Photo's and written description were not the same as the room provided. I had stayed at a 4* in Venice the previous 3 nights with the same hotel chain and was disappointed in the comforts provided in this hotel in comparison. The staff were excellent and friendly.

The double superior room I got was spacious beautiful decorated with an excellent bed.
Avoid the rooms over the via Nazionale which is very busy at any time of the day.
Housekeeping is excellent too.
This being said I recommend not to rely on the staff to get some service.
In particular the room service is a real joke : Forget about the nice idea of having your breakfast in the room if you don't want to miss the breakfast serving period.
Despite this , I believe it is excellent value for money for Florence.

I love Firenze and like to visit it regularly. The ATLANTIC PALACE is the only hotel I went twice and I have tried a lot of hotels in Firenze. The ATLANTIC PLACE is "the hotel" in Firenze for me and I can recommend it to everyone.

This place was as wonderful in person as it looked on website. Great location, short walk from main train station and right in the center of everything.Great places to eat all on same block, great shopping and sites. Only two small problems, shower never seem to get hot water so we had to take cold showers, and our room was in the front so the traffic and people drinking noise seem to go on all night (Friday Night). Request a room off street and everything will be wonderful. It was a great place to stay for our 20th anniv. and we would stay there again every visit to Florence. Oh they also will hold your luggage for you if you are catching a much later train pass check out.

We stayed here 4 years ago by mistake(our hotel was overbooked and they moved us here) and we were pleased to come back here with our family. It is in easy walking distance to the train station and quite close to the market area as well as the attractions in Florence. The rooms were spacious and attractive; the one interior room was especially quiet and our children were not bothered by noise on the street side. Our plans changed quickly as we visited relatives in the area and the management was able to accomodate us later in the week at the same rate when we called in. They were friendly, courteous and spoke excellent English. We would be happy to stay here again on another trip.

Front desk clerks were extremely accommodating. When I checked in, I was given a very large double room, almost a suite with a separate sitting area, instead of a small single room, as I was staying for 5 nights. Beautiful room. The area is not so great, on a very busy noisy street by the station, but windows have shutters on the outside and also on the inside, so most can be shut out. A good place to stay if you want a nice room around the corner from the station. My only complaint - I always like to stay in Italy because the breakfast coffee is so good. Coffee at this hotel is BAD, and often just warm, not hot. Otherwise there is a large buffet and everything else is quite good.

The staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful - The rooms were spacious, immaculate and beautifully decorated. We were welcomed with champagne on arrival! (it was our honeymoon) We extended our stay at the hotel Florence and the reception staff took care of cancelling our hotel in Milan. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone !!

This is a very well placed hotel for sightseeing around Florence with friendly and helpful staff. The price is good value, but you will need to factor in an additional daily rate for parking. I would certainly stay here again.

I was very disappointed in the service. Employees did not talk or offer any assistance. Maybe they did not speak english?
The room was was represenitive of a 2or3 star
Hotel. It was nothing like the photo. We payed way to much for the room. I thought we were paying for location but the location was terrible. Borderline neighborhood. The one good thing was breakfast and bottle of wine in the room was a nice touch.I would not recommend
this one.

The staff was especially courteous, welcoming and capable.
The desk manager was quick to provide for special needs and contingencies.
He was pleased to offer a change in my accomodations when my originally assigned
room did not have a safe for my documents. The new room (#369) was on the upper floor, a split-level room with an ancient
stone stairway to the bedroom which had a spectacular view of the nearby Duomo. It was quite a treat! Furthermore, the housekeeping staff were efficient and professional and often greeted me with a smile and "Buon giorno."
All of the staff I encountered were uniformely helpful and pleasant. As a native English speaker, they were attentive to my needs and made an extra effort to speak my language and help with any translations I needed. They were proud of their workplace and environs and were eager for me to see the high points of Florence by giving sound and detailed tips on where to visit, dine and shop. They made my visit quite pleasant and I would return there the next time I visit.
I was very satisfied with the whole experience. Grazie mille!

Unfortunately, my experience with this hotel was not one of the best. Although the hotel is not bad and it is has a good ubication, the personnel are pretty rude and not too helpful. The surroundung area is not too pretty, but is in a good location to get around.

It is difficult to make a recommendation if you have no other hotels to compare, but I certainly want to recommend this hotel. The reception staff is very friendly and helpful. The Superior room however is only slightly bigger than the normal double so no use to ask for this. bathroom is rather small.

Because a bathroom was separated from a bedroom in stairs, I had a hard time though a luggage was heavy, and it was not put up and cleared it up.
I have you make a reservation for a museum beforehand, and I have an email from the front to visit, and thank you very much for doing it very kindly. All the restaurants which had you refer you are extremely delicious and thank this.
