| Framed by soft hills, elegant and bright, Florence is a city unique in the world for the refinement of its urban design and for the magnificence of its monuments.
Florence bears witness to the harmonic grace of the most important Masters of the Renaissance: neighbourhoods, market squares and artisan workshops, all live together with its artistic patrimony, thus depicting the portrait of a sparkling and lively city. Located in the city centre, a few steps from the Duomo, the Santa Maria Novella railway station, the Medici Chapels and San Lorenzo market, the hotel is only a 10 minute walk to Ponte Vecchio, the Uffizi Gallery and the Accademy of Fine Arts. |

The hotel offers luxurious single and double rooms: classic and deluxe.
The functional, well-appointed rooms feature beds, armoires and chairs reminiscent of the era when the Arrighetti and the Gaddi families called the palace home. Furnished with elegance, guests are cradled in their soft, warm colours and amazed by their incredible frescoed walls.
The rooms offer modern amenities and ensure privacy, comfort and exceptional services. Every room is soundproofed and equipped with private bathroom, hairdryer, individually controlled air-conditioning and heating, satellite & Pay TV, radio, direct dial telephone, Internet connection, electronic safety deposit box, mini bar and desk.
Some rooms have a private terrace offering a lovely panoramic view over the very heart of Florence. Non-smoking rooms are available upon request. Some of the double rooms feature twin beds.

Nice hotel, close to all sights. Bit difficult to reach. Please note that you pay 30+ euro per night for the parking. Bathroom flooded when showering. There was definitively a big minus. We made a telephone call from the room, a couple of minutes abroad and we where charged 40 euros! That is fraudulous.

I had planned to stay three nights in this hotel.
During my first night I noticed insects in my bed (room 502). I told the reception about it in the morning, asking them to do something about it.
The second night, the insects were still there. I got bitten all over the arms, back and legs (the number of bites cannot be counted: hundreds).
I left very early in the morning, refusing to stay for the third night that was booked, and accepting to pay for the first night only.
Having documented myself, I realise the insects were actually bedbugs. A week and a half after my stay, the stings are still swollen and burning.
Not quite a first class experience.

An unfortunate experiance, I booked online from reviews and photos shown. The staff are respectfull and profesional with good presintation. But the room we recived was small, old stained walls, squeeky bed, small closet and the furniture is all scratched up. It was depressing to be in the room I had to change hotels. I was booked for 4 nights but did not stay even one.
I paid the first night that morning and left to book 4 nights at the Bristol. It was double the money but worth it. The staff were very nice to me but the structure needs renovation.

This hotel has beutyfull public areas and very competent reception staffs. The location is close to the station and very convenient. The room we had had a warm touch but can be renovated. The restaurant serves a very good modern italian cuisine.

Beautiful hotel, expecially for its fantastic public areas: the paintings of the breakfast room can be seen as the perfect introduction to the wonders of florence (even if it is nto worthwile to pay 15 Euros every day for the breakfast). The position of the hotel is perfect for a visit of the city.

The location of the Hotel was great. The staff was very helpful and friendly.
The only point I have to complain about are the air conditioners of the rooms. We booked two rooms trough Venere, the two rooms were great with nice views of the city, but, unfortunately the air conditioner of one of the rooms was not working, and with a temperature of 40C, it was impossible to stay in the room. We asked to change and tehe staff were very helpful, but the only other room available with a working air conditioner was a tiny room without windows. The other room we moved to in the next day was just OK, and I have booked two superior room.

Whilst the hotel was generally fine, we felt it was a bit of a liberty describing it as 4star luxury! Apart from a bar and an expensive restaurant there were no facilities. The standard double room we had was small - bed, bedside tables, wardrobe, table with TV and only one chair. The wardrobe didn't even have the length to hang a dress. On arrival they had messed up the venere reservation and were not expecting us. Not our idea of top end 4star.

We have stayed in Florence on a number of occasions whilst attending trade shows and generally the rooms and public areas in the hotels are very small, even when they are 4 star. The Boscola Astoria has very spacious public areas, an excellent restaurant and an extremely pleasant roof bar in the evenings. We found the staff to be extremely helpful and any request we made was dealt with efficiently and in a very friendly manner.
The only down side was that our room was on the side of the hotel where there was a lot of traffic noise.
We would certainly use this Hotel again.

Rooms were clean and confortable. Hotel was in excellent location. Most staff were informative and friendly. Room was a little noisy due to facing side street and the fact that we left window open for fresh air as air con not switched on. Overall a good stay

We arrived at this hotel and were greeted by a staff in frayed uniforms with no carriages for our luggage. We were then escorted to our room, our luggage being dragged by a seedy looking employee. Our room was so small we could barely fit ourselves and our luggage into it. Additionally, the room smelled from urine and the bathroom was dirty, there were no towels, although there was a bar of used soap with hair on it. We asked that our room be changed, this was done. However, the second room, though bigger, also smelled horrific. The entire hotel, staff included, needs a big facelift and for the price that we paid I was appalled.
