HOTEL OVERVIEW

Hotel Medusa Splendid Lignano Sabbiadoro - Venere.com exterior - entrance This four-star hotel has recently been completely refurbished. It is surrounded by the green of Lignano Pineda, and is located just a few yards from the sea.

This resort is both well-known and well-loved by tourists from all over Europe, and is the ideal place for those who prefer a holiday on a more human scale, without surrendering the comfort and liveliness of the warm Lignano summer.

The deep blue sea washing the golden beach, and the cool, green pine wood. This is the Hotel's natural environment, with a private beach with sun-beds, beach umbrellas, and private changing rooms.

Bicycles are available for the use of all the Hotel's guests from children to adults. There is a private, fenced car park.

The whole hotel is very nice and all the rooms seems to be renovated only 1 or 2 years ago. And although it is situated in the centre of Pineta it is very quietly because of the large sunbathing area. The employees have been very competend and friendly. First of all the team in the dining-room. But special thanks goes to Sig. Sabine from the reception for her kindness by helping us to arrange our affairs and she was the only one who spoke german. My advice for other travellers from Austria and Germany: Improve and practice your english-knowledge and be sure that not everyone speeks german.

We have stayed in Lignano Pineta many times before and we therefore know many of its hotels, so now we can say that the Medusa Splendid is certainly one of the best choices in town. Despite its very central position (wonderful but in a quite noisy environment), once the soundproof windows are closed no sound comes from the street anymore (having a 6 months old baby we definitely appreciated this point). The staff is highly professional and always very kind and the restaurant definitely deserves a special mention. We chose the full board option and all the three times that we had dinner out with some friends we must admit that we thought twice before renouncing to our dinner at the hotel. The rooms are larger than usual and kept very clean and both the garden and the swimming pool are kept in perfect conditions.
