Good in price and quality, but pay attention to bikes: sometimes you need to repair them by yourself!! :-). Next to the centre of the city and very close to the train station. Typical italian breakfast.Very good for spending 3-4 days.

Hotel had covered parking. 20 mins. on foot to Estense Castle and Palazzo del Diamante. Hotel near train station and passing trains could be easily heard.

Double room though on my own. Buffet breakfast was excellent. The only noise was from the very busy railway but the proximity of the station was very useful since the cheapness and convenience of Italian railways (easy access to everywhere) make ones stay much more interesting. I had stayed before and would do so again, the hotel is excellent value for money.

It is more a Motel than a Hotel. It's close to the Railway Station, so you can hear the noise from the trains all night long. The elevator is too noisy, so never accept a room next to it. The air-condition is not working properly; even in May it was too hot, and opening the wondows didn't help (mosqitoes come into the room) Many things have to be improved.

The employees at the Hotel NordOvest are friendly and helpful, and the hotel is a fine, simple place a few steps from the train station. You wouldn't know that, though, because information on how to reach the hotel is woefully inadequate. We realized too late that you can actually SEE that hotel from the train station, but the directions take you on a nearly 1 km hike along a fairly unattractive road. In addition, we didn't sleep a wink the night we stayed because the a/c, though it was at full blast, wasn't adequate to cool the room down to a liveable temperature. The employee at the reception said he'd change our room if we wanted (the hotel was nearly empty), but added that it would do no good: All the rooms had the same problem. Ferrara, in the middle of the Pianura Padana, has a reputation for being one of the hottest places in Italy during the summer. I'm going to bet the night we stayed wasn't the first time their a/c couldn't keep up. The hotel simply needs to get more powerful machines (or else close for July and August); there's no real excuse for making guests go through that.

Well priced, but the rooms aren't elaborate and it is a decent walk into the historic centre of town.
