If you would like to stay in a very comfortable hotel in Tenerife, where the owner has had the good sense to renovate the hotel in traditional Canarian style but with all modern amenities, this place is for you. Aesthetically very pleasing. The hotel is a blissfully quiet Canarian 'quinta' that looks out onto the main square in Garachico. The large interior courtyard is an oasis of calm.Definitely a hotel for those seeking respite from hectic professional life elsewhere. Strongly recommended for the stressed out or older traveller as Garachico does not offer anything in the way of nightlife, though it is undoubtedly one of the most charming, unspoiled towns on the island.

When we arrived at La Quinta Roja, we were told that "something with the bathroom was out of order" and that we had to move to Rural El Patio. That was an ennoying information, as we wanted to stay two nights in the center of wonderful Garachico. We think the hotel simply was overbooked. Nevertheless we would spend 3-4 nights at La Quinta Roja again, as it is an accommodation with a lot of atmosphere. Also it is located at the very nice Plaza de la Libertad and we enjoyed the breakfast on the terrace very much. For dinner we recommend "El Lagar de Julio" which is located at the smaller plaza near the church. Food and wine there were excellent.

La Quinta Roja is really one of the better hotels I have stayed at and worth more than it's rating! It is a beautifully restored historical building and a hidden gem. The only drawback is the lack of good restaurants in Garachico but the hotel itself is gorgeous with veru friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommended.

Very nice hotel with very friendly and helpful personnel. Rooms facing street are a little noisy. Excellent breakfast overlooking the little market. Only negative remark would be that maids don't refill soap, even if empty.
