Although advertised as a minimilist hotel, I think a single chair for 2 guests went too far. Location was ideal, being in the centre near the old town. Breakfast was better than average for europe. My stay was a birthday treat; unfortunately although we had bright sunshine for all 4 days, it was unusually cold.

Location was excellent. Especially close to historic sites, including old Jewish quarter and special Jewish museum. Staff was also excellent, including especially young woman whose name I believe was "Gina."

WE BOOKED 3 DOUBLE ROOMS AND 1 TRIPLE ROOM. ROOMS WERE EXCELLENT, JUST AS PHOTOS, THE ONLY COMPLAINT WOULD BE , THE TRIPLE ROOM ALTHOUGH SPACIOUS, HAD A SOFA BED AS THE EXTRA BED AND EVERYTHING IN THE ROOM WAS LAID OUT FOR TWO PEOPLE. THIS DID NOT SPOIL OUR STAY AS THE HOTEL AND STAFF WERE BRILLIANT. I WILL BE RETURNING TO THIS HOTEL AND WOULD RECCOMEND IT TO ANYONE STAYING IN GERONA. THE LOCATION IS EXCELLENT AND I WOULD SAY IT IS THE BEST HOTEL IN GERONA.

This was the second time we stayed at Ciutat de Girona and it was again a wonderful experience. The staff is very friendly, attentive, and efficient. The only small complaint I would have is the mattresses could be a litle softer. This hotel definetly met our standards.

I was a little surprised that being a single person I was given a double room. I attempted to book a single room via the net so still not sure if this Hotel has them. The user-friendly services were excellent compared to other Hotels in Spain where price was all important and service considered low on the scale. I liked the feel of comfort...fresh robes and slippers which are par for the course in the Far East. Free use of minibar and laptop as was in urgent need to receive/send emails. Excellent location for the old quarter and I would stay at this Hotel again and recommend. I came off the bus from Girona and it was easy to get a taxi across from where the bus dropped me and then to the hotel. Easy ride also out to G. airport.

Terrific location and hotel was really nice, we were well pleased with all aspects of the hotel. Taxi from airport was 24 euros and took about 20 mins. The breakfast was excellent and although we didn't have any other meals in the hotel, the restaurant was always busy and menu looked great. All in all, an excellent stay and we will definitely go back again, sooner the better. People in and around the hotel and Gerona, were very friendly and the whole break was a lovely relaxing time... Muchas Gracias

Info on 'Blanc' needs updating as actually not owned by hotel and has quite rude & aggressive manager. They provide breakfast for guests and altho selection is good, at first, it deteriorates rapidly in availability. Hot food is not replenished or left to become lukewarm. This is our only area of criticsm and as the hotel and staff were excellent we would return but opt for no breakfast at hotel and visit one of the many nearby cafe/bars which are good and reasonable.
Venere arrangements were first class and the hotel had complied with our requests.
Thanks for an excellent service.

Located in the heart of Girona this is a very comfortable modern hotel. The restaurant attcahed is beautiful, although we ate dinner at a nearby reastaurant that was recommended by the hotel. (And didn't cost the world.) Don't miss the breakfast!

A very nice hotel - with extremely welcoming front of house staff. Breakfast was excellent - everything fresh, and the best coffee we've tasted in years. The free drinks in the minibar were a very nice touch. Would have no hesitation in recommending to anyone - ideal for business (excellent online facilities) and for pleasure - 20 seconds walk from the old bridge across the river into the old town designed by Eiffel. A fantastic town - ideal for a couple of days of sightseeing and culture.

We stayed in this hotel for one night and were pleased to find two rooms almost interconnecting as we have children. Standards were high and the location was excellent - two minutes away from the old town. The only negative point was that the laptop/adsl facility advertised was not available - there is only one laptop for the hotel and it was not functioning.

