Be aware that the city of Figline is closed on Mondays and you will not be able to do anything there. but a short inexpensive train ride into Florence is wonderful to fill the gap.

Villa La Borghetta overcharged our stay during the off season of March. They offered a small room and the service was horrible unless you were affluent and white. They only catered to rich people and ignored the average Joe. The services were deplorable and the first day we arrived at 1pm our rooms were not yet ready until 3. Besides all of that the view was gorgeous and we managed to make the best of our situation by hiking along the path near the hotel.

This hotel is an undiscovered gem! Delightful, spacious & quiet bedrooms, top quality bathrooms, and surrounded by some of the most picturesque scenery imaginable. Add to this a charming restaurant which served us with some of the finest dinners that we have enjoyed anywhere in Europe, and a staff who are friendly and committed to helping you make the most of your stay and you have the perfect recipe for a brilliant holiday. While we stayed in January it was sadly too cool to enjoy the infinity pool, jacuzzi & breakfast patio, but we can imagine just how enjoyable they would be in warmer seasons. Make no mistake, this hotel is a "class act" and will be highly sought after when it has been opened a little while longer. For those who stay here, please note that the routing as specified is not exact. When turning right off the Figline to Arrezzo road you will come to a T junction. Turn left here and then right at the first roundabout where you will see a signpost to the hotel.

From Florence: take the highway A1 to Rome. Exit Incisa and follow to Figline Valdarno, turn right and follow for Gaville and then follow hotel signs.
If you have a GPS System please put address Via Del Cesto.
