The location is fine if you only plan to stay a day or two then get back on the train. Otherwise, it is a bit loud and sketchy being right by the train station. The room was clean; however, we were not given a non-smoking room. As a result, I did have some problems with asthma while there. Otherwise, this is a good deal and still in good walking distance to many great places in Innsbruck.

Very convenient place and easy to find. New hotel with confortable rooms. Recommand for people who just want a nice place to stay. For people who would like to experience medieval atmosphere hotels in the city center is more recommanded.

Convenient location, not too far from the historic centre, but very quiet. Polite and efficient staff, good value for tourists or business.

There could not have been a better location. It is right at the main station. You don't have to step out of the station at all.Just take the elevator at the right hand corner of the station and you are there at the reception of the hotel.A pleasant and comfortable stay.

Convenient location - on top of train station. You can access many places on foot.

plus: accessible from main station. minus: noisey (at least for room facing street), wireless connection in room expensive but with poor to no connectivity nonetheless, place without style or soul. rating: avoid it if you mustn't stay there

Hotel was safe and clean and comfortable. A little hot , so we needed to open the windows....good view...until the workers showed up...BANG BANG, SAW, Noise..... Located almost on top of the Train station...EASY access!! You can easily walk into town and grocery shop just across the street...how perfect is that? Nice rooms, great beds, nice bathrooms and showers. Great accomidations...would stay here again and highly recommned it. You will love it.

The hotel was very conveniently situated for the train travelling and for the Altstadt. Breakfast good and staff friendly and helpful. In spite of being close to the railway station the hotel was very quiet.

This place is right outside the main railway station , hence very convinent. the staff is very helpful and competent. The breakfast spread is usual hot spread but not included in price , so you could you go the burger king or other cheaper cafes just next to the hotel or in the station. OPn requiest we got a room which faced the alps...ask them for a higher floor facing the mountains... it s really beautiful

Hotel next to the main station, so very convenient for an evening arrival in Innsbruck by train. No noise in the hotel room from the trains at night. Less than 15 minutes walk into the city centre. Breakfast is extra but it's a good quality continental one.

LOcation was excellent, facilities in room poor. Overpriced for quality of accommodation. Very basic, nearness to train station and easy access to central Innsbruck, rather than hotel itself are the selling features

After arriving by train, the signs indicating the location of the hotel were welcome. We could move to the reception area without having to go outside the station.

The hotel is conveniently located about 50 feet from the train station's exit. Innsbruck is very small so you don't have to pay top prices by staying in the heart of the old town. I would definitely return to this hotel because of its location, price, and cleanliness. Please note that this comment comes from a hotel manager who works for one of the largest and most respectable hotel chains in the world.

very unhelpful staff. services by best western hotels are so much better.
USA, Dec 2006
The hotel is located inside the train station, but we never heard a single train. The location was very convenient and made for easy traveling. The staff was welcoming, very friendly and helpful. The rooms were nicely-sized, with a sparkling clean bathroom. We were very comfortable and liked the rooms. Our room faced the Alps, so that was an added treat. The beautiful downtown area is within walking-distance of the hotel, so the location of the hotel was great. I definitely recommend this hotel.

Because of other commitments I did not manage to eat in the hotel at all. When I arrived I was greatly impressed by the welcome I received from the ladies at the reception desk and I cannot speak too highly of their helpfulness during my brief two-day stay. I do not know if any reference is made on the website to there being direct access from the station to the hotel: certainly I did not notice it. This was a very useful facility. I had single occupancy of a double room on the second floor. It was clean and tidy and well equipped. Unfortunately it had obviously been recently occupied by a heavy smoker and the smell of tobacco smoke was a bit noticeable. I did not mention this to the staff as in every other way the room suited me perfectly. Next time I am in Innsbruck I shall definitely stay in this hotel.

The hotel is very well localized close to the main street. The room is very good and the staff is excellent, specially one of the reception (I think her name is Danielle) which is extremelly pacient.

We were very pleased with this hotel. The location was perfect - at the main train station with easy access to many bus lines, and very easy access from the station (directly from the tracks to the hotel elevator). The staff was expert and the room had all we needed, although not a lot of extra floor space. It was quiet; although we looked out over the train tracks we didn't hear the trains. They also had an excellent breakfast buffet.

Ibis Hauptbahnhoff was very good considering the price and quality. Some of the staffs in the reception was a bit reticent, while others were quite warm. Location of the hotel is very good with the railway station being adjacent and the city centre is within comfortable walking distance. Our stay in Innsbruck was excellent.

Even though my venere reservation didn't make it to this hotel, they were able to get us in the rooms we wanted and the rate venere quoted (lucky for venere they weren't sold out!). The facilities were spotlessly clean and comfortable, the staff was friendly and responsive to our needs.

We had a great 2 nite stay at this hotel. Finding the entrance to the building was a bit difficult. It can only be accessed via an inconspicuous elevator. Friendly staff. Free internet access was available in the lobby.Overall this hotel was the best value for money in 10 day European trip.

The rooms seemed brand new, as the public areas. The young staff is friendly and helpful. It's located right at the railway station and 10 minutes walking to the old town. Free internet access was available in the lobby. It was excellent in every sense, including the price paid.

While we found the room a little cramped and missed having a comfortable chair, the bathroom was a North American's delight! Overall your hotel provided the best value for money in our month long European travels. We were very impressed by the imaginative use of space and interior design.

We had an excellent night-stop in the Innsbruck Hotel IBIS. Although situated close to the city center, we arrived in the hotel just 5 minutes after leaving the motorway. The only negative experience is the way how we found the underground parking area of Hotel IBIS. Unfortunately, we got in the public parking area of the main railway station which is very close to the hotel. Having a lot of luggage in our car we prefered the private parking of the Hotel IBIS. After searching and asking for about 25 minutes, we finally found the right entrance of the realy clean and secure hotel underground parking. Arriving at midnight after a 7-hour car trip, guests should not loose precious time by searching the right parking entrance! Installing bigger entrance signs (also for the guests arriving from south via the "Südbahnstraße") or publishing GPS-Data of the parking entrance on your web page might help improve this little negative point!

Tutto sommato molto soddisfatti.
