A very good hotel with excellent staff. Superb choice at breakfast - the best we had in Italy. Good central position on the square facing the castle. A word of warning - occasional concerts take place in the square during the summer.

The staff at Annunziata was remarkably friendly, beginning and ending with Massimiliano. He was undoudtly one of the nicest and most courteous front desk managers that I have ever met. The breakfast meal was incredible - a true banquent. Their spread puts to shame all others that I have ever had in Italy. I can not wait to get back to Ferrara and stay again at the Hotel Annunziata!

The Annuziata is the type of hotel that I hope to find when I travel. It offers personal service, an excellent location, friendly and helpful staff, and all of the amenities that make for a comfortable stay. The hotel's location puts it within a three minute walk of Ferrara's major attractions, and a two minute walk to the bus stop for travel to/from the train and bus station. The area might be more crowded and noisy in the middle of summer, but that wasn't at all an issue in mid-November.

We loved this hotel. The location is incredible. You are just across the square from the castle in the center of the town -- at night it is right outside your window all lit up. The hotel was extremely well run and the staff was very pleasant, welcoming and helpful. You will never find a better hotel breakfast than you will get at this hotel (with the price of the room.) It was bountiful and the quality of everything on it was superior. The only thing 'bad' we can say about the hotel is that the bathroom we had was rather cramped and the rug needed to be changed in the room. Otherwise it is very clean and well maintained. My husband and I would recommend it highly.

I travelled in a party of 5 persons and we all were very pleased with the hotel. It is well positioned. Being without an attached garage or parking space, the hotel offered valet parking (which we used) or provided tickets for public parking. Nice lounge areas. Excellent breakfast with both hot and cold items available. We would be pleased to use the hotel again and would recommend it to others.

I went to see a concert and the stage was literaly infront of the hotel entrance! could not have been more handy! I even had backstage access!! The hotel is right in a beautiful square in the centre of Ferarra. Room was very big and hotel welcoming was extremely positive (little touches like putting a "good night" note and a book next to my bed before bed time were very appreciated). Breakfast was really good as well, lots of choices even for strict vegetarians/vegans.

The two gentleman that worked at reception during our stay spoke very good english and were extremely helpful. The one who looks like Mr. Bean was especially friendly. The breakfast was magnificant! Makes it worth the price. Had a good variety at the buffet and food quality was good. Fruits, meats, cheese, pastries, eggs, bacon, juices, cappuchino, cereal, yogurt. Something for everybody. Hotel is in excellent location. The best part of the city. Located in a beautiful piazza with the Castle Etense right out the front door-big moat and all.

Annunziata is a lovely hotel in a supreme location. It has welcoming and helpful staff, tastefully decorated rooms and little touches such as a book for every visitor and Internet access in the lobby. The breakfast was outstanding - so much on offer that one couldn't possibly taste everything! Would definitely return on a later visit and recommend this hotel highly. Nice views from the room we stayed in, too.

It is a lovely little hotel with character. The staff are very friendly. Its location is perfect and the room overlooking the square which we had was beautiful. The hotel does not serve dinner but the breakfast, included in the price, was wonderful. I would certainly recommend the Annunziata and hope to return.

This is one of the nicest hotel I have ever stayed in. The room was not huge, but perfectly large enough, with a good size bathroom. The room was filled with free goodies and gifts - book, pen, chocolate &c. I am used to single rooms being generally inferior and at the back, but this room was excellent. When I pulled back the curtains and opened the shutters I was stunned by the magnificent view of the Este Palace. It was superb. Also, the next morning, the breakfast buffet was easily the best I have ever encountered in Italy. It was a huge spread of the highest quality and it was difficult not to be greedy! I have no doubt at all that I shall use this hotel again when next I visit Ferrara.

The Albergo Annunziata is a charming intimate hotel situated right near the Castello. The room was very quiet, though a bit on the small side. The breakfast buffet is sumptous and a real treat. It was our second stay at this hotel and we plan on staying there again.

The Albergo Annunziata is a charming hotel with a very personal touch. It is located very centrally right near the famous Castello of Ferrara and in the vicinity of other landmark buildings as well. The employees were at all times very frienly and helpful and offered an extremely good service. Especially good is the very opulent breakfast buffet. The Quality Price ratio is very good. I can only recommend this hotel warmly.

Location is unparrelled. The hotel has free bikes which are a must in Ferrara, and free internet which other hotels didn't have. Take a bike around the city walls and through the streets and feel like a local. Staff are very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast offered a great selection. If you are planning to stay during the buskers festival you have to weigh up sacrificing the magnificent view out to the Estense Castle with the quiet of a non-square facing room. We accepted the noise and loved the room.
