This hotel was a pleasant surprise. Although the surroundings are somewhat industrial, the hotel itself is clean, modern and well run. We had a "family room" which provided a bedroom with queen bed and 2 singles for the kids. We even had a small kitchenette. The breakfast buffet was very good (scrambled eggs!). The only (small) complaint was that the coffees, etc. came from a self serve machine. There's a good pizzeria/restaurant around the corner and the waterfront is about a mile down the road.

This is an excellent place to overnight before connecting flights at Fiumicino. Having stayed there twice for this purpose, we're planning to stay longer in our next trip, and use it as a base to visit south-of-Rome sights such as Ostia.

Very helpful staff; suggested that we visit Ostia Antiqa and gave us driving directions; very worthwhile.
Outstanding but reasonably priced restaurant on premises (shared by 2 or 3 hotels).
Hotel's airport shuttle is reasonable. Cabs are very expensive. Driving in the area is very tricky - use a GPS!
Large, quiet rooms; really meant for extended stays.
Immediate area is small business and heavy traffic; not a walking area.

We have told many people about Euro House since our return to the US. If you are traveling to Rome and then on to another part of Italy, stay at Euro House. The staff told us about a great local seafood restaurant in the area. We dined there and it was delicious and very affordable. We really think anyone would want to stay in such a nice, friendly, helpful place....and the beds are GREAT!!!

My wife and I have stayed at Euro House many times prior to our departure from Leonardo da Vinci airport. We like the convenience to the airport, as well as to the seafood restaurants in Fiumicino. We also appreciate the friendliness of the staff and the ability to park our car inside a locked fence.

We were looking for a place to stay near the airport our last 2 nights in Italy, so our expectations were low. The hotel turned out to be very nice, clean, well kept, with friendly and helpful staff. Close access to the airport for our 6am flight, yet surprisingly quiet. Not the greatest location to explore Rome, but it is very close to Ostia Antica and we found it a great place to finish our trip.

Hotel room was spacious, lighting was stark, employees tried to be helpful and spoke English but couldn't get credit card machine to work and didn't give us our 5:30am wake-up call. Shuttle to airport is 15 euro per room. Cab was slightly more. Fiumicino is a pleasant 10 minute walk away. All-in-all a decent hotel.

Difficult to find, but this one bedroom apartment was perfect for us as we had an early morning flight the next day. We arrived in late afternoon and enjoyed a quiet evening at the local recommended restaurant just a short walk from our apartment. The staff was extremely accomodating and helpful by printing our boarding passes and arranging transportation to the airport. A perfect ending to a lovely time in Italy.

This is a hotel property near the airport. The staff were very competent and helpful. We had a very early flight out in the morning and they booked our taxi for us. The room we stayed in was an apartment with a full service kitchen. Everything was exactly as we expected from the Venere web site. This would be a great arrival or departure point for those flying into Rome and renting a vehicle, as there is plenty of parking at the property. The taxi to the airport was fast and inexpensive, with luggage 10 euro.

I guess for Rome, and considering the currency issues now, the price was OK. We had a warm welcome but had some major flaws. For some reason we could not get hot water. We were travelling with our two daughters (6 and 7 years old), and had come all the way from Florence by train. We were all looking forward to a nice hot shower. The children were standing there in the shower, all wet (bc the water would be warm for 30 seconds and then cold again),cold and crying. It was almost 23:00 and we still had not showered, hoping the water would warm up. We all ended up having cold showers. Another issue was the mosquitoes in the room, who attacked my older daughter's ankles and feet the moment we came into the room. As she is highly allergic, she ended up very swollen and with blisters on the bites. The restaurant recommended was very close, around the corner, very nice setting, but the worst food I have tried lately. I think it was a while that somebody stayed in the room bc the headboard was full of dust and the second set of lights in the bathroom did not work. This was the first time we travelled and used three star hotels and were very disappointed with the quality of the ones we stayed in. The breakfast was dismal. One good thing is the proximity to the airport. It took us less than ten minutes to get there. Overall not a pleasant experience.

