Hotel La Passeggiata - Desenzano del Garda

Good location onto hill far 5 minutes, by car, from the center and the motorway. Friendly owners speaking good english. The double room was very clean. The railway, close to the hotel, did not so noisy in the night. The restaurant "bocciodromo" close to the hotel was good: tipical italian food and wine very cheap.

We arrived at night, had no difficulty finding the place or a parking spot. The clerk (owner) was very friendly, spoke good English and showed us to the room. The room was clean but plain (ceramic tiles on the floor - typical in Italy). Approx. 25 seconds afterwards we were shocked - a train louder than Space Shuttle Columbia lifting off passed some 30 meters from our window rocking and shaking the hotel. An awful and scary noise, I must say. In the next hour, trains passed by some 4-5 times and kept us awake after a 10-hour long car drive, that's why I definetly wouldn’t recommend this hotel to people who can't sleep in noisy places. The morning after we were served breakfast by the (I really most say again) REALLY friendly staff. The coffee was great, but the selection on the breakfast buffet ranged from strawberry to peach flavored croissants, crackers and grissini. All in all, I wouldn't go there again.

Situé à 2,5 km de la gare l'hôtel est situé hors agglomération et le long d'une route ou il n'y a aucun trottoir. Nous avons du utiliser un taxi par mesure de sécurité. De plus l'hôtel est situé en bordure d'une route fréquentée et d'une voie ferrée importante ou de nombreux train passent en milieu de nuit. Bref pour dormir il faut impérativement des bouchons d'oreille (d'ailleurs fourni). C'est dommage

This hotel was an excellent stay. The only complaint I would have is that it is out in the country but still only a five minute drive to to different cities. The service was great and they where even able to tell what to go see.

A well run family hotel with a good location

We stayed here for only 1 night as we had a flight that arrived late in the evening and didn't want to travel too far with the children. The family room was small, but practical and very clean. A railway line runs alongside the property and we had noise from it during the night, although it did not disturb the children. The staff were nice and helpful. It was good for the money, but we wouldn't want to stay here more than a couple of nights.

We were not informed that there was a railway directly over the road hence we had no sleep at all...All night long freight run up and down the line!!!!!!

Location in the map is correct, but anyway not possible to walk down to the center...to far and a long hill to climb...

Hotel semplice ma piacevole. Il personale è molto disponibile e cordiale, la stanza pulita. Manca il phon in camera ma lo si può richiedere. Localizzazione: non è nel centro di Desenzano e non è sul lago ma comunque è a 5 minuti di macchina dal centro. Scarse le indicazioni dell'hotel lungo la strada. Rumore notturno nullo. tutto sommato rapporto qualità-prezzo molto buono.

Very friendly family run hotel, good if you need to spend a night close to the Lake Garda. The rooms are terribly noisy, as the railway is just 50 meters in front of the hotel. Even if the price is low comparing to the italian standard, I would not pay more than 50 EUR for this kind of hotel room. Do not expect more than one slice of ham and toast as a breakfast.

l'hotel e' fuori dal paese e bisogna percorrere ca. 3km a piedi per raggiungere il lago. Il paese e' aa ca. 800 metri senza auto questo hotel e' sconsigliabile. vicinissimo alla ferrovia quindi molto rumore vicinissimo ad una strada con molto traffico quindi con molto rumore aria condizionata solo cone 5 eur extra

les 3 étoiles ne sont pas méritées, 2 suffiraient. Le passage d'un train toutes les 10 minutes est particulièrement bruyant.
