I have never stayed in such an awful hotel. The room was shoddy, the carpet dirty and there were cobwebs on the wall, the wardrobe so wobbly we thought it might fall over, there was no hot water to shower one morning and when we asked the desk, a young man did apologise saying they had forgotten to switch on the hot water pump. The TV was probably the smallest model available on the market,a bulb in the bedside lamp was not replaced although we pointed out that it was broken and breakfast - well if you like yesterday's rolls that's fine. We asked for toast and were given half-toasted bread. All in all, at a weekend rate of 140 GBP/night, the cost/performance ratio was poor in the extreme.

Exept for the breakfast, everything was nice,
specially the lady's at the reception.
My only comment is that somebody promissed us to take care of our lugage the day we had to
go home, it was still standing in the lounge at the end of the day.
But we had a lovely weekend in Edinburgh!!

The staff at Piries hotel was exellent, the room was big and clean. It wasen´t in the center of town but I think it was nice to live just off the center. We did alot of walking. I do raelly recomend this place, specially the staff!
