The hotel was located very close to the main train station (Genova Principe) and not far from major sites. The staff was friendly and the breakfast good. Our only major complaint was that our room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. However, we knew other guests staying at the same hotel at the same time and their rooms did not have the same smell. If you are a non-smoker, we would recommend asking about a non-smoking room.

Typical city property. Location was excellent for main train station and to downtown Genoa. Difficult to locate -- had to ask locals for directions -- need signage at street level.

All staffs very kind. Hotel is nice location then if you stay on sea side of higher floor room that you may be get nice view.

This hotel is very close to the Principe train station in Genoa. The staff is very helpful and pleasant. The room was very large and was very clean. One night a group of 12 year olds made a lot of noise at 11:30 pm. I went down to the desk and the manager came up to fix the problem. The breakfast was very good.

Hotel is very convenient to the train station. Staff was very helpful. I had to be up very early to catch a bus, and they opened the breakfast room early to ensure that I got breakfast before leaving.

Very close to railway station (good for getting out of Genoa!). About 10 min walk from the old city and 5 mins to the old port (Aquarium etc). Good english spoken. Clean and comfortable. Quiet, in spite of being close to Via Balbi. Good breakfast buffet. Lots of Italians amongst the guests as well as visitors. Recommend Camogli and Nervi for day trips and La Banchina in the old port for family-friendly grub.

Convenient location very close to main station. spacious and calm rooms. The only disappointment was the breakfast.

Hotel Vittoria was good for the price, rooms were clean, if a bit worn and old fashioned, walls seemed to be a bit thin. Location was excellent, very short walk from the train station and an easy walk to sights of interest such as the marina/port area. The hotel is not immediately apparent from the main street, you have to use a lift from the street to get to reception.

On your website, the hotel seems to be in the middle of nowhere. Unfortunately, whenyou are looking for it, you can find it, hidden by another hotel.

Non so se era il direttore o meno ma il signore con l'accento veneto che accoglie i clienti è di una gentilezza e cortesia ormai rare e preziose. Unico neo dell'albergo....solo quotidiani di destra....è meglio essere imparziali...

The big problem is to park the car. Not easy and very expensive. No parking reserved for the Hostel, it's surprising because nothing is told to you about.

If you look for a clean and fair price/quality ratio you can not do any mistake. Genova is a lovely city and for business traveler as me it was good to enjoy the quietness of the Hotel.

Very European. The location was perfect within walking distance to the bus, seaport, and train station. The rooms are clean but showing some wear and tear. There seems to be little insulation between the rooms to block the sound of other guests.

The location of this property was excellent, as we arrived by train and only had to walk a block with our baggage. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful, but our biggest surprise was the size of the room,it was huge!! We had been travelling for over 2 weeks by the time we reached Genova, and most of our accommodation had been clean but small...what a wonderful surprise the Vittoria offered us. Would definitly recommend.

Very friendly and welcoming in a convenient location for the station, the centre of the city, the old town and the quays. Interesting building, nice rooms - a hotel to return to.

Convenient location close to the Principe railway station. Very welcoming. Clean and quiet. Construction work is going on around the hotel (June -04) which makes it extra hard to find. Ask even before trying to find it yourselves! It is closer to the station than indicated on the map but still within a pleasant walk from the city center.

We are a family of four and stayed in a comfortable quadruple room for one night. The service is very good and the breakfast is ample. If you are driving, make a reservation to park the car nearby with the desk. We had to park ours at a distance -- a shame in the rain!

Genova is not the place to be for families. Certainly not the area in the neighbourhood of the harbour. We could not find a proper restaurant nor a terrace in the sun for a cup of coffee after a long ride. The street of the hotel was changed in a kindergarten (sand) and therefor we could not get in nearby the hotel with the car. And about the car..., there was only the (recommended) option to put the car in the garage around the corner. costs.... 20 euro!

I can't say enough about the friendliness of the employees. They were WONDERFUL!!! The price was great and the continental breakfast was delicious!!! They went above and beyond to accomidate us. THey allowed us to leave our bags in a back hallway while we toured Genova after we checked out and with 12 people that was a lot of luggage! I would deffinetly stay there and reccommend it to friends!!

My stay at the Vittoria Hotel was good. If your arriving by train into Genova, as I was, it's possible to walk between the two with your luggage easily. I had called the hotel before arriving to get more detailed directions for walking. The manager mentioned that I should look for the large pharmacy on the left and they are just beside it. I found the pharmacy, it was easy to spot, however I was also keeping my eye out for a beautiful turn of the century style Victorian salmon colored building. The photo on your site was taken (per the family owner) in 1924, so that is not the building I found. There is an elevator to take you to the reception area around the corner from the pharmacy. Check in was easy. The manager led me to a different elevator which was outside the reception area, up a few stairs and then into another building. He put me and my luggage on the small elevator, told me that my room, #148 was on the 4th floor, closed the doors of the elevator and as a last thought mentioned to press the button hard because it sticks sometimes... My room was small, but clean and straight forward. The view out of my window was the backside and of two other buildings whos windows also faced mine. I didn't open the curtains. The bathroom, restored and redecorated as the description stated, was done some years ago and in the old italian/waterfront style. Small shower with tile everywhere, no shower curtain, and just functional and clean, not comfortable and very old plumbing. Breakfast in the morning was nice, but not fancy, and the coffee was good! A couple of things about the location. It is very convienent for the train station and easy to walk to the center historical area. (Genova overall is an easy town to just walk in, when you have a good map.) However, I was not impressed with the night time activities. It was not necessarily a safe/comfortable area, you needed to be on your guard in the evenings and stay on the main roads. And also, the selecti

We had a large room with a balcony overlooking the port. Hotel well placed for sightseeing. Breakfast buffet not the best - but adequate. Staff friendly and price was very reasonable. Hotel is set back and above the Via Balbi - so is a lot quieter than you might expect.

The welcome was great and we were given what was probably the best room in the hotel. The hotel very kindly allowed us to change our reservation without penalty which we greatly appreciated.I felt the photo was very misleading and the description didn't exactly match up with reality either. It was very difficult to find the hotel and I think people would appreciate some directions. The area of town was not great though access to the old port was easy on foot.

Generally we satisfied with the services of the Hotel, especially the hospitality of the staff of the Hotel and the view from the room. Only thing which botherd us was that the bath tub did not have a shower curtain.
