Good location - 3-5 minutes walk to shopping street and the lake. Rooms are clean and with all basic necessities. Staffs are nice and friendly, especially the restaurant staffs, very helpful and always with a smile. The check-in progress took longer than expected but we were served with a welcome drink while waiting. Definitely great value for money!!!

I have stayed at this Hotel before and always found the service,facilities and staff excellent.It is situated in the middle of a very lively area and should not be used if peace and quiet are your requirements.If like me like a lively and bustling holiday it is perfect.

My Stay at Old Street Hotel is great. Its clean, safe, fun, friendly and most of all I am treated like their family member. I Love this place, its my home in Hanoi.

We were satisfied with our stay at Old Street Hotel. Our twin room was a reasonable size. We booked two trips (Halong Bay and Sapa)through the hotel which we enjoyed. Some of the staff were very welcoming and helpful but others appeared rude. The plug kept getting stuck in the sink in the bathroom and the doors to the hotel were locked before we got in one night. Although the hotel has internet access it was constantly being used by the staff. Overall a reasonable, budget hotel.

The hotel was infested with giant cockroaches and smelled like urine. The woman who ran the front desk was lovely, but the younger guys were unfriendly.

Location is good. Breakfast is all right, although less variety but worth the room price. Service especially the front manager is very good.

The room was clean but was just aveage. The best thing about this hotel is the location and price. If, you do not need all the luxury of a full service hotel and you want easy access to all attractions of Hanoi at a reasonable price then this hotel is a great choice.

Best price hotel you can get in Old Quarter area. Highly recommended for people who want to have cheap yet good accommodation. Room excellent. Staff friendly. A short distance to the lake and market as well as shopping area. The only downside is the breakfast. The same menu everyday. For the price we paid, it wonderful! Definitely stay at Old Street Hotel when we go to Hanoi again!

Great stay. Great People. Great Service. It was a real treat to stay here - My wife and I really enjoyed it. We felt very well looked after. Everything was exactly as described including Airport pickup, The breakfasts were also great. We will definitely recommend to others.

Old Street Hotel is the perfect place if you are looking for clean, cheap, well located accomodations. I would not classify this as a Boutique Hotel, however. The pictures on the website are a bit deceiving but they are in the process of renovating the hotel so maybe all of the rooms will look like the 5 on this website eventually. Our room, while spacious and clean, was a bit more shabby than the pictures lead to believe. I will say that the group of young Vietnamese that run the hotel are welcoming, friendly and eager to make your stay pleasant. They can arrange transfers to and from the airport and any excursions. We were very happy with the two day, one night trip to Halong Bay they arranged for us. We were given the "Deluxe" package versus the "Standard" and did not realize there was a difference. We paid about USD$15 more per person and got shrimp with our meals and A/C in our rooms on the boat for the extra cost. It's worth asking for clarification on the packages if money is an issue. Breakfast is simple: fried eggs and bread with jam and butter, bananas and coffee or tea. Request a room at the back of the hotel to cut out the street noise but Hanoi is a noisy city and it's wise to travel with ear plugs. I would not stay at this hotel again only because I would like to explore a different part of Hanoi if I ever return. This hotel is located in the heart of the Old Quarter and is in the middle of all the hustle and bustle of the city, which quickly became overwhelming.

This must be the worst hotel I have ever stayed in in my whole life. I am a frequent traveller and I was shocked at the attitude and quality of service this "so called" hotel was offerring. It was a bad start to the holiday, luckily we stayed only 1 night and moved to an excellent hotel afterwards (the initial hotel we wanted to stay in) The staff are honestly like MAFIA, even before we checked in our rooms we were hassled about booking our Ha Long Bay trip with them. They sold us a "deluxe" trip and we ended up getting a standard junk boat with a lot of the attractions not included. Dont ever book in this hotel, the staff are rude, pushy and makes your stay unpleasant. Spend a little bit more and stay in Hanoi Paradise Hotel or other more popular hotels, thats my advise!! Location is ok, walking distance to markets and water puppet theatre. Rooms were old and crappy, although cheap they make up the money by ripping you off in your tours. Luckily the bad experience lasted only two nights, the rest of the trip in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh was excellent and the other hotels we stayed in were MAGNIFICENT!

It is a Nice Hotel in great location, only a couple of mins walk to the Hoan Kiem Lake and shopping centre. Very clean and modern and Tommy was a great help. Free internet which is a help for planning onward trips. Would like to recommend this hotel to friends.

You are treated like family the moment you arrive. You will get as much or as little attention as you like. All you have to do is ask and you will get whatever you need, whenever you need it. The service exceeded all of my expectations. The rooms were immaculate and very quiet. Also, the location is ideal as it sits right smack in the middle of Old Quarter Street. Overall, it was the best stay I have ever had. I can guarantee you will not be disappointed.
