Nice hotel a block from the train station. Rooms are normal size with very nice furnishings.
Front desk staff was great. Dining room staff at breakfast was pretty bad.
This is a convenient, helpful, safe and clean facility, just explore your culinary options elsewhere.

this hôtel is a very good adress in FIRENZE.
his location near the touristic and historic center of town ( 5 min)is marvellous for the street is quiet. The problem of all the hôtels in Firenze, is parking. For this hôtel price for a night is 25 € + 5€ each time you must use a groom paid for go and back between hôtel and parking. When you know it, it's better to park your car outside center (along the circular road)at 15 min footing.(gratuit during the night)

My husband and I stayed here on a stopover from north to south italy. Located within walking distance to the Uffizi gallery and Academia. Does not have parking and had to pay 30 Eus extra to have the car parked elsewhere. I did not expect that. Car noises were heard all night, it is right on a main street. It is just like in the pictures. Do not expect a personal hotel experience, it is a large, luxury chain like a Hilton.

great location approx one and a half blocks away from train station. Felt safe in this neighborhood while wheeling luggage to the hotel. Would recommend facility to friends and would stay there again. The bathroom was large and the closest space was generous.

Sorry I do not want my name displayed - but I would like to record that the hotel and the staff were excellent and that it was because I read the online comments which were so positive about this hotel that I chose it. It exceeded our expectations. We would go there again. It was wonderful.

It was lovely--we were very pleased. The breakfast was great. Also the breakfast room was very pleasing. We lost our luggage. One of the gals at the desk went way out of her way to call the airport and help us out. Albani Firenze was great!

Excellently located on a quiet street, an easy walk from the train/bus terminus. Lavishly decorated interior, perhaps a little too many mirrors, but very bright and clean. My room was large and very well lit. The lovely big bathroom had a heated towel rail and a full sized bath tub, although I could have done without the mirror on the ceiling. Excellent breakfast buffet, including a delicious concoction that tasted like a marriage of creme caramel and apple pie, served in a comfortable dining room decorated like a Chinese bordello. Helpful and friendly staff were the icing on the cake.

This was a great hotel. It was within walking distance of the train station which was very helpful. The room was a nice size and it was very nice. The staff went out of their way to be helpful. What a great place to stay in Florence.

Everything was wonderful EXCEPT the lack of comfort of the beds!! We have never slept on harder beds in all of our travels. We had two rooms on the third floor on the street and the noise was atrocious!...all night long. The service from the staff was wonderful and always very helpful.

Beautiful place. Very nice personnel. Nice restaurant with kind people attending and delicious food served. Very close to the main touristic areas and to the Santa María Novella train station. The best price / quality ratio in our travel to Italy. I definetly recommend it.

Great location, especially if arriving in Florence by train, and in easy walking distant of all major places of interest.
Friendly, competant staff and comfortable, well equipped bedrooms. Public areas rather quiet and lacking in atmosphere.
Extremely pleased to get such high quality accomodation reasonably priced in central Florence.

I only stayed one night at the Albani Firenze. I liked it and I'd stay there again should I have the opportunity to visit Florence again. The front desk was very helpful, the room was quiet, and it's clean except the staff should not have overlooked a tiny detail in the toilet bowl (I don't know how else to put it!).

Elisbeta and the 2 Chiaras were great helps at the desk. Filipo and Francesco in the restaurant made our breakfasts and two dinners wonderful. We were very pleased with our stay at Hotel Albani Firenze. We have only one issue: Because it was already October, the air-conditioning was turned off; however, it was unseasonably warm and the room got uncomfortably warm unless the windows were left open. They should have recognized that the airconditioning was one of the reasons we and, we are sure, others selected this hotel. They should have turned it back on until the temperature moderated. On balance, we enthusiasticly recommend this hotel. We would stay here again.

This hotel was very luxurious, in the most traditional and stately way possible. We've never had such good value for money. The staff were attentive: the decor was beautiful, in a very fin-de-siecle way; the veiw was negligible, but the location was very convenient; the breakfast was excellent. We were very near some excellent shooping streets, and it was a very short walk to the Duomo. A real find.

This is one of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed in, and I travel a lot. It's expensive, but the room we had was spacious--even had a couch and foyer! An all-marble bath--with a separate tub and shower--was great. The staff was helpful and welcoming, and the location can't be beat--just a block from the train station. They also have a very nice evening turn-down service where they come in (if you're away) and prepare the room for nighttime--closing shutters, drawing curtains, etc.

