The location was more than a short walk from town, but we had a rental car. The hotel is clean, tastefully decorated, and upscale. The breakfast buffet (included in price) had so much variety, and the quality of the food was excellent!

Very nice hotel. Old style European elagance but very friendly and convenient. Good value for the price. Lots of small "freebies" like free beer and drinks in the room refrigerator. Excellent breakfast provided. Only drawback is (like most European hotels) the small elevator if you are on the upper floors. But a minor issue. If I am in Garmisch again, I'll stay there.

The property is excellent and the suroundings superb. The staff were not as friendly or service oriented as I would expect. Overall though the stay was very pleasant.

Old style hotel, better have a car (1.5 km far from the city center), nice surroundings. Standard rooms correct, minibar present but not working, tv with 4 pay tv channel, but mainly German and Austrian channel (Only Cnn and a french tv available in a non-german language). Nice indoor swimming pool, small but agreable (10 mt X 5 mt approx and only 1.20 mt deep).
