Reception staff stayed up until 2am to check us in which was nice. The room that we had was good however my brother and his wife were put in a double room that was small to say the least. We had to move after one day as we had someone who could snore for Poland next door and a woman upstairs who insisted on walking around in stiletto heels between 3 and 4 in the morning. The second room we had however was excellent. Staff were friendly and breakfasts were adequate. Gdansk is a pretty town but this hotel is not in the pretty part!!!

I made the dreadful mistake of leaving our passports in the hotel before setting out to catch our flight. Alicia, the receptionist was superb. She contacted the airport information desk and the home contacts listed on our passports. But for this we would have had great difficulty getting home (since the flight only goes twice a week to our city. As it happened one of our parents died two days later. But for Alicia's professionalism we might not have had a chance to see them before they passed away. Before booking I noticed some adverse comment about the area. It is an interesting as well as extremely convenient location. And there is a good Polish restuarant nearby.

The hotel was lovely and warm on a cold winters day and the buffet breakfast was excellent. The hotel caters for most types of clientele but mainly mature couples.
