I'm very satisfied with the facilities and the service provided by the hotel. I also found the free wifi in the lobby a pleasant surprise. The hotel is located extremely close to the city centre.

The hotel is in an old building in the delightful historic centre of the town. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast, served in a small but pleasant ground-floor area with an outlook on the street, included a very adequate buffet with a fair choice of cold food (salamis, cheeses, fruit, yoghourt, cereals) and the possibility of making toast and boiling eggs. My room overlooked the attractive formal gardens of the Regional Archive across the street and there was little traffic. My only disappointment was that the room furnishing was fairly minimal (though there was a fridge and TV and the bed was comfortable). Wi-fi was available free in the Reception area but not in the room. The hotel has a private garage which is observed by TV from the reception area. Reception closes at 01:30 but residents can get a code for later entry.

The service was very nice and welcoming. The hotel is very clean and located in one of the best locations in Dijon. It is being renovated (Aug. 2007) so it should be even better.
The website should say that there is a parking fee.

The Hotel des Ducs is a very nice hotel located
about 1 block from the Place de la Liberation, where the Palais des Ducs de Bourgogne is located. The concierge is well-prepared if you have made Internet reservations, and the hotel offers a pleasant petit dejeuner. It is worth booking ahead online because the price is Eu 83 at the hotel, and about 1/2 this price if you've booked ahead.
All in all, this is an excellent hotel in a great location. In the words of the hotel manager "Il est tres agreable ici" and this is, in fact, a beautiful city. It was the best of 6 hotels that I stayed in during my visit to Brussels, Paris, and Dijon.

Very reasonable price for the size of the room and the rating of the hotel. Great location for seeing Dijon. The breakfast option was a little pricey but you did get refills on coffee. The room we stayed in was smaller than some of the other rooms in the hotel but was still spacious and had a great balcony that wrapped around the corner of the building.

The hotel did not receive the reservation for parking. (This one was indicate in the commentary area of my reservation form)
The hotel didn't say that air-conditioning is not present in all the superior room.
Parking is quite complicated
need to let your keys at the reception because your car can be moved if someone want to leave his vehicle.

Dijon is beautiful...go there if you can. Hotel Des Ducs is a nice place, but a little less than quiet after France wins a world cup match...then again, most of France wasn´t very quiet that night.
We had a very pleasant visit, and Hotel Des Ducs was one of the more comfortable places we stayed during our trip through France.

The place was adequite but nothing special. Breakfast seemed overpriced & the staff not especially helpful. It was the most money we paid for a hotel in France (even more than Paris), which seemed a little much given the average-ness of the environment.

Très bon hotel, très bien situé. Un petit effort supplémentaire sur le ménage et ce serait encore mieux. Pas de problème majeur hormis cela, juste quelques petits bruits dont on ne sait pas toujours d'ou ils proviennent...

One of the best deals I have seen in Europe - our "family" sized room was large with two double beds and a large bathroom. The location was excellent, and the add on breakfast was very nice. This was an excellent hotel for the price. I'd happily stay there again.

A lovely little hotel ideally situated in central Dijon. My room was quite small, but I was travelling alone and therefore suited me fine. There are larger rooms available. Safe, clean, neighbourhood, but then that is Dijon!

We reserved a family room for three people - two parents and one very tall son. We wondered if the beds would all be full size and the room big enough for three adults. What we got was full size beds and one of the largest rooms we have ever had in an hotel. Excellent!

The room was cramped and hot, with a single upright chair and no place to put a suitcase except underneath a desk - which made it extremely difficult to open. We would definitly prefer to pay more for better accommodation.

The Location of this hotel is definitely not central in a small town like Dijon, esp. for the price charged. On top of that, the hotel staff are very rude. Firstly, when I called up to ask for directions to the hotel from the train station, the staff was not enthusiastic in providing it. In fact, she said she "cannot do anything if I do not have a map of Dijon". Well, I guess as a staff of a hotel, It's not difficult for her to give simple directions to her own workplace when all the other hotels in Europe could easily manage that. Then, they don't help their guests to send postcards (they don't even have stamps). Lastly, when we checked out, they charged us tax even when it was stated on our booking confirmation slip that "all taxes are included". I would definitely not recommend this hotel to anyone. I believe there is no place for such service attitudes in today's competitive business environment. May I also suggest that Venere.com consider linking up with Hotel Ibis Dijon Central which provides a more central location in Dijon and charges a much lower price.

Well situated hotel with at good overall standard. The breakfast buffet is excellent. With our windows open the noise from the street was intolerable, with the windows closed it was ok. The personnel did what they had to do, but not a tiny bit more - no smiling faces.

My main concern was would I find the hotel in the middle of Dijon. The map was not the best for directions but the hotel is sign posted so in the end it was simple. Parking could not have been easier. Being located so centrally the hotel was great for access to the central area's.
I would certainly recomend this hotel to others and I hope to return at some time.
