Why its called a hotel is beyond me, as this was a dorm for students or military barracks. I was sickened by the quality of the bathrooms as their was mold/mildew at the worst level. Old furniture (80's) and breakfast although included is barely worth mentioning. Positive side we were able to do laundry at the location is the dungeon area of this facility. Not recommended at all. We took two rooms and my other room was located at the other end of the corridor. No screens, was very hot hence many bugs/insects joined us overnight. Positive comment - lots of free parking.

E' uno studentato adibito ad albergo. Sconsigliato a coppie che vogliono dormire affiancate. Consigliato ad amici che fanno l'Inter-rail.

It should be pointed that reception from midnight up to 6 morning is closed - it is impossible to enter into hotel. We arrived in after midnight and had spent a half of night in a car. Maybe such practice is normal, but we were not forewarned about this during the reservation process.

I hadn't realised that this was student accommodation, let out for the holidays. I don't know what is required to get two stars, but I found it very basic. It was clean, and the staff were helpful, but as a 'hotel' it leaves something to be desired. There are frequent trams to the city centre, but without a decent map it is too far to walk.

Academia is a 2* and NOT a 3* rated hotel (Venere's web page is wrong). The rooms are VERY SMALL (they compare to a ship cabin in size) and VERY DUSTY. Moreover there are NO DOUBLES available, as i was informed when i arrived there, and despite my reservation which was for a double i received a twin (since no doubles exist). The room was more like a corridor since the beds are not like this || but like this -- .

A very warm welcome was received from the staff who made every attempt to communicate in English, they spent alot of time helping to locate places on the maps with us. Summer student accom. so not the most luxurious of rooms, no tv or radio eg, but clean and beds tolerable. I was unclear through the booking that breakfast was paid for, so the airey dining room was a real bonus. Great value for travellers with plenty of private parking.

the matresses were infamous, and the rooms need a TV. If not were by this issues the were had been excelent.

The hotel is good for transit, but I would not recommend it for long stays. It does not offer to much confort.

The map to find the hotel is very bad. Quite one hour to go to the hotel! And the price is too high.
