The hotel Bovendael is located in Erondegem, in the centre of Belgium, not far from Brussels, Bruges, Ghent, Aalst and Antwerp. The property is set in quiet surroundings and exudes an atmosphere of peace, relaxation and intimacy.
The hotel's restaurant guarantees optimum quality. As a sports hotel they offer special menus for professional sportsmen, as the Success menu, widely appreciated for its excellent price/quality relation. The menu of fresh daily products has something for everybody's taste such as an aperitif of one's choice, a selection of various starters and main dishes, two glasses of wine, beer or soft drink and dessert at a fixed price.
Furthermore, the complex has an excellent reputation as a business hotel. Participants to seminars, trainings or meetings have free disposal of the conference room (for up to 20 persons). The conference room features rustic sophisticated interiors, and the staff of the hotel will be pleased to assist whenever needed.

We were given a room on the basement floor which was a little dark, but apart from that, we enjoyed our stay in the hotel.

Very nice small hotel in a cute town. Good to remember that it is first of all a sports and business hotel e.g. there is a strict non smoking policy. The rooms (in our case luxury) where perfect although no bath was provided just a shower. Also do not look for a minibar or safe, there are no possibilities besides a very good restaurant, wich was fully occupied and required reservation, to have a drink. Breakfest is served in the restaurant and was very good.

The dinners we had in the dining room were most delicious and good value for money. Very friendly, helpful staff. Highly recommended. Good welcome at arrival and during my stay. The room and bathroom looking old and not a good quality furniture. Internet connection is not easy and there is not helpful and pratical information how to use. Not raccomanded for business trip.

By car
From the E40 highway (Brussels/Gent), take exit n. 18 Erpe-Ghent or N9 Ghent-Aalst. From both roads take the exit Erondegem. The hotel is situated behind the church in the centre of Erondegem.
By train
The hotel is reachable from the train station by taxi or public transportaion.
By airplane
The Oostende airport lies approximately 22 km away from the hotel. Exit the airport onto the A10 highway, following the signs to Brugge. The A10 to Brugge will lead you automatically onto the Buiten Kazernevest ring road.
