We arrived at the Rome airport on a Sunday afternoon. We booked the hotel because they advertised a shuttle to and from the airport. When we called them, they informed us that their driver does not work on Sunday afternoons and it was up to us to find a way to get to the hotel. We could not find a taxi willing to take us to the hotel - the taxis are only interested in fares going into Rome. No bus seems to run near the hotel either. Eventually we found an "unofficial taxi" willing to take us, but at probably double the usual rate. The hotel did provide a shuttle to the airport the next morning.

The hotel is close to Fiumicino airport. The hotel van picked us from the airport, they run frequently until 8pm. For a night it is very convenient. The sourrandings in Fiumicino port are quiet and nice to walk and we found deliciuos sea food. It was nice for our last day in Rome, with a different view.

it was a very brief stay. the hotel room is quiet, clean. the staff is very friendly and welcoming and very helpful. the price is fair, but i felt that it was just a bit isolated, nothing much around the hotel. But overall, i would sure go back there for my next visit to rome!

I used the hotel on a business trip.
Rooms are clean, even if the entrance of my room was attached to other 2 doors. The doors are not "noise-proof", so I could hear any conversation on the phone of my neighbor.
Definetely the best part of the hotel is the restaurant, where I tasted the best fish courses in Rome. It's worth to spend a night in the hotel, just to try the restaurant!

Fair price to quality relationship. Reception staff is cold but generally competent. Common areas are well appointed and maintained. Rooms are clean and spacious and include all you would expect in this type of establishment: well-stocked mini-bar, SAT TV with sports, news and multi-lingual programming, balcony etc. Airport shuttle service is somewhat limited but generally adequate. Resturant is a low point -- expensive and mediocre. Breakfast is also below average. Property is generally superior to competitors in the area.

There was no open bar as advertised. No place to get a cup of coffee or tea when we arrived. The restaurant at the hotel was the best meal we had in Italy! We stayed there to be close to the airport. But it would have been more convenient to have stayed in Rome and have taken the airport Express train.

The staff was very pleasant and professional and we got the feeling right away that we could trust them to do what they promised. We called from the airport for shuttle pickup and they were there in 15 minutes, just as they promised on the telephone.
The triple room accommodations were not as good for the single woman in our trio as for the couple. She had a private room but it had 2 single sofa beds with thin lumpy mattresses. The room was up a flight of steep, narrow stairs. A positive aspect of the room was that it had a furnished balcony and you could see the ocean in the distance.

The transportation works just fine. I found that I needed to call the hotel upon arrival and get specific instructions as to where and when to get picked up at the airport. The person who answered spoke very good English, which worked for me. The staff at the hotel was friendly, the room, although small, was clean and quiet. I loved the neighborhood and found a place that had some of the best pizza I have ever eaten in town. Award winning pizza, with prize cups, ribbons and metals on display. I have told friends about my satisfaction and will use Venere again. If you use this hotel, ask about the pizza place across the bridge. I forgot the name, but it's mostly eat outside because only a small counter inside with 3 stools to eat. Exceptional!!!!

The photos do not do the hotel justice. It is quite charming with some great eateries nearby. The shuttle from the airport will pick you up outside the terminal, not in the airport meeting spot where you figure you should wait. Also, there is someone at airport arrivals to call the hotel for you to request the shuttle. The room and the rate I was quoted was changed to a lower rate and a larger room upon my arrival as availability had changed since my reservation was made. I would definately stay here again.

What an unexpected gem! We truly expected some cheapo place but it was not only a nice, quality hotel with friendly staff but had one of the better restaurants we ate at (all alone so lots of service!). Will definitely consider staying there in the future.

I was told that there would be round-trip van service from/to the airport. When I checked in, I was told that my flight left too early in the morning and that I would have to take a cab.
The hotel was extremely noisy in that it was in the flight due to incoming/outgoing flights. It's location is not in a particularly desirable area. I would not stay there again.

Our stay was just for one night, bedroom and bathroom clean and very welcoming after very long trip. Breakfast room was quite tatty, they need to clean it up a bit. Our arrival at the hotel was a bit difficult, as we arrived at midnight, and was brought to the hotel by taxi from airport. One must be aware that the taxi drivers are VERY RELUCTANT (to say the least) to take passengers to Fiumicino, as the fare compared to Rome centre is minimal, so we had a taxi driver muttering under his breath all the way to the Hotel. I explained that there is no way a foreigner would know this, so best he just gets us there and stop complaining !

Accommodations for heavy sleepers. The hotel is close to the airport, which is good AND bad. Good for the convenient location near the airport, bad because it is in the flight path of many planes. Thin walls inside the hotel don't help. The hotel is in the middle of a regular neighborhood where there isn't much around. It's an easy walk to Conad grocery store. Had a large room with a modern bathroom, both were very clean. A free shuttle bus runs to/from the airport and hotel. Missed the shuttle to the hotel and had to take a 20 euro taxi ride. Schedule the shuttle to the airport the night before you check out. Not a good place for light sleepers.

Good hotel for a one day stay, close to the Fiumicino Airport. Staff was friendly on arrival, for departure well... the guy wasn't in the right mood it seems.
Hotel room was okay, but I wouldn't stay for more than 1 day at this hotel.
Free parking is a plus.
The restaurant inside the hotel tries to play in the "Upper class" range but fails to do so COMPLETELY ! Waiters were constantly going in and out of the room, looking at your table, picking your plate as soon as you'd finish it. And they were pushy and not very happy since we took only a single course meal. So what ??
Anyhow the food was good but service needs to be re-thought completely !!

