Unfortunately I happen to be in Florence during a very hot and humid period which probably affected my experience at Hotel Regina. With that said, I did NOT enjoy my time at Hotel Regina. NO clean towels, NO air conditioning, NO fans, and NO cable television. During the night you had to choose between leaving the windows open and dealing with street noise and mosquitoes or closing the windows and sweating it out. Overall it was NOT a pleasant experience. If you need a place to stay try the Hotel Montreal. It was cheaper, the rooms had excellent air conditioning and you're just a few blocks from the train station.

Great location! It was close to everything, and a good value for what we paid. However, it was a little hot with no fan in July.

There was any problem with the heating, the room was COLD during night; but once the staff knew of the problem they fixed it.Staff speaks english and are warm, friendly and helpful. Hotel was very helpful with aranging parking for my car - but if you are able, do not bring your car to Firenze!

LOCATION is my argue to rate the overall 9. Both the near location outside the door (20 step from mercato centrale) and the city location 5 min from trainstation and 3 min from duomo. The rooms was dirty and poor (bed was clean). The staff friendly, special the chief was very competent and helpfull. Because of LOCATION i will stay here again.

Our double room with two twin beds was clean, quiet, and cheap. It worked quite well for an overnight in Florence, but for more nights I probably would have wanted more space and a private bathroom. A fine deal at the price, though.

DO NOT STAY HERE. Hotel is atrocious, staff are the rudest ever. I have never met such ignorant and inept people working in a hotel. It is basically a hostel - it does not deserve the one star rating it has.

This hotel is for someone living on a tight budget. The room wasn't too bad, but the bathroom situation was horrible. The sink, toilet, and shower were all crammed into a tiny room. When you took a shower, you got everything else in the bathroom soaked. It was not a good layout. Also, the two men we dealt with at the desk were not very personable or helpful. Also, if you are arriving at night, this is not the hotel for you. We had to walk down streets littered with trash, drunks, and urine. The breakfast offered was decent and the hotel is within a 5 minute walk to the Duomo.

This was the first time that I stayed at Hotel Regina. I stayed at other hotels booked though Venere and they were all of a much higher quality that this one. The room was definitely only one star, which is what the website said, but far too expensive for the quality of the room. The other two, and even some three stars I stayed in during my stay in Italy were far better quality for the same price. The location is good but I wouldn't stay there again.

Massima educazione e cortesia. Posizione eccellente. Bagno pulito ma piccolo e vecchiotto. Price vs.quality is good, the staff was very well-mannered and kind. Location is great!! Bathroom is very little and quite old, but it was very clean. We will return!!

Hotel nice, simple, clean and well-located. Order a double room, received a twin room (just first night). Before check-out, staff was friendly. After check-out, staff was rude. And more: we had to pay part in cash (it was not possible the entire bill with credit card).

The hotel was adequate and quite close to the train station. It was a bit difficult to find due to market stalls blocking the street entrance. Easy access to the city centre and transport. Breakfast was average.

The owner was very pleasant. We were given the large family room, because we were traveling with children. The room was spacious and much appreciated. The only downside was that the room was located over a restaurant. Therefore, it was noisy at night and we weren't able to close the windows because it was too warm. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay.

The service is terrible, we have booked ensuite double room, there was water leakage in the bathroom on the first night and made the room flooded. We asked the staff for assistance, and he blamed us for "playing water", and refused to clean the floor, so we had to clean the floor ourselves. We told the day-time staff to change room, and she blame us again for telling lies in order to change room, she said "You want to change because you dont like the rooms, we cant change for you, you cannot expect too much in these 1/2 stars hotel" The staff in this hotel offer poorest service I have ever seen, the service quality doesnt even deserve for a 1 star hotel. I will never return to this hotel again.

Actually we had booked a room at the Regina hotel but when we arrives the gentleman who welcomed us informed that we would be in a room in the Hotel "La Noce" (2 stars), that is one floor below "Regina" and is owned by the same team, as we understood, and the reception is the same for both. The gentleman at the reception was polite and gentle and he can speak Spanish. The room was small but very well tidy and clean. The bathroom is very small but it was enough for us. The breakfast was simple but tasty just enough. The hotel is near from everywhere , 15 minutes from the train station and from vechio bridge. A good option to stay in Florence. My husband and I recommended to every one.

The room was tiny, and basically looked like an old dormitory. So dark and cold feeling. The shower was basically in the same room as the toilet, or shall I say on top of the toilet. Didnt feel clean in the bathrooms at all. For the price I would either upgrade or look for a different hotel.

We stayed in a triple room with the window facing the plaza. Wonderful for night life but not quiet. Nice views from the window and close to things. Staff was helpful and spoke good English. The bed sagged badly and was quite uncomfortable. We moved the mattress to the floor and it was OK. The breakfast was meager - OK. I think the price was a little high for the service, but then all lodging in Italy seems high.

We enjoyed the quietness of our room. Though without airconditioning, the ceiling fan was adequate. The only difficulty was the lack of good drainage for the shower...it backed up into the room. The hotel was conventiently located for all we were interested in in Florence.

When we checked into hotel regina we had reservations for a room for 60 euros for 4 nights, without a bathroom. The man behind the desk asked us if it would be okay if he put us in a 70 euro room for 2 nights, with a bathroom, and we agreed because we thought it might be nice to have the bathroom. But the room that he put us in for the first two nights was not good at all, our window opened up into an closed area in the middle of the complex that was about a meter square, and all the pipes in the building ran through it, so we could here whenever anyone flushed the toilet or went to the bathroom. Plus the breakfast area was right behind our heads, so we were woken up early everymorning as they set up for breakfast. The bathroom was nice enough to have, but the shower was just in the middle of the bathroom, with a curtain you pulled around yourself and a drain in the ground. When we moved to the 60 euro room it was much nicer, with a sink in the room and a washroom down the hall. It was much bigger as well, and opened up into a big courtyard. As for location, it was actually great. The piazza outside the hotel has a bunch of excellent restaurants all with patios to eat out in, and there was a great gelato place to stop after dinner. It is right near a major market area, and just a couple minutes walking from the Duomo, and walking distance from pretty much all of the major things you might like to see in Florence. I just recommend getting the less expensive room!

The location of this hotel is excellent;just in the center of Florence, 10 min.walking distance from Santa Maria Novella railway station and very close to all important historic and artistic monuments of this beautiful city.( I have to limit my positive opinion in order to avoid too many competitors when I book there a room in the future..., but I am more than satisfied)