The hotel is ideally sitiated if your transfer is to/from the SMN train/coach station.
Although the road that the hotel is on is far from attractive the hotel and its immediate environs are very good for such a central location.
The service was very good all round.

This hotel is a fabulous find in Florence. Excellent value for money. Its a 3 star hotel with 4 star facilities and service. We travelled with our 2 year old daughter and found it to be just right. All the perks of a swanky hotel without the exhorbitant price tag.
The hotel is walking distance from train station, but tucked away on a side street in a gated property - so you'd never know it was so close to the station. The rooms are simply elegant and comfortable, with high quality linens and toiletries. We had one of 4 rooms in the hotel that have spacious private terraces (ours overlooked the Duomo) - request them if you can. The hotel has a small landscaped garden and a peaceful common terrace for drinks or dining.
Services included a very substancial breakfast buffet, internet access and full room service.
The hotel is extremely central - walking distance from anything you might want to see in Florence.
We are delighted to have discovered Hotel Albani Firenze and will stay here again when we return to Florence.

Most of the employees spoke English and were very helpful. The room was beautiful and huge by european standards. Very easy to find and close to the train station. Breakfast had eggs and bacon along with fruit, yogurt, all the normal european breakfast items. Albani Firenze also has a beautiful little courtyard to sit and relax and talk or read a book for a quiet little rest from all the sites. I will stay again.

We had only planned on one night at the Hotel Albani Firenze but ended up adding on another night because it was such a nice place. If you are arriving at the main train station (SMN) the Albani is one street over, which is great if you are carrying any luggage.
Our room was ready for an early check in, and the staff at the front desk were very welcoming and helpful. A person that went above and beyond for us was Laura (hopefully spelled correctly), when we asked about the Uffizi and the Acadamia reservation policies she picked up the phone and dialed. In a matter of minutes she had made our reservations for us gave us a map of the city and some hints on other things to see in Florence. Our room was pretty amazing, it was by far the largest one that we had for our trip. The in-room service was wonderful, a turn down service in the afternoon along with setting out complimentary slippers by the side of the bed was a nice touch.
If you are going to the Uffizi and the Acadamia, I highly reccomend making a reservation. There is an additional 3 Euro charge but the time that you save not standing in line at the Uffizi is worth it. The Uffizi line alone was at least an hour wait at 9am.
The walk down to the Uffizi and Ponte Vecchio was about 20 minutes, but the Duomo was much closer maybe 5 to 10 minutes at the most. There is an open air market near San Lorenzo which is a great place to find some good shopping, all of the merchants speak English and be ready to make deals.
As far as restaurants go, the hotel has one downstairs from the lobby, it looked very nice although we didn't eat there during our stay. We found a true gem about a five minute walk away(three blocks), near the Medici Chapel. The name is Trattoria Antellesi at #9(red) Via Faenza. It was a pleasure to dine there, the menu had such variety, and the wine list had some very well thought out choices from the region.
We will try to stay here again when we return to Florence.

A very luxiourous stay without having to pay an extortionate amount of money, which you would have to in Florence (not to say the room was cheap, though). I would have liked to see a change in the breakfast buffet offer each morning. Ideal for getting there from the station and everywhere you need to get to is easily walkable. I would recommend the hotel without hesitation.

The Albani is a modern and beautiful hotel. The accomodations and price are excellent and it is in an ideal location. The staff is adequate, beds were very comfortable, the room clean, and the shower hot. Our only complaint was not being able to control the thermostat (it was very warm in the room). We would be very glad to stay here again.

My only small gripe would be that we were woken early in the morning by other guests slamming doors and dragging chairs (upstairs), but I guess the hotel can't be held responsible for the ignorance of other people.

We were glad when we got to the hotel that it was not a bad choice. We would stay there again if we ever went to Florence again. It more than met our expectations. The problem in Europe is getting a decent hotel below the 5* level. Thank you.

Excellent location. Hotel is tucked inside a gated property with beautiful courtyard. Safe and quiet at night. Rooms are well appointed, spacious, clean with a mega size bathroom in any international standard. Polite and professional employees. The best of the best. Will recommend to everyone.....I wish all hotels in Italy can have Hotel Abani's standard. Well worth $157.50 euro/night.

Nice Hotel just outside centre - but handy.
What they don't say in blurb, hotel spread over 2 separate buildings with breakfast in other one.
Massive conference facilities but it's downstairs for breakfast? There currently no bar?
Don't be put off though, good rooms and ideal location. Book for the uzzifi before you go!
Air conditioned rooms great for northern europeans.
Enjoy!
