Nice welcome and clean, decent, room. Facilites all worked but the place looked in need of updating. Formica fittings, chipped door and general signs of wear - rather 1970's! We were only staying one night after a full days driving so the facilities other than the room and restaurant were not tested. It was the restuarant that was the main problem. We can honestly say it was the second worse meal we had in ten days in Spain and by a mile the worst value. Poor descriptions between menu and what appeared (and no contributory language problem as my partner speaks good Spanish) for a starter (using unripe tomatoes - in Spain?!) and incompetantly butchered cuts of meat for the main course. Quite simply the quality of the cooking was poor, and the wine was past it's best too. Service was uninterested (only enquiring if we were enjoying our meal at the end of the mains - and only offer to bring something else when informed we did not!) and the place dead, with a "buzzing" stereo speaker that needed replacement. Finally on checking out the next morning got no service at all. The check staff continued his conversation with someone else whilst dealing with me "with the other hand". He did not even ask if we enjoyed our stay! Poor value, poor customer care and no feedback from the hotel to the stinging feedback form I filled in and left with them. It is as if they do not care. Pleased with Venere's service level but this hotel partner is letting you down. No way is it deserved of 4* status apart from the simple list of facilities. The service level is far more important! Pleased you at least are interested in customer feedback! Look forward to reaction.

the room in the web photo was a suite , this was not stated before i booked . the standard of the room was poor , the decor was old and in poor condition . the air condition unit was very noisy , this made it im possible to have it on when you are trying to sleep. there was no visble waiter service around the pool. the pool was the most unclean pool i have ever seen. during my visit the pruning of the palm trees was started , this caused all the dust and dirt to fall and also all the insects to swarm. this in my opinion is not to the rating specified , it should be lower than stated