Being in Fiumicino there isn't much around to do/see. There are a couple places to eat but not many and when I was in this area in May 2005 NOTHING was open; we had to walk into the town itself to find a restaurant and there weren't many and they don't speak English (I don't mind but some people do). But it is 5 minutes from the airport terminal and it is about 60 euros cheaper than the Hilton which is in walking distance so even adding in shuttle fares it is cheaper. The room was the nicest room I stayed in the 4 weeks I was in Italy.

Great location very close to airport. Facilities are so-so and breakfast was very mediocre. Not bad if you need an overnight stay to catch an early morning flight. Watch out at the nearest restaurant (same street) - they will try to sell you more food than you need.

Staff very helpful, nice clean modern room with secure parking right in front of room. For the price they should have offered free shuttle to airport but cost 25 euros for 3 people where other hotels offer for free at this rate.

The shuttle service was a joke! It was part of the service (until 8pm or so) but when I arrived at the aiport (around 5.30pm to be picked up), the reception found an excuse and so shuttle was NOT available!
Also for the price I can get a MUCH better hotel and service in many other airports and cities!!!

My husband, son and I used it as a meeting place after travelling separately in Italy. We flew out of Fiumicino together the next a.m.
It was very convenient to the airport. My son took a train from Milan to Rome to the airport and we picked him up easily the night before we flew back to the States.

People can comment as they please about location but after staying at this hotel at both my arrival and departure in Italy I thought it was perfect. Compared to other hotels we stayed at during our three weeks between Italy and Romania, I looked forward to knowing it was our last stop before leaving Italy. The rooms were clean, the staff was great and after spending a little time on foot in Fiumicino I actually enjoyed the area. Yes, a bit industrial but with a short walk the downtown Fiumicino area is kinda cool. It's where the real Italians live and without a doubt, the best restaurant we ate in over three weeks was down near the beach. If you need a place to stay if you are just passing through the airport, this is very convenient, close, and good shuttle service. In my investigation prior to booking here, some people commented negatively on trivial things like the prepackaged breakfast rolls in the room. My only comment is who cares? Go around the corner to the coffee shop all the locals go to in the morning if you want fresh pastry. I would definitely stay here again.

The rooms are in reality small apartments, quite big for three people and fully equipped to stay longer than i did (one day). Rooms are clean and quit, ene though the surrounding are bit disappointing (rude suburbia of Rome). It is relative far from Rome (30 min train) but railway station it is not so far and if it not required to go out in the evening , it could be a confrtable accomodation for a short trip, especially considering that one can avoid restaurant, with lot of money saving

Very nice room and competent staff. A bit pricey...but I guess that's Rome. No front desk attendant in early morning hours...this was a real problem for us when our Taxi didn't show up to take us to the airport.

I rated "Quality of Service" a 5 since the main reason we chose this hotel was the 24-hour availability of shuttle service. The hotel shuttle service is advertised as "Shuttle Service 24 hours". HOWEVER, it was not available to pick us up at the airport on 5/25 or 6/11. Instead we had to take a cab both times. On 5/25 this was a pretty big deal since we were at the opposite end of the airport from where we had to be to get a cab to Fiumcino (rather than Rome), and we had a lot of heavy luggage. On 6/11 we at least knew that we had to go to the Hilton to get a local cab. Service from the hotel to the airport was excellent - ready to go on time.
Dishes in the kitchen both times were dirty - appeared to have been rinsed but not washed - yick!

My compliments to the man and woman at the reception desk. When I indicated that I preferred to converse in Italian, they listened, and began to converse in Italian. This courtesy is rare at Italian hotels. Usually they insist on speaking to guests in English.

Perfect location for an early flight out of FCO. Receptionist, Francesca, was wonderful and really made our stay enjoyable. She took care of many details that we could not. Small town of Fiumincino was about a 20 minute walk and just charming. Walked out on a jetty to the Mediterranean, had our pick of cafes and restaurants. All-in-all a great way to end the trip.

Not a great neighborhood. Near the airport, which is what we wanted, but after enjoying our vacation in Rome, Florence, Tuscany and Sorrento, Fiumicino is not a great destination. The room was fine, the staff was helpful, but the breakfast consisted of instant coffee, yogurt and some unappetizing packaged rolls and the bedroom air conditioner was so noisy we barely slept. The vacation was over when we arrived in Fiumicino.

