exterior - entrance Driving up the road towards the Residence Castello Belvedere, you may catch your first glimpse of this majestic villa, partially hidden by the trees. This 4-Star hill-top residence above lake Garda with luxury apartments is open all year round. It is only 7 km (4.3 miles) from the center of Desenzano del Garda, a thriving lake-side town with a rich and complex history, dating back to the bronze age, which has left its mark in the form of the town's church, castle, and archaeological museum. There are also many sporting activities on offer in the local area.

The Residence Castello Belvedere is set in acres of olive groves, ancient trees which surround this renaissance villa, dating back to 1565, and its well-kept gardens. The 18th Century church of St Anne also stands in these delightful grounds, giving the villa an added charm. First thing in the morning, or after a hot day touring around the area, you will be able to dive into the cool waters of the outdoor swimming pool and enjoy a panoramic view across the valley. There is also a solarium and a children's swimming pool so that the younger members of your family are not left out.

For your convenience, the residence night porter is available until 1 a.m. during the low season and until 6 a.m. during the high season. Small pets are also welcome, although prior notification is recommended.

apartment - double room All of the 27 apartments of the Residence Castello Belvedere have that traditional rustic feel; the roofs are supported by chunky wooden beams and the floors are covered by cool Tuscan ceramic tiles. Most of the apartments have sun-drenched terrace or a shady portico that faces onto the lake. Therefore, waking up in the apartment is a real treat, as the first thing you will see in the morning is the spectacular view over the lake, stone pine and poplar trees.

As the apartments can host from 2 to 6 people, there is bound to be one which is the perfect size for you and your family or just for yourselves. Additional beds and cots are also available upon request.

Each of the apartments offers all the comforts you would expect from such high-standard accommodation. They are air conditioned and heated, so that they are suitable all year round. There is a fully-equipped kitchen which opens out onto the dining and living room. Inside, you can find a dining table, satellite TV, direct dial telephone with modem access, and safe. HOW TO REACH THE HOTEL

By car
From the A/4 motorway (Milan-Venice): exit at Desenzano del Garda and follow the indications for Desenzano center. At the second set of traffic lights, turn left and follow the road down to the lake. Turn left into via Ferruccio Lorenzini and continue until you see the Residence Castello Belvedere up on the hill, on your right-hand side. Take the via Belvedere and you will arrive in front of the gates.
