Hotel Central Continental AG is one of the oldest and most beautiful hotels in Interlaken, located in a unique setting on the banks of the Aare river, and a mere hundred metres from the Interlaken-West railway station and the ships on lake Thun.
This extremely elegant property with high standards welcomes guests from all over the world in a comfortable and refined ambience. The hotel features a restaurant as well as an intimate bar.

However wrote the description on the site must not have visited for years. It may have been a nice hotel years ago but it sure is not nice today.

Hotel was very similar to the Web pictures. However, there is a erotic dance bar in the basement of the hotel, and 2 of the 3 nights we stayed there the music was loud enugh to wake us on the 4th floor. Small dog resident in lobby bit my wife as she walked through. Tough sleeping with the loud music.

By far the worse hotel during our time in Switzerland and by no means the cheapest. This is not good value for money. The breakfast is not worth mentioning. We brought our own snacks from the room down to the breakfast room. Do yourself a favour and stay outside of Interlaken in one of the smaller towns. I've never had any bad experiences with hotels I booked on venere but this one is not worth having on your site.
HOW TO REACH THE HOTEL
By car
From the highway, take exit Grindelwald/Wilderswil and follow the indications to Grindelwald and the railway station Interlaken West, which is a 2-minute walk from the hotel.
By train
Interlaken West railway station is only 2 minutes on foot from the hotel.
By airplane
Bern airport is a 30-minute drive from the hotel. By public transport it is about 1 hour away. Take the airport shuttle to Bern central station, change to the train to Interlaken and get off at Interlaken West.
Zurich and Geneva airports are a two and a half hour away, by car or train. Take the train directly from the airports to Interlaken West.

Venere.com does not debit your credit card for your reservations. You will be asked to insert your credit card details which will be sent to the property only as a guarantee of the reservation. The bill will then have to be settled directly at the hotel. In case your chosen hotel needs a deposit, this information will be included in the "Cancellation policy" section and the deposit will have to be settled directly with the pre-selected property. You cannot cancel your reservation if you selected and booked a non refundable or prepaid rate.
CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT
Check-in: the rooms are available at any time after 2 p.m.
Check-out: it is necessary to leave the rooms not later than 11 a.m.
INCLUDED/NOT INCLUDED IN THE PRICE
Use of the garage is not included in the price and costs 8,00 CHF per day.
Dog accomodation is not included and costs 10,00 CHF, without food.
Children aged 0-12 sleeping in their parents' room are offered a 30% discount.
Breakfast is included in the price.
CANCELLATION POLICY
If cancellation is done less than 1 day prior to arrival we
will charge the client for the first night.
