The best (from the website) - the panorama restaurant was closed and I was quite disapointed. The rooms were very small but O.K. We spent some pleasant hours in the american bar with life music. We arrived quite late in the afternoon and had to leave early in the next morning, so we couldn't feel the maritime flair of the location but it might be nice at daytime.

Prima volta all'hotel rex e sono rimasto stupito dalla posizione dell'albergo, dalla camera ti puoi quasi tuffare in mare. ottima l'accoglienza e la disponibilità dello staff. Ristorante eccellente come pure la carta dei vini.

the room is classical italian vintage beach style '70 (bare furnishing, no carpet/moquette). the bathroom is nice. wrong sign: room with windows frames too old.

By airplane
From Pisa Galileo Galilei airport take the Firenze-Pisa-Livorno expressway toward Livorno till the Livorno exit. Merge onto the SS1 national road and follow along until the Via del Litorale waterfront, where the hotel is located.
