were a bit small and my parents' room smelled strongly of mildew, but as we weren't in the rooms much, we didn't mind! I would gladly stay at Oriente again in the future!

Accueil très cordial,très bon service. La disposition des chambres dans le jardin est très agréable et les petits déjeuners très copieux. Hôtel à recommander.

I was very upset about the number of ants and slugs and other insects that stayed with us in our room. The bathroom was covered with them. I was unable to get an employee to help me since there was a soccer game on and they were no where to be found. The gardens were dirty and also buggy. The website makes it sound beautiful, but it certainly is not.

Beautiful island, very very nice people (they took us from and to boat). Problem with warm water and ants !

The service of the staff was excellent providing much appreciated information on things to do and how to get around the island. Staff were more than willing to lug our "portable wardrobes" up to our rooms. On our departure (very very early in the morning)the staff and owner insisted that we sat down and had a proper breakfast (even though the breakfast area hadn't opened yet. They even offered to drive us to the ferry terminal (which wasn't far at all) to give us the extra time we needed to have breakfast. Rooms are clean and nice and quiet (even though we were only 50 metres from the main shopping road). Overall a very enjoyable experience. We would definitely stay again.

One of the best hotels in this category we stayed in Sicily during our 2 week trip. Very friendly staff, interesting interior design (loads of old tools and other things), great breakfast, the room had a terrace and a place to dry your clothes etc.

The perfect place for a visit to the islands. The staff is most helpful, and the breakfast is first class. They also provide a shuttle bus on arrival and departure, if you let them know, when you need it.

For everyone who is looking for a pitoresque place at Lipari with very nice people and can make some amendments to comfort the "Oriente" is a MUST!

There was edge of small old city area . I stayed single room ,It was good room for that price except shower room, because it was a little narrow for me. There was no restaurant, but there were many many restaurants only a few minutes. Breakfast was good(not at garden).

The quality of the service of the staff of the Oriente was excellent. We were also given good recommendations as to where to eat, which tours to take and what to see around the island. The room was very nice and was set in a really beautiful garden with the smell of jasmines all around. My stay here was quite different from the usual run of the mill hotels. Breakfast was also good and the breakfast room had a good feel to it. I would definitely strongly recommend this place to anyone.

This hotel was fantastic! The host was very welcoming and the staff friendly. The breakfast was amazing - so much choice! We would definately stay there again when visiting Lipari!

The hotel is also a museum with lots of local artefacts standing around in the garden and in the main building which give it a warm and relaxed atmosphere. We had a room in the garden which was quiet and had a terrace to share with the room next door. The breakfast was the best we ever had in a comparable hotel with lots to choose from at the buffet. Another plus: the laundry racket every terrace is equipped with to hang your clothes outside to dry.

Excellent staff made this a great place to stay. Rooms facing the street are a little noisy, but they are clean and air conditioned. Breakfast was awesome. Bathrooms clean.

This was a lovely place, with staff welcoming and kind. There's only one person who spoke English there, though, and although pretty central, there's more of a walk to the hotel than to most others in Lipari. Saying that, they will offer to send round a car for you from the port if you're really loaded down with luggage. The breakfast was lovely too, with a variety of ham and cheeses as well as cereals and bread

I had a wonderful time and the staff and owner were very welcoming, courteous, friendly and caring. Wonderful Hotel/Pensione with lots of character, piano-forte in the main lounge/dining area, only a few minutes from the central hub of activity on Lipari Island.

I was very disappointed not to have been able to have breakfast in the garden as it was one of the main things that attracted me to this hotel in the first place, and it was emphasized on the website too. I would have liked to see on the website that breakfast in the garden is only available from a certain date so as to have known beforehand.

I enjoyed my stay and decided to add additional days at the hotel due to the friendliness of staff, quality of the room and location, and services offered. The garden area was beautiful and the breakfasts were excellent. Staff was always friendly and appropriate as well as courteous. Wish I could have stayed longer!
