The Tobacco factory is the only example in Salento of the recovery of industrial architecture
Refurbished from a former Tobacco Factory in the 1920’s and conserving all the charm characteristics of the age, like the star shaped vaulted ceiling.The Tobacco factory’s activity lasted until 1989 until a major crisis in this industry forced its owner to close for ever.

The reconstruction, begun in 2002, concentrating on the restructuring the original buildings as well as in the using materials and furnishings of a wider Mediterranean theme, thanks to the work of one of the masters of the design field , Francesco Spada.

The hotel is found in the higher region of Gagliano 1 km from the coast and 2 km from Santa Maria di Leuca, the extreme point of Salento, in Apulia.

The rooms, having single to quadruple occupancy are found on the top floor overlooking the front area or towards the courtyard at the back. Lodgings are found on the ground floor.
All the rooms are equipped with their own private bathrooms ,central heating, air conditioning, minibar, TV, telephone, Internet access and a safe.
Two rooms are equipped for disabled guests and is interconnecting to an adjacent room. The lodgings (approximately 45 mq each) from two to five beds, are situated on the ground floor with independent entrance and retaining the Star shaped vaulted ceiling.

HOW TO REACH THE HOTEL

By car
From the Lecce ring road , follow onto the S.S. 274 C Lecce-Gallipoli-Santa Maria di Leuca.

On arriving in Leuca follow the road onwards to S.S. 275 Leuca-Maglie, following the indications for Gagliano del capo.





By airplane
The nearest airport to the hotel is Brindisi a distance of approx 110 km (about 1hour and 15 minutes).
