Walked to hotel from the train station. Hotel is on a deserted street. Young teen-age boy was the only one working at the hotel. From 10 PM to 7 AM there is no staff at the hotel! Completely unattended!!! The gate is locked and you are given a code to open the gate after 10PM. Kind of scary returning to the hotel after the concert and it was completely dark inside and outside, with noone there.

Accommodation a bit run down and not as clean as one would expect. Bathroom floor and bath still bore evidence of previous occupants. Carpet in room was also stained and grubby. Parking facilities reasonable, both on-street and on-site (charge applicable). Very centrally located and convenient for shops, bars, restaurants. I wouldn't use the hotel again.

Found this to be a very good hotel with a very basic, realitively roomy, clean, quiet room ... nothing fancy. Arriving late we were expected and greeted by the hotel and the room was ready. Good breakfast. Seems to have mostly business cleints. Good value for the money. Would use again.

Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. Piccolo albergo in centralissima zona ma molto riservato e silenzioso. Due minuti dal centro pedonale. Pulito, personale cortese e ottima e abbondante prima colazione continentale a prezzo modico.

Quite difficult to find, Michelin didn't lead us to the right place. Not so close to the real city centre as advertised. Very good to have a hotel parking.
Very friendly and helpful personnel. Quiet, but tiny room, looked quite "old".
Our little boy of 23 months had to fully pay for breakfast.

The employees were friendly and helpful, and we spoke both French and English. The rooms were very clean. The parking is on location, which was very helpful travelling with two small children. The hotel was within walking distance to museums and shops. We only stayed one night, but we had a lovely stay.

A modest hotel, modern and not at all quaint, it nevertheless is very good value in its class. The staff were welcoming and helpful; you need some French language capability here though. Rooms are average in size, simply furnished, but clean and well maintained. Bathroom (shower only, no tub, but unlike many French hotels at least provides a shower curtain) modern and very clean. Location is very good, at one edge of the old downtown core. Also, only a few minutes to the train station. Just a few minutes walk to stops on the "navette" line, Dijon's free downtown area shuttle bus service. Just two minutes walk to a stop on the regular bus lines. Breakfast is always cheaper outside the hotel, and there is a good little cafe just a block away, but this hotel's breakfast buffet was good and better priced than at many French hotels.
Always a good idea to reserve well ahead in Dijon; the city hosts a great many meetings and conventions that tend to fill up all of the better downtown hotels.

Hotel stay has been comfortable but lavk of air condition made the warm nights unomfortable to sleep. he owner and his wife were very pleasant. The location is about 15 minute walk from the station. I expected it to be closer based on the description given on the internt. The prce of 55 Euros without breakfast makes this place above the price I would have preferred.

Difficult to find and not exactly near the center of town or the train station. Parking was possible-but very tight. Room clean but needed a bit of updating. There are other hotels with better locations right in the historic district that I would use next time.

We have visited the Montigny before and returned as it proved excellent value for money. It's position in Djoin is excellent with easy access to the centre with the shops and resturants. Services are basic but it's clean and welcoming and is an perfect stop off for the visit to the South of France.

Although the hotel is clean and well-situated, close to the city centre, and the breakfast was very good, the rooms are EXTREMELY small. We were there during a heatwave and there was no airconditioning or even a fan, and the heat inside was unbearable.

Very pleasant and helpful staff at all times. Facilities in rooms were excellent and there was an excellent choice of breakfast foods each morning. Cleanliness was excellent - my room was cleaned daily and fresh towels provided each day. I was there for 9 nights and have absolutely no complaints about this comfortable,well-run central hotel.

Hotel Montigny is well located, near the historic areas but on a quiet street. The room was comfortable and the breakfast buffet was outstanding. Parking in the hotel courtyard was convenient and reasonably priced. We were very satisfied with out experience.

Sept 2005, Room 201 : refurbished, clean, quiet (far away from elevator).Interesting is the secure closed parking area at 5 euros/day. Code is needed to get in after 23h00.Citytaxes apllied. Breakfast nothing special but correct.
Good for short stays. No restaurant but a lot not far away. 10 min walking distance to citycenter. I saw a lot of commercial representatives coming late in the evening and leaving arounf 7 am.

the hotel is in an excellent location, right in city centre, but still being away from the noise. the staff were really helpful and friendly, we were actually staying in the hotel to locate a property in dijon, the staff couldn't have been more helpful with any of our requests for information. it would be advisable to have a little bit of french before travelling to dijon, just some basic phrases!! but overall it was brilliant.

This is a great low cost hotel bang in the centre of Dijon. We've stayed there twice as a group now and both times have thoroughly enjoyed it.
The owners are friendly and helpful but do not speak any English.
I would recommend the hotel to any travellers on a budget.

This hotel is very convenient to the center of town -- easy to walk to everything. I did have a little noise from the street which might be worse in summer when windows are open. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

why does it not state in the reservation that I have to make an additional tax payment (other than the VAT) to the hotel.I wasn't expecting this. Also, on my departure date the man at reception would not allow me to remain in the car park after 1100 even though the reservation clearly states check-out is 1200.I would have had to move my rental car to the street with all our luggage(NO WAY)to have a coffee at a cafe, plus pay for parking. That meant we had to leave Dijon when we checked out at 1030 instead of 1200 as we had planned.

It was a lovely room, with a nice bathroom with shower, but the room smelled like cigarettes when we first entered, which was boethersome. Overall, the people were friendly, the breakfast was good, but slightly expensive, and the location was comfortable.

After staying in many French hotels with tiny tatty rooms despite a high nightly rate, this hotel was a pleasant change. The rooms were relatively large and clean, and the price quoted was reasonable.
Parking was free (unlike other hotels) and the hotel is within walking distance of the town centre. I would stay at this hotel again.

The hotel is in good location, in a walking distance to the center and also has good parking facility.Unfortunately the staff did not speak English at all.Having breakfast is not really worth in the hotel.

Our room was huge compared to others we stayed in France. The reception did not speak English, but we had no problems. The room was clean and fairly new furnishings. We took a taxi from the train station only 8 Euros. Bathroom was spacious and clean.

Our contact with the staff at the hotel was brief, but very positive. From the hotel,it is a short walk to the historic and shopping areas of Dijon. We were sorry that we were able to stay for only one night.

Philipe and Monique were, without a doubt, the most friendly proprietors I encountered during my stay in France! I would, and hope to, stay there again just to visit with them. Having been a taxi driver before, Philipe knows the town and can get you anywhere in Dijon.
