We travelled as a group of 3 mature couples and two youngsters. The rooms were ok, clean, quiet, sufficiently spacious and decently furnished. We were not content with the service. The employees' manners were a bit rude, which may have been meant to be witty (at Berlin you would call that "Kodderschnauze"), but seemed inadequate to us. It was hard work to persuade the staff to make a reservation for a table for breakfast (since we were 8 and wanted to have breakfast together) and to provide a candle for my husband's birthday.

This was an excellent small hotel, despite being a bit hard to find. The suburban neighborhood location is, however, quite pleasant, and after parking our car, we took the bus across the street to the U-Bahn and then downtown. Ultra-modern features, free parking, wireless, helpful staff, sumptuous breakfast buffet. I will definitely return!

Negative: 1) There was no a/c in the room we where staying in, that is, we never found a switch... 2) To get to Hamburg city center, you first had to walk 1 km, then take the train for 10 min. In my perspective, that is not "not far from the city center"... 3) There was at distinctive smell in the bathroom, coming from the shower drain (we didn't point it out to the staff, though ...) 4) We hoped for more written information in the room (how to turn off the TV loud speaker in the bathroom...). Positive: 1) Everything looked nice and stylish, and staff were pleasant and present.
HOW TO REACH THE HOTEL
By car
From the highways A7/Hannover, A1/Bremen and A24/Berlin: at the junction Hamburg-Ost drive in direction Jenfeld (A24) and exit at Jenfeld. Turn right in direction Rahlstedt and keep on driving for 2 km straight ahead until Studio Hamburg. Turn right onto Tonndorfer Hauptstraße in direction Rahlstedterstraße. After about 2 km you will reach the hotel, which lies on your right hand side.
From the highway A1/Lübeck: keep on driving on highway A1. Exit at
Stapelfeld. Turn right onto B435 and drive in direction Rahlstedt for about 5 km. You will find the hotel on your left hand side.

METHODS OF PAYMENT
Venere.com does not debit your credit card for your reservations. You will be asked to insert your credit card details which will be sent to the property only as a guarantee of the reservation. The bill will then have to be settled directly at the hotel. In case your chosen hotel needs a deposit, this information will be included in the "Cancellation policy" section and the deposit will have to be settled directly with the pre-selected property. It is not possible to cancel your reservation if you selected and booked a room indicated as "PREPAID/NOT REFUNDABLE".
CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT
Check-in: the rooms are available at anytime after 3 p.m.
Check-out: it is necessary to leave the rooms not later than midday.
INCLUDED/NOT INCLUDED IN THE PRICE
Modem access is not included in the price and costs the same as a local call.
Use of solarium is not included and costs €5,50/15 minutes.
Use of sauna, swimming pool and fitness room is free of charge.
Use of private garage costs €10,00 per day.
Pets and dogs are admitted at an extra charge of €12,50 per day.
Breakfast is included in the price. Starting form January 2009 it will cost €12,00 per person per day.
CANCELLATION POLICY
If Cancellation is done less than 2 days prior to arrival
we will charge the client 80% for the total amount of
reservation.
You may cancel your reservation without penalty up until 2 days before your arrival date, by accessing the Your Reservations page. It is not possible to cancel your reservation if you selected and booked a room indicated as "PREPAID/NOT REFUNDABLE".
