Be careful when you give your credit card number as a reservation guarantee! I was charged for one night (and fortunately received a sms about this) the morning of my arrival day, and the reception admitted that only after MUCH insistence on my side! Not good relationship price/quality, it definitively looks more like a hostel..poor breakfasts, and tourist office of the hotel is NOT helpful at all. You can find something better!

It's very near city center. But hard to find. I booked a double room, however i stayed in twin room. Breakfirst's very simple. No air conditioning (cool air).

Good hotel for backpackers, I mean, if you don't want to spend too much money and you are looking for a hotel near to the main atractions this would be a good option. Pros: location, free internet access and price Cons: no A/C in rooms and poor breakfast

Clear and cheap hotel, helpful crew, perfect location. Breakfast is simple baut goog (expecially the cheese). Recommended! --------------- Hotel pulito e a buon mercato, staff disponibile, ubicazione perfetta. La colazione è semplice, ma buona (soprattutto il formaggio). E' consigliabile chiedere una stanza che non dia sulla facciata principale perché la sera raccolgono l'immondizia proprio sotto le finestre dell'albergo e finché non la tolgono puzza un po'. Se si viene in taxi, conviene dire al tassista di portarvi a Çemberlitaş perché quasi nessuno conosce la via vera e propria.

The first room we were offered smelled molded and moist (No 314). We returne the key and got without any comments another room. This one smelled like 100 pairs of backpacker shoes (No 212). We didn`t complain once more as this room was at least light and had a window. But all of our clothes had to be washed after we returned back home. Breakfast is great (except for coffee), W-LAN worked opimally and hotel location is perfect.

I loved my stay at the Cordial House! We stayed there from September 17 - 21, 2006. As promised, someone was at the airport to transport us to the hotel which was really nice and convenient. The location was absolutely PERFECT! So close to all the major tourist spots such as the Blue Mosque, Grand Bazaar, Hagia Sofia, etc. Also, it was very close to a tram stop. The staff at the hotel were all super friendly, they spoke perfect English, and they were always ready and willing to accommodate. I HIGLY recommend staying at the Cordial House. The only thing I would have changed about my stay is that I would have requested a room without a street view because the street was a bit noisy at night. Enjoy your stay in Istanbul, it is a WONDERFUL city!

La ubicacion es perfecta. Las habitaciones muy limpias, especialmente el baño, en nuestro caso se mantuvo muy limpio. Las camas, muebles , closets y alfombra viejos, desaliñados, un poco feos pero limpios. Las habitaciones tienen buen tamaño, buen espacio para movilizarse pero si llevas maletas grandes puede ser algo incomodo. El personal es realmente amable, te ayudan y te facilitan tu estadia, siempre estan muy bien dispuestos. El gerente del hotel es un muchacha realmente encantador, que ademas funciona como asesor turistico y vende tours y programas si asi lo desean. Les recomiendo que pasen a hablar con el y les dara diversas opciones. Nosotros finalmente no tomamos ningun tour con ellos pero es una buena opcion. Nuestra habitacion fue mas fea que la que tienen en la galeria de fotos, pero esta bien, las habitaciones cumplen con su funcion una buena cama y un limpio baño. Sin duda alguna lo recomiendo. Tiene una excelente relacion precio-valor.

The only problem was the there were no blinds in the room and it was quite bright at night with streetlamps. And if we opened the window (since there is no AC) it was noisy because of the garbage collection service. It is close to main monuments and it is clean. The bar with cold drinks in the evening was great and the people really friendly.

es un hotel bien ubicado, pero la relacion precio habitacion es desmesurada, creo que o podria ser mas economico o que sus instalaciones mejoraran. Si te gustan los gatos entrando por la ventana en plena madrugada entonces es una buena opcion. Es una cuestion que tiene que solucionar el hotel...

The Cordial House is in an excellent location! I didn't know what to expect, but it was within walking distance to all of the great sights and especially the Grand Bazaar! The staff was more than helpful and they were very friendly. Not only did they recommend an excellent restaurant (just 2 doors down), they also gave me some good tips on the sights and shopping and even taught me to play backgammon in the common room. The room was very large, had TV with english channels, and the bathroom was extremely spacious. I had visited Paris and London prior to Istanbul and the Cordial House was by far the superior hotel of those that I have stayed in. The manager, Tugrul is more than helpful to the guests and makes every person feel welcome and you must say hello to BeeBo when you go. I had a very good visit, will come back again and will recommend this place to all of my friends.

The room was good value: large, comfortable and rather cheerful although quite basic. The location is an excellent basis for exploring the sites but not great for nightlife (which takes place mostly on the other side of the Golden Horn). I would reccomend it.

A hôtel cordial House, vous en avez pour votre argent, se n’est pas le grand chic, mais qu’elle est le plus important dans un hôtel ? Pour moi, qui ai des problèmes de dos, c’est la literie, et là j’ai eu une surprise agréable. Pour les insomniaques, évitez les chambres qui donnent sur la rue, car chaque nuit, il y a le ramassages des poubelles et le nettoyage effectué avec des machines très bruyantes !!!! L’hôtel est propre et les gens se coupent en quatre pour vous venir en aide. Je ne regrette pas mon choix. Jacques Dessenius Antwerpen

Hotel Cordial was located close to Constantine's Column within easy walking distance of the Blue Mosque, Hippodrome, Hagia Sofia and the Grand Bazaar. It is also close to the Cemberlitas stop on the tram. Rooms were clean and well appointed although the carpet in mine was slightly threadbare in places.
