lobby
The Tre Stazioni hotel is named after its central position, in close proximity to the Principe railway station of Genoa, in front of the harbour with ferry terminals, and next to the Principe subway station.
The property is also easy to reach by car, thanks its vicinity to the sopraelevata exit, the road that connects the Genova Ovest toll-booth with the International Trade Fair.
With a short walk, guests will reach the ancient port where the Acquario di Genova is located, Europe's largest aquarium.
The property is a family-run hotel, situated on the second floor of an ancient building. Open all year, it also offers a bar.

very simple but correct hotel, very well placed near the station, the aeroport and the ferries. the only inconvenience is the noise of the street.

chose this hotel because of proximity to station. It was about 10-15 min away. Surroundings are pretty grundgy, but hotel was about as expected

Next to the ferries for Corsica, this hotel is very well located. We had the luck to find a parking place just in front of the hotel. Otherwise we would have had to find one around, which can be complicated. Elevator brought us only up to the 1st level and then we had to climb a stair to the next one.

Not much to say. I guess this is what you'll have to accept in Genova. The hotel states that it has a car park. The woman in the reception had problems with spoken english and gave us a general map of the nearby area. After some searching we found a garage that probably was connected to the hotel somehow. Can't really tell. The garage was great though.

There was - except for the owner- nobody who spoke english. Finding the Parking was a crime. The room was flodded, there was a lot of water on the floor when we wake up and the lady at the desk said we have to wait for the owner. But we had to go for the Ferryboat, so we coudn't wait. After several discussions, we had to pay the full price. A Hotel to Forget!!! Never gone book again.

The hotel is literally a couple of meters from the main set of train tracks--not train station (that is a good 20 min walk) but actual train tracks. if you like the smell of diesel and trains roaring right by your window then this is the place for you. otherwise, dont stay here. good breakfast though.

When we arrived the owner was most apologetic that only one of our rooms was ready. The building is undergoing renovations at the present time so there are all kinds of building materials etc in the hallways. It is not as close to the station as is advertised. We actually ended up having to get a taxi as we couldn't find it on foot. Breakfast was only half ready when we came down for an early check out so we had to pass on it. This didn't really worry us as it looked pretty awful. The rooms are big and clean with great air con and beautiful new bathrooms. The service is not quite so good as we got locked in and had to wake the manager to let us out in the morning. Not a place I'd go back to but since the price was low I can't really complain.

this hotel is really the best choice for this price. clean, friendly, close to the station but not next to it, so you dont hear the trains. the stuff is also friendly and ready to help. we had a four-bed room for 2 nights, and the beds are comfortable, the room is clean and the bathroom is also fine. i would highly recommend it, it worth its price

the hotel is very near to main train station cruise terminal and bus station and main interesting areas of genoa but at night almost all cars motorbikes and buses of genoa pass through the hotel that is why it is very noisy

It was pefectly satisfactory except for the poor quality of the breakfast (coffee excepted).

For the price the hotel was fine. The room was quite large in comparison to other hotels in which we stayed in Italy and the bathroom was recently renovated and very spacious. Breakfast was served in a separate dining room on the ground floor and was a little better than the standard coffee and rolls (cereal and juices were also available). The staff spoke no english but were very helpful with our basic Italian and assisted with leaving our bags there on the day we checked out. The only problem was that when we checked in the room we were allocated had not been made up. The manager was very apologetic and quickly moved us to another room - which was at the back of the hotel and probably quieter than the room we had originally been given. It seemed to be a genuine mistake and he was prolific in his apologies. The location was OK (a couple of hundred metres north of the Stazione Principe) though it seemeed to be at the beginning of the seedier area of town (near the Mission to Seafarers) but this was not a real concern. Overall we would stay here again for the price.

Modest, but very good hotel, very clean. Good place for a short stay. Just one disadvantage - the local area not very pleasant...but is in very short distance from the station.

E' un ottimo albergo per chi è di passaggio a Bologna e non vuole spendere troppo. A due passi dalla stazione se si è in treno. E poi, a 500 m, c'è una squisita trattoria!

We stayed in Genoa for 2 nights and didn't want to spend a lot of money. The hotel was good value for money. Not the best area of Genoa, but close to train station and waterfront. Friendly staff.

