The staff was vere plesant. Room very simple and I was very surprised without AC!!! Direct the hotel railroad and very noisy road with many motorcycles during all night. Awful breakfast, but very delicious supper.

The photos and description of the hotel gave the impression that the hotel had easy access to the beach. While the hotel is actually facing the beach you have to walk to the station to pass under the railway tracks to get to it! The railway and the road are also very noisy.The hotel is in a good position for excursions but not at walking distance from anywhere. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

Nous sommes très mécontents de cet hotel, très mal situé: la voie ferrée, très fréquentée, passe sous les fenetres ainsi que la route nationale: l'absence de climatisation n"a pas permis de fermer les fenetres: nous n'avons pas dormi de la nuit, alors que nous aviobns voyagé toute la journée et repartions lendemain

We were very disappointed and alarmed at this hotel. When we arrived, we found that it was very noisy and not air conditioned. When my husband, an early riser, went to take a walk at 6:00 AM, he found that the hotel entrance was padlocked...from outside! This is so unsafe and a clear violation of fire regulations. When the clerk arrived we were shown a key hidden at the front desk that would have opened a basement door in an emergency. We left that day and would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

ci sono stata per un week end ,andavo a trovare i miei in occasione del compleaano di mia madre ,li ho invitati a cena in questo hotel ed hanno persino preparato la torta per festeggiare la mamma.Il ristorante offre il meglio e sinceramente e' migliore di molti ristoranti della zona .Io all'albergo darei una rinnovatina tipo internet ed aria condizionata ma per tutto il resto e' stata un'ottima esperienza.ci tornero' di sicuro

A lovely hotel - run by delightful and helpful people. They really went out of their way to assist us and make our stay enjoyable. A highlight of our holiday was a hotel-organised boat trip to Portofino. Highly Recommended!

Busy train-rails and busy roads run between the hotel and the beach making sound sleep impossible. The picture of the hotel is misleading in this respect.

For a 3 star hotel with no bedroom air conditioning and pool (which we knew about from the hotel description) was surpising. The hotel is outside Lavagna at Citti and there’s not much to do there. We had to arrange our own beach facility by paying money to a local owner fro a chair and parasol. Once that was sorted out we had a reasonable time. We stayed for a week, perhaps the hotel is better geared for people staying one or two nights only. The railway and road are situated between the hotel and the beach which can make the room noisy at night. Rail connections were good. Definitely a hotel for the Italians. 2nd July 2005

A lovely nicely run property. The positives were: friendly staff, huge rooms, beautiful view of the sea, beaches across the road, decent breakfast. The negatives: , property is in Cavi not Lavagna, Cavi is about half an hour's walk to Lavagna, very little to do in Cavi and train service is very poor (once an hour), no airconditioning (assumed there would be because property had central heating), no frigobar despite being advertised in web site, very noisy when the trains go past (especially in the morning) difficult to communicate with staff (we speak little Italian and they spoke little English). If you are travelling without a car and want took around the Ligurian Coast, we recommend staying in Rapallo or Cinque Terre, not Cavi or even Lavagna, even though it is much more expensive than this property.

The staff went to trouble to ensure that someone was available who spoke English and to meet my needs. The hotel was very accommodating when I wished to have two extra people share my room for a couple of nights. The food was excellent, as were the waiting staff in ensuring my dietry needs were met. The atmosphere in the dining room was bright and bustling which was cheering compared to other sombre dining rooms I have experienced. The hotel is near the station and well located for exploring up and down the coast by train. Day trips to the Cinque Terre and Portofino were easy to take. A great value for money hotel.

Staff very friendly and helpful, although we don't think they have many English speaking visitors.

Very nice Hotel and the excursion with the boat off the owner where perfect
