Pretty awful breakfast and considering the number of guests, you would expect them to have more than one person working at the reception. The service wasn't very good and they make you pay for everything. Not a very nice location either on a very busy junction.

everything was as expected. perfect place if you want to travel by train. ( which is the best way for travelling in this region ). from the hotel to harbour easy walk of 30 minutes, passing the shopping and action area which starts direct in front of the hotel. we are very satisfied.

Beware the advertised Wifi. It costs 22 euros per day, and the signal was so weak in my room that I got disconnected every few minutes. I had to work in the lobby of the hotel instead (where the signal is excellent). In addition, they have a restriction of 400 MBytes transfer per day.
Staff was either unhelpful or helpful but not competent.

I was expecting something more from this hotel according to the price and the photos. The only things that I really liked about it were that there was a restaurant open for 3 meals and the cleaning people were very friendly and accomodating.

The hotel is smart, modern and well-situated.It is close to the railway station and easy to find.Access to the airport by car was surprisingly simple. The modern city centre is close-by, and the harbour and old quarter are also within walking distance. There is secure, free underground parking.
Breakfast was good and the best of the 5 similarly-priced hotels we stayed at in Italy.
Our room was on the top floor with great views over the city skyline. It was very quiet thanks to the modern windows and shutters.
All-in-all very good value, and I would happily stay here in future.

Nice hotel at reasonable price for this category, however breakfast is quite poor and does not correspond to this hotel category.
Also note that power wall sockets are very specific ( never seen that type before) and you cannot connect your computer or any electrical appliance outside of the bathroom.

The Hotel President in Genua is in a good position with respect to downtown, and in a optimal location for our purposes, i.e. near to the railway station and to the Fiera di Genova. The room was clean and silent, perhaps because situated on 11th floor, even if the hotel is on a noisy full of traffic avenue. The breakfast is well organized and start early (6.30). Finally, the price for a w.e. stay is cheap enough for the good quality of the hotel (attention, much more cheaper than the Monday-Friday price!).

With regard to your web site, I have one request to you. In the case of staying with family, I'd like to input and specify the number of child(2-12 age). There is no input area for the number of child in order to distinguish the number of adult. For example, we need not 2 rooms for 2adults & 2 children.

Good hotel well placed for Bus Station & Brignole Train Station, both 150m away. Don't bother with a Taxi from Genova Airport (25 euro), the bus is just as quick at 3 euro. Good 4* hotel at a very reasonable rate.

The Starhotel president is in an excellent location in Genoa. Convenient to buses and trains. It is also a short walk to via XX Settembre. The room was small, but very clean. The staff were all so helpful. The majority of them spoke English well. They were able to direct us to the correct transportation and attractions in town. They even kept our bags three days past our original departure from the hotel at no extra charge. We were very impressed with the helpfulness of the hotel staff, the lack of noise in our nonsmoking room, the price and the location. Highly recommended.

This is a high quality hotel, but without much charm. It is quite well located, less than 5 minutes from one of the main stations, and with 10-15 minutes walk to the city centre. It is clean and well functioning but also with the kind of international standard, that makes it quite anonymous. I recommend it, though.