Being rated as just one star, it is very clean, everything was functional and comfortable. The bathroom was very clean and new, the furniture was OK, and the people were kind. the only problem of the place is the noise outside, since it is on a very noisy street. In summary, a very good quality/price relationship.

The hotel was very basic, I struggled to find where it was after i lost my map, but when i got there the staff were very friendly. The location means constant traffic noise. This is common in Genoa however. The rooms were pleasant and clean. It is very close to the principe station which is good, Finally when i tried to check out their credit card facilities had stopped working forcing me to pay with cash, which was a big problem for me.

What a great deal! These rooms were so clean you could eat off the floor/walls! Very spacious and exceptionally clean. A bit if a walk in the wong direction from the station, but it's on a bus line or maybe 10-15 mins walk from the main station. I'd definitely go back.

This was comfortably the cheapest room in Genoa. It was very clean and the room provided a spacious double - excellent value for the price. It was also located very close to the Stazione Principe which was very convenient. Some communication problems with the Italian woman as she spoke no English. An excellent budget choice.

The building was not like a hotel from outside. But the room was clean and much better what we expected in that price. Airconditioning gave special comfort in being there because of hot weather. We were missing for some breakfast possibility.

A clean comfortable room, but too noisy to relax. I thought I had seen a picture of the main entrance on the web site but on arrival it was nothing like the photo and I felt mislead. There were no public rooms or breakfast which was not clear on the web site. At time of booking we explained we needed to check in early and check out late. The room was not ready when we arrived and we had to pay an additional nights stay for the late check out. Given all of my comments I feel we are due a rebate for the additional night. If I spoke Italian I would have been able to make myself clear to reception.

Hard to find. Difficult to communicate (only Italian spoken staff). Had troubles to leave early (7:oo AM) – Nobody there where I could pay for the room and get back the passport. Room is ok. Near to Ferry.

We had a nice weekend in Tre Stazioni. It is in a very small street, so not too easy to find it, and find a parking place. The rooms were as we expected so generally I suggest it to groups of friends. Hard communication to staff because of speaking only Italian.

The name tre stazione acts as a warning to light sleepers, true to it's name the hotel is slap bang in the middle of three stations - excellent travel facilities i can assure you but everso noisy, unless you, like me, can get used to it! On top of this while we were staying in the hotel, the room next door to mine was having its bathroom re-fitted. I think they've re-furbished all the bathrooms recently because they're all very nice. Unfortunately I was woken up at 7a.m on our first morning by the sound of builders chipping off tiles. But thankfully as soon as the manager saw me that morning he offered me a different room and was really sorry I'd been put in a noisy one! However, I was a bit disturbed as i lay in bed one night because a gentleman from the room opposite me actually opened MY door with HIS key! Although, in reterospect, i think this may have been because he was friends with the manager and he had been given the master key but had been told the wrong room, my italian is dreadful so i couldn't quite work it out! Other than that one incident which was dealt with very kindly, jovially, and with much apologising the hotel was very nice. It suited our needs perfectly as it was very affordable and within a few minutes walk of the porto antico, which is a fascinating and beautiful place. However i suggest unless you want or have to, that you don't take the route to the port which runs parallel to the harbour as you are likely to, especially at night, run into people who generally want to sell services and products that you can't exactly buy in the shops!

It was a very nice stay. The conversation was a bit difficult without the knowledge of Italian (The only spoken language in the hotel) It was a good start to the cruseships.

The hotel is at the first floor of a building with other apartments. The entrance and the stairs are not so beautiful.. (it's an old building) but the rooms are clean, bathrooms are quite new and people is kind and available.

Good budget accomodation, not too keen on the location as I was on my own, but still handy for seeing Genoa. Unfortunately some rooms were being renovated so corridors were very dusty. Staff didn't speak English which was my problem.Earplugs required.

Tre Stazioni was a difficult hotel to find at first, although once I worked it out the location was extremely convneient for the main train station in Genoa! The price quoted on the website of forty Euros for a "single" booking was actually incorrect - that price referred to two people staying in a room. However, despite this anomaly, the staff there were kind enough to charge me only half that when I arrived. The fact that none of the staff spoke any English and I could speak only phrase book Italian at best made communication virtually impossible! There were a few shared laughs between myself and the staff at this bizarre situation, nevertheless. I would recommend Tre Stazioni as a no-frills but comfortable place to stay whenever you happen to stop by Genoa.
