Hotel Cavaliere - Florence

The room in Hotel Cavaliere was clean and comfortable as well as the bathroom. The distance from railway station by walking is quite long but the bus connections are easy, fast and cheap to use. The hotel staff helps you very kindly in this matter. We had a good stay in Hotel Cavaliere and we liked it. Good relationship between price and quality. We were so busy in the morning that we didn't have time to take the breakfast but the breakfast room seemed to be nice, perhaps the breakfast too.

L'hotel è carino, pulito e ben collegato al centro della città e alla stazione ferroviaria. Il personale di servizio si è dimostrato cordiale e disponibile. Valida struttura ed esperienza piacevole... La ripeterei!!

Nice folks, clean room, a bit of a walk to the center of Florence (about 1.5 km) and the room was small, but it was very pleasant and a good value overall.

El hotel pese a indicar en la página de Venere que disponía un garaje cercano con descuentos para clientes, nos encontramos que era el parking en la p... calle pagando la OTA de 8 de la mañana a 8 de la tarde, sin darnos ninguna explicación mas el "desagradable" señor que estaba en la recepción. El desayuno (si este puede ser el nombre que se puede dar a eso que te dan) es ridículo y servido en un minúsculo habitáculo. Un día nos encontramos una lata que no habiamos consumido (eso sí, llena) del mini bar tirada junto a la cama. No sabemos si por error o qué, la factura final era de 10 € mas que la reserva, aunque no hubo mayor problema al reclamarlo. Aun y con todo la estancia estuvo bien. La habitación era amplia y tranquila y el baño correcto. Nos desplazamos al centro de Florencia en autobús que pasaba junto al hotel.

The Hotel was very nice. Rooms were ok for a short stay and there was a laptop in the room with cheap internet access which was good. For a 3 star Italian hotel in Florence, it was a pleasant stay. Breakfast was basic but nice. The location meant that it was a 20 minute walk to the centre but with good weather you don't mind.

the hotel is very small, including the elevator in which one one person with one luggage enter, is very far from the places of interest. and the breakfast is very poor.althoug the personnel at front desk is very very kind.

i loved the hotel although it was quite far from the downtown esp if you are walking all time. My biggest gripe is that they charged my last night over 100% higher than the previous nights for some unjustified reason. I am really upset about it. Now I won't go back.

Very nice, cosy, clean and respectievly cheap hotel with friendly staff. Not in the very centre of Florence, but easy reachable.

I have been in Florence for holiday. Florence is ideal central situated in Tuscany and you can also visit the beautiful surroundings of the city, like the Chianti landscape, the direction of Siena and the North of Tuscany with the town's Pistoia and Lucca. The Cavaliere hotel is situated near the centre of Florence, which you can reach by feet (25 minutes walking) or by public bus (5 minutes, lines 31/32). The Cavaliere hotel is a very small, friendly hotel with a personal touch. In the morning you can take a small and nice breakfast by very small buffet (continental), for diner you will find some interesting and cheap trattoria's in Oltrarno. Suggestion in the centre: Ristorante I Ghibellini at Piazza Maggiore. A nice Italian Terrace outside, good quality, not too expensive. When you want to visit the city of Florence, but you would like to stay outside the touristic, busy and noisy centre, Cavaliere is a perfect hotel!

We booked two rooms at the Hotel Cavaliere, a double and a triple. At first we thought they gave us the wrong room, as the triple was a double with a chair that folded down into a cot. The plaster on the walls was cracking and the rooms were very cramped. Upon check in, the staff at the desk acted as if they were inconvenienced by us. There wasn't any parking. The walk to the attractions was closer to 30 minutes than the advertised 15 minutes. We awoke to have no hot water the next morning, to which we were told there was nothing they could do about it and were left to take cold showers.

Muy mala la atencion por parte del personal(Dueño) de 4 noches, 2 no hubo agua, una por corte de la zona, y la otra no habia agua caliente por problema del hotel, sin resolver Se tuvo que pedir varias veces pongan los insumos del bañio

No nos esperaban, no tenían como confirmar mi reserva. Si yo no hubiera llevado un print, no hubiera podido quedarme. Entonces me dieron otra habitación, tenían problemas varios : rota la caldera, pobre desayuno. Pero rescato la cordialidad de Oddetta, quien como un verdadero cisne, pudo suavizar las cosas.

Facilmente raggiungibile dalla Stazione Centrale attraverso almeno tre linee d'autobus anche se l'albergo non è proprio in centro. Comunque le principali attrazioni di Firenze sono raggiungibili a piedi attraverso una piacevole passeggiata lungo il lungarno. Le camere sono piccoline ma comode e pulite. Buona la corrispondenza qualità/prezzo.

Unwelcoming face in the front desk person upon arrival. He gave us a handicapped-customer-room without us requesting it, and without warning us about it. The light on the ceilling had broken bulb. They said they could not fix it when we mentioned it, so we were in semi-darkness all the time we stayed.

We were very happy with our stay at this hotel. The hotel was well represented on the web site, our expectations matched what we experienced. The owners were helpful with recomendation sfor diner, getting taxi's (it was about a 20 minute walk to the heart of Florence, that was the only down side), etc. There was a local restuarant across the street that was very good, not as "touristy" as some of the places closer in. We really enjoyed our stay