The Ciutat De Girona is a fantastic hotel and I heartily recommend it to anyone intending to visit the area. The rooms are very modern and minimalist in style and the hotel itself is in a very central position, close to restaurants and bars in both the old and new towns. My one concern are the prices quoted here - my booking correspondence stated that both breakfast and VAT (IVA) were included in the total price, but this turned out not to be the case. Even though more expensive that I thought my stay was definitely worth the money!

We arrived late at the hotel, which we had warned when we booked. The restaurant had closed 10 mins before but refused to let us in. The room service finished at 10pm so we ended up walking around girona for almost two hours before we found somewhere to eat.
The staff on reception were extremely unhelpful and were not remotely interested in the fact we had arrived at a hotel late and were very hungry.
The hotel had booked us into a twin room despite us booking a double. What a romantic first night that turned out to be.
Very disappointed. Would not recommend to anyone.

Excellent hotel well placed within the city near the old town. The staff were extremely helpful and the room had all the facilities - a modern hotel recently decorated.
The only negative factor was the noise, which is fairly typical of Spanish Hotels - we were disturbed early one morning with bottles being removed from the restuarant down stairs.
Mentioning the restaurant - it was excellent. Whilst slightly more expensive than nearby restaurants, given the quality of the food it represented extremely good value. If you have chance I would recommend eating there.

This hotel has mutch to offer close to the centre and very new it is extreemely well presented. The room service was expensive and the quality of the food was disappointing however We would certainly pay another visit to the hotel. Staff are friendly and efficient in most cases and do their best to present a welcoming atmosphere.

Hotel Ciutat de Girona is very comfortable with very pleasant staff. Generally quiet but early on Sunday morning (04.00) a number of local people were extremely noisy - nothing the hotel could do.

We had a 3 day stay at the hotel and it was an absolute delight to stay there.
The rooms were beautifully furnished and the staff very friendly and eager to please - top marks for customer service.
The hotel is situated right in the middle of Girona and is ideally placed to explore the city - which I would recommend everyone to visit.
One particular point to mention is the hotel restaurant - Blanc - superb and clearly popular with local people, which is always a great sign.
Overall, the hotel was excellent value for money and the city of Girona was just stunning.

We stayed at your Hotel for just over a week. We arrived late on Saturday 9 August and Left on Monday 18 September.
We had riginally booked on the Internet for only one night.
We liked the Hotel and Girona and decided to stay longer.
The price quoted on the Internet was 96 Euros per night, however when we paid the bill 7% IVA was added, which we were unaware of.
We think you should state that your quoted price excludes local taxes and VAT.
As the weather was very hot we appreciated the excellent air conditioning in the room.
All the reception staff were excellent and very helpful and allowed me to use the hotel computer to get some e-mails for my business, which was very helpful.
The reception staff also spoke English very well and were knowledgeable about Girona.
However on one night the room was not cleaned and soap was not replaced and we had to ask reception for some more soap.
Your idea of a free limited mini bar in the room was appreciated and was better than other Hotels we have stayed in.
We both appreciated the modern style of the Hotel and the central location in Girona.
The breakfast service was excellent except the scrambled eggs were rather overdone on most days as they are kept in a chafing dish.
One morning we missed breakfast as we understood it to be served up to 11.00 in the morning, however this was only for Sunday not the other days.
It would be helpful to have all the information readily available in the room or tell the receptionist to inform guests of the times for breakfast on all days of the week when they arrive.
Other Hotels we checked out in Girona seemed cheaper than your Hotel but some did not have air conditioning or were located away from the town centre.
We would recommend the Hotel to friends.

Hotel Ciutat is a gem of hotel. Has the feel
and look of a boutique hotel in the middle of old Girona.
Location is ideal. Totally cool to stay in an
ultra modern spot right in the heart of a medieval city.
Also, there is a fabulous restaurant attatched to the hotel
(restaurant blanco) where I had one my best meals in Spain.
If you like modern boutique style hotels....this is your place.