Lovely little hotel close to airport. Exceptionally clean. spotless actually. Marble floors, great little patio complete with lemon tree. Secure gate around hotel and parking. Breakfast in the fridge (juice, yogurt) buns, tea and instant coffee on counter. We had a family of 4 and had a suite on the ground floor.
Francesca, was outstanding. She welcomed us, took us through the room and recommended local restaurants. Even more impressive, when we had left something in the room and asked that it be couriered to us in Rome a week later, she personally drove it to our hotel after her shift. Now that is above and beyond service. Outstanding!
The area around the hotel is very industrial - not some place you would necessarily want to visit for any length of time, but the hotel was great as a stop to or from the airport. Would definitely stay again.

We were staying for one night at the hotel, since it is extremely close to the airport. our flight was at 6:45am, so we had to be at the airport at 4:45am for the international flight. The woman at the front desk totally helped us with our bags, scheduled a cab to drive us to the airport early in the morning and called us on the phone to ask if everything was satisfactory upon check-in. I was shocked that this "airport hotel" had huge clean rooms and a refrigerator stocked with breakfast foods (little sweet rolls, little cakes, milk, water bottles and yogurt) included for free! I didn't see the town or surroundings, we were really there just to sleep and leave the next morning. But I would recommend it to anyone needing to be close to the airport! Totally exceeded my expectations (and I'm very picky)

Facade was being renovated, but this renovated place is excellent value. My room was spacious and well lighted with a renovated bathroom. a 15 Euro van ride gets you to the airport departure area. A good restaurant is part of the new complex. A security card gets you in the gate to your building, the front door and the door to your room. The neighborhood is not good.

We only stayed overnight before catching our flight, and so didn't have a chance to take advantage of the really nice unit we had with a fully equipped kitchen, air conditioning, separate bedroom, living room area. Very nice!
Much easier to find with the maps the hotel staff send.

Great location relative to the airport; immediate area seemed a little industrial; very competent and helpful staff. If you have an early morning international flight (0700), recommend leaving for airport no later than 0520.

Shuttle service from and/or to the airport is an extra 15-25 euros *each* way. Dining choices are unavailable on New Year's Eve without prior reservations. Be sure to eat before arriving. Fortunately, the mini-fridge has yogurt, water, juice and there are some pre-packaged bakery products in the unit. wi-fi service is also extra euros. good place to crash for an early morning flight. plenty of hot water in the shower.

The room was great, very spacious, modern and clean. The shuttle service to the airport was very handy and cost 15 euros for 2 of us. There was a supermarket about a 10 min walk away and there were supposed to be other shops and cafes around but we couldn't see any and were too tired to walk any further to find them. Staff at reception were very welcoming, however a while after settling into our room we noticed the heater was on and the room was getting too hot. We didn't know how to turn the heater off so we asked reception for help. The staff member who came to assist us kept complaining that we must have turned the heater on and tampered with the thermostat programming, even though we had explained that we hadn't touched the heater at all. We found her to be very rude.

These are apartment like standalone buildings with an upper and lower level. We had a very active upstairs "neighbor" who came home at 10pm and walked around until 5am. We also had someone pounding on our door at 4am thinking that our unit was the person above us. The shuttle driver seemed to know that this person was trouble. Other than that the place was great

Arrived in the late afternoon for an early morning flight from Fiumicino. Hotel was easy to find, room was spacious, breakfast supplied (in room) was adequate. Staying on a Sunday night, restaurant was closed (despite hotel employee reccomending it for dinner). Hotel is convenient for a place to crash before an early morning flight. I would not stay in this hotel if I was planning a longer stay in Fiumicino.

The location left something to be desired, but the staff and spaciousness of the room with kitchenette more than made up for it. There is an enclosed locked courtyard to park one's car. Staff was gracious and helpful. A nice way to end one's trip and very close to the airport.

This accommodation is ideally located if like us you had one night in Rome before flying out. It's is very close to the airport with an excellent shuttle service which is reasonably priced for 4 people (3 adults and 1 child).
We were warmly welcomed and the staff were cery helpful in explaining everything in the room as well as providing us with instructions on how best to get to Rome via train.
We would certainly use Euro House again if we were to visit Italy again (which we hope isn't too far away).