Swallowed hard as we pulled in to this property; never could figure out the neighborhood. Nevertheless, room was nice, quiet. (Overall, price pretty steep for location & quality...) Walking distance to marina or riverside dining choices, most of which offered local fish - a welcome change from three weeks of Tuscan delights. Well organized, prompt and courteous airport transfer service/driver (included in room rate.)

From the pick-up to the drop-off at the airport this hotel was great. Unfortunately, I was there the night the restaurant was closed so I can't comment on the food. However, the helpful staff directed me to the area where neighborhood dining could be found. The neighborhood was not very inviting, but the hotel easily made up for the surroundings. The room was huge by european standards and extremely quiet. The staff was excellent in their greeting and customer service oriention. I've tried several hotels near the Rome airport and this one stands above the rest for quality at a reasonable cost. Assuming the mangement and staff remain the same I recommend it to anyone needing to stay near the airport

It is a very nice hotel, new, comfortable and cozy and the attention provided is good. The problem is that the shuttle finishes in the early afternoon, so it should clearly indicate so in the announcement. Also, taxi drivers are not famiiar with the location. The breakfast is not very complete.

The hotel website states that there is
a shuttle from and to Rome-Fiumicino.
My plane arrived at 9:00PM and when I called they responded that the service stops at 8:00Pm
and to take a cab.The 10 minutes ride cost me
an additional 19 euros or 28 dollars.
When you are tired you d'ont appreciate this
type of answer.
Their restaurant even if expensive is excellent.

(1)Hotel needs to update the directions to the property on their web site. The current internet directions are not complete and terminate short of the hotel property!
(2)The hotel/airport shuttle does not operate on Sunday's. This fact should be noted in their literature.

Stayed one night before leaving on a 6:45 am flight. Odd location but close to the aiport and price included a 5 am shuttle to the airport. At 199 euros it was not cheap but we did get a room which had a loft bedroom which was great for our family of four. Staff were great and we had a surprisingly wonderful dinner in the hotel restaurant. Get detailed directions as it is a little out of the way.

we were looking for accomodation for our last night in Rome between flights. Selected this property, one of the reasons being that we could go for an evening stroll select a resturant at our leisure. We were relying on the stated bus shuttle transfer- that never came.We experienced unhelpful assistant at the airport and rip off taxis- most wanted 40 euros to travel the short distance. Eventually the hotel reservations desk offered us a bus transfer for 20 euros- too good to be true- turned out to be a con. A hour and a half later, several drive passes by the hotel and a demand for greater that 20 euros distroyed the begining of what should have been a relaxing and pleasant last stay of our holidays.
Meal we had a hotel resturant was high quality but the most expensive we had paid for in Italy. The hotel room, breakfast and staff were of good quality. The hotel could benefit by ensuring that they offer a shuttle service both ways for their guests, irrespective of time- as no other hotel does so ( without a big costs) and the taxis are a nightmare. I'm confident that this would be very attractive to future clients and ensure a high occupancy rate

The hotel room was wonderful. The room was big enough to be comfortable and the bathroom was nice. The shower was a bit small, but that is no different from a lot of showers I have found in Europe. There was quite a bit of late night music coming from what sounded like a bar or club in the vicinity, but not too much to make sleeping difficult. The night I stayed here, the hotel restaurant was closed, but the nice lady at the front desk (who spoke wonderful English) was nice enough to make a reservation for me at a local seafood restaurant that had very good food.
The shuttle driver had trouble finding me when I arrived at the airport, which took a half an hour standing at the curb waiting.
Breakfast was lackluster, but typical of Europe. It would have been better if the cheese wasn't Kraft singles (which are not like Kraft singles in America).
Another issue was that the wireless internet wasn't working, but the room had a wired internet access point next to the bed which suited its purpose.

The was huge by Italy standards. My boys room was updstairs (room hed 2 levels) with a nice balcony. Too bad this hotel was not in the heart of Rome. It is a great place to stay to relax you last night before leaving Italy the next day.

The room we stayed had good view of the city. Contential breakfast is disapponited compares to other hotels in Italy which I have been to a few.
The hotel offers wonderful seafood dish which can be made to your desire if it is not in the menu but can be quite pricy.

The attendant at the front desk was very helpful, called a taxi to arrive at 5:00 a.m., and was very helpful regarding the area - stores, pharmacy, ecc.
I can recommend this hotel for someone who needs to stay near the Fiumicino.

Our stay at the Hotel Roma was excellent. We had just finished 2 1/2 weeks touring Italy and Greece and booked this room near the airport prior to returning to the U.S. the next day. The hotel shuttle picked us up on time and gave us a courtesy ride back to the airport so we could travel by train back to Rome for the day, and then picked us up again upon return to FCO. We got a taxi for 12Euro, with the help of the hotel, the next morning for our 7:00 flight. Great stay, and would do it again!

We just wanted a hotel close to Fiumicino airport to make an early next-day flight. This was a pleasant surprise - a failry new hotel in a residential neighborhood. The signage to find it and directions on the website are not clear. It actually is signed as the Roma Hotel. However, the room was great - a glistening 2-story suite for our family, and an easy walk from Fiumicino marina which has several restaurants for dinner.

I had booked this hotel just for one night before early flight and also becouse they declared the shuttle connecting with airoport. It was quit good respecting quality vs.price. But one important thing NAVETTA from/to airoport. It did not work on the days of my staying there (26-27th of December), and it was not noticed in advance. I had known it just upone my arriving to the airport (railway station) 26th evening when I had called to the hotel for asking this navetta.
