Location adjacent to the train station, close to Lille downtown. The hotel has excellent sound proof for outside noise, minimal sound proof for interior noise (hall and other guests). Excellent location and hotel for travelling with a family.

Double room at front of property O.K. We have stayed in similar room before.
This time was just a 2night weekend break.
Last time we stayed at this Hotel breakfast was included in price; this time it was extra -but after taking breakfast on first day we eat elsewhere on second day. Breakfast was not worth the extra and relative service in breakfast room was unsatisfactory.

This is a good, basic Hotel, close to the Euro Star station, and to the City Centre. We always believe that the Hotel just needs to be a base, for exploring Cities and Hotel Le Continental is a good base, with friendly staff and suited us very much.
It only offers breakfast, and this is an extra, but once you had become accustomed to the buffet style (no staff present) then this first meal of the day can be as light or large as you should so wish.
We only saw a few people whilst staying here, but know that as the Hotel has 5 floors they must have been in there somewhere !!
There are many restaurants/bars serving good food nearby, and it is only a short step away from the bakeries where you can purchase your own lunches if you are on the move.
We enjoyed our stay very much, it offered us just what we needed and we look forward to returning later in the year for the Christmas Markets.

The hotel was ideally located and seemed to represent good value for money, especially as we were able to get a room for 4 (2 adults and 2 children). However, the room was cramped and not very appealing. The tv didn't work. The sheets were spotless, but the blankets looked horribly dirty. The carpets were dirty. The bathroom was extremely basic, the shower didn't work properly and needed updating. Overall it is great for its central location but that is it. I wouldn't recommend it!

Le Continental is a great place for a short break to Lille. We were travelling with two small boys (6 and 4) and the location near both train stations and the central district was a godsend.
We were in the family room overlooking the gare de Flandres station. The room was very spacious and comfortable for the price. The breakfast was excellent, again given the price.
This is not a luxury property of course, but it doesn't present itself that way. It is good value for money, the breakfast is above average and everything you want to see in Lille is no more than a 20 minute walk (most things within 10 minutes).
We had a great time in Lille, if you have children with you the Lille Zoo (free) is a 20 minute walk from the hotel and situated in a beautiful park on the northwest outskirts of the central district. A great place to spend an afternoon.

very good position: in front of the rail station (gare Lille - Flandre) that is an excellent point in Lille. From the hotel is easy to go to Vieux Lille and all interesting.
The Hotel is a 3 stars, but i think it is better to say a good 2 stars.

We enjoyed our stay in Lille. The central location was very convenient and the hotel well kept. The breakfast was all right, although not memorable. The bed was comfortable, the room clean. While not fancy, it suited our needs.
