They advertise this hotel as 'gorgeous'. It most definitely is NOT gorgeous! It IS a unique historical building but the outside areas are run down and dirty. It sounds idyllic to have geese wandering around by your bedroom door (which was a ground floor room, opening directly on to the back garden). However the mess from the geese and the millions of mosquitos on the river made it impossible to sit outside in that area. The room had good points -the en-suite and jacuzzi were great and there was Sky TV. The room was sparsely furnished and had no drawers or wardrobe, just a clothes rail. During our 5 days there we ate at the hotel 3 evenings. We asked for a menu but they said one did not exist. We are used to ordering in Italian so that wasn't a problem. At check-out we found that the food, although pleasant, was greatly over-priced. The interior rooms looked clean at first glance, but cobwebs on chairs in the lounge were there all of our stay and the windows in our bedroom were dirty with cobwebs. You do need a car as the hotel is on the Via Appia miles from anywhere.

Unfortunatelly we were only one night, this is a nice place elegant, with a charming atmosphere we enjoyed it and recommend it

HOW TO REACH THE HOTEL

By car
From the A24 highway, take the A1 highway and proceed along svincolo Frosinone for around 1.1 km, then turn right onto the SS156. After around 40 km, turn right again onto the SS7 and proceed for around 5.2 km.

By train
The hotel is situated around 7 km from the Latina Scalo railway station.

By airplane
The Leonardo da Vinci-Fiumicino airport is about 80 km away.
