The staff were simply superb! It was booked as a stopover as we were flying from Ciampino Airport in the morning after our overnight stop. The Italian Air Traffic Controllers went on strike and it left us stranded so we returned to the hotel and they gave us help and accommodation until we got a flight. Helpful in advising us of local restaurants.

The hotel is a very good option. The only thing is that you have to rent a car because is about 30 minutes from Rome downtown and I didn't see any bus or train station near by the hotel.
The rooms are very clean and have enough space.
The breakfast is really good to be italian and people from the reception was very kind, specially one man that even tried to speak in spanish :)
Having into account the prices in Rome, I will definately come back to this hotel. I recommend it!

Except for the phonebooth size shower stall, the entire facility was excellent and very very clean. There were extra pillows and blankets - comfortable beds, hot water and fresh WARMED towels for the bath. American coffee A plus, nice continental breakfast layout too. Neighborhood location, off the Grande Recordo Anulare or GRA which is the loop around Rome - easy access to airports and central Rome. Location is also off Via Appia which takes you straight to the Vatican City through Rome proper, about 15 minute drive. Ok to rent a car - I did and had no problems navigating the system - I would recommend a car rental over the bus system, which I heard can be off schedule in this area. One block from the University of Dallas Rome campus and just a hop skip from the Pope's summer palace. Beautiful area to drive.

I would suggest improved directions. The staff was most helpful and accommodating. It was a pleasant hotel for overnight and would stay again. The parking was secured at night giving an extra measure of comfort not having to drag all of our luggage into the hotel.
Hotel was very clean and quiet - an excellent night's sleep before we returned home - and excellent value.

Es perfecto para tomar un avión a Ciampino si llevas coche porque queda a 10m escasos. La señalización de la carretera no es buena y nos perdimos de camino.
Por lo demás, fenomenal, la chica de recepción un cielo, además hablaba español además de inglés.

A one night stay prior to flying from Rome Ciampino airport.
Only excellent part of the stay is the locality to the airport.
Hotel seemed overpriced for what you got, and looked a bit run down.

Some employees understood good English, some only when you spoke really slow. Other emlpoyees were impossible to understand when the spoke English.
The location was far off from everything that a tourist would want to see and you had to spend a lot of money on Taxis.
There is no internet.
It didnt feel all too welcoming if you are not Italian.

Next time I hope there will be cheese included in the breakfast table, that the shuttle to the airport will be running and that there will be little less noice in the corridors during the night - these things being taken care of, Dei Consoli is a very nice and priceworthy accomodation.

Typical poor continental breakfast with only juice, croissants and jam. There were toast slices but no toast machine to find. No bread rolls, salami, ham and/or cheese. Ten minutes walk to a couple of pizzerias and a nice fish restaurant. In overall a good stay when cathing an early flight from Ciampino airport.

Great hotel for someone needing to take a plane early at ciampiano. Very modern it is only 10mn from the airport, spacious suite and big bathrooms. it is just difficult to find if you didn't print the map from venere! the restaurant had only a small menu to offer that night. I would go again

Nice & clean hotel. Very dull situated. Nothing much around. We were there in mid/late july. Hotel driver on vacation. Restaurant only open for breakfast. We had to take a 20 minute walk to get dinner. Could of course have been nice, but in other surroundings, not these. Only 25€ with taxi to Ciampino airport. Overall a dull hotel, not even computer with internet access.

We truly missed a description of how to find the Hotel. The map provided at the web is not good enough and thats all You got. We had to phone the hotel to get help to find it.
The restaurant in the basement is boring. We went for another place.
Otherwise the hotel was perfect for a family of four who slept well in a quiet, big, nice and clean room

The rooms were of a high standard and the breakfast good but i was disappointed that the restaurant was not open for dinner and there were no restaurants which were open, within walking distance. I found the hotel difficult to locate as one entrance was on a duel carrigeway.

Very conviently located between Via Appia and Via Nettunense approx. 25 Km outside Rome near Castelgandolfo. Very friendly staff at reception, first room offered smelled a bit after cold cigarettes ( we are non-smokers) but was changed immediately and with apologies to a non-smoking room. Rooms are very clean and everything looks very well taken care of (not always the rule in Italy), extremely clean bathroom, parquet floor a bit creaky and opening in a few spots, but that is not the hotel's fault. Problem: in the aisles also only parquet floo, no carpets => noisy, when people wlka along the aisles or move luggage around early in the morning. Generally noise inside the rooms is a problem in Italy, walls seem to made just of thick paper (not THAT bad here, but still not good). Breakfast was a bit simple but still ok for Italy. As in other hotels very bad orange juice (tasted kind of chemical), i just cannot understand, why hotels use industry stuff in a country where oranges grow along the roadside. Overall ok, staff again very friendly.
On the first night, the lady at the reception advised us to visit Ariccia (ca. 8Km) if we wanted to take a walk before dinnner. Best hint EVER !! In Arriccia, you find several trattorias called "fraschetta" which sell regional food and a specialty called "porchetta" which is basically slices of a whole roasted pork filled with herbs and stuff...folks this is a MUST!! Extremley simple ambiente, but excellent food and friendly staff/guests, this is Italy countryside real live and in colour. Count in approx. 25 EUR for 2 dinners incl 1l of homemade (but good and clean) cooled Sangiovese...and enjoy!

Very Nice modern hotel, rooms are spacious, well maintained and very clean. We also got an upgrade to a corner room with a nice view for no extra charge. There is also a jaccuzzi on the rooftop which was very nice!! The hotel is just a 10min drive at most to the airport Ciampino. The hotel is on the outskirts of Rome with easy driving access to the other towns of the region.
