We wanted a hotel close to the Mesquita - but never dreamed it would be that close! It is perfectly located and the town centre is within short walking distance. The staff was friendly and the hotel was very clean. If we ever go back to Córdoba we will definitely stay at Los Omeyas again.

We were not aware that to reachthis hotel by car you have to go over a cylander that goes up and down. Residents and people who work in the area have a pass card. We tried the intercom to say that we had hotel reservations but it was not working. We called the hotel on our cell phone and they were very unhelpful. We finaly parked the car and walked to the hotel. The young man behind the desk walked with my husband to our car and used his pass card so we could drive in. He was the rudest and most condescending person we met during our 10 days in Spain

Manager talking loud with no attitud to their customers and staff, malfunction shower, noisy rooms, hard to find the hotel but excellent location right besides the Mezquita, parking too expensive, public parking was half the price

Stayed at the hotel for 5 nights. The hotel is placed right beside the Mesquita. It is a nice small hotel - extremely good value for the price. I can only recommend the hotel and would surely use it if I should go to Cordoba again.

Could have needed more detailed informations on how to find the hotel. The old town of Cordoba is quite difficult!

The hotel was in a great location, easy to walk to the main points of interest and fairly easy to find from the bus stop. We arrived by train from Madrid and then took a bus from the train station. Our room was clean and comfortable, the shower was great, and the front desk loaned me a hair dryer when it became apparent that my power adapter wouldn't work in Spain. Staff was helpful and friendly. We would stay there again.

The hotel is very dated looking and the staff extremely rude and unhelpful! The overall cleanliness and space was fine though and for the price you can't really complain for somewhere to put your head down.

Bad smell on room. Room without windows, except a small one near the door. At the reception no one speak in english. But very good position of the hotel very near to the center

Very close to the Mezquita. Good location. Do not try to find by automobile; take a cab. Narrow winding streets are picturesque but would be impossible for a non-local to navigate by car. Evening desk clerk was quite helpful and spoke English very well.

Reasonable stay, room was compact double (bed a bit short), though had fair sized bathroom. Very close to Mezquita. Lots of other choices in area. Cordoba itself didn't grab me nearly as much as Sevilla, or some other places in Andalucia.

Sistemazione molto buona. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. Vicinissimo alla mezquita, ed al centro storico. Camere pulite.

The hotel is located on a side street about 10 feet from the main square which surrounds the Mezquita. Fabulous location. Stunning at night. The hotel is in the walking zone so you must drive in amongst people to unload your luggage and then the hotel staff will go with you to their garage which is 12ec per day. We walked to the garage with our luggage when we were leaving as it is close. The room was nice and on the top floor as we requested fronting onto a small outside courtyard which is only on the top floor. The area is very quiet at night so any room shoulde good. The hotel was excellent value for location and the money we paid. All sights within walking distance. This is the centre of old Cordoba.

Excellent location. Big bathroom. Big room but filled with 4 beds.Turned out to be good as the main bed was unusable and needed replacement badly. Owner and nephew very efficient but staff on morning duty nearly got into fist fight with group. Lovely courtyard to sit but due to that rooms unfortunately very noisy at night.

This place was terrific, perhaps our experience was coloured by its proximity to the "Mesquite" The staff were great, the building & ambience were typical moorish/spanish & the location was superb. A bit hard to find & parking was a bit distant but the helpfull staff more than made up for this.

a little bit noisy, specially early the morning from nearby street. hotel was good but isnt worth the 70€ (but actually we can say that for prices at cordoba which appears to be more expensive than granada).

A small, but nice, quiet hotel, very close to the mezquita-cathedral. The quality is that of a 3-star, though quoted as 2-star hotel. Breakfast was poor, but this was expected given the price (4 Euro compared to the usual 11-14 Euro of most hotels in Spain). We recommend it and would be our first choice if we return to Cordoba.

Empfehlenswert!

The hotel has a very nice location, close to the fantastic mezquita and restaurants. The rooms are big, and the standard is ok. The breakfast is cheap, but simple. Go out an try the breakfast in the restaurants.

The room was very noisy mostly because of staff talking late into the night. Did not try breakfast but was not impressed by courtyard. The hotel is clearly a two star at best; a drab place and the worst on our trip ; but then the price was the lowest. When leaving I received very little assistance in bag handling and felt that I was puttting the management to trouble.

Although I have got 2 confirmations for may stays (20/21.11.2004, 22/23-23/24.11.2004) my second reservation was not registered at the hotel. Fortunately there were not too many guests. Generally the hotel is fine due to excellent location. The staff could be more kind.

Perfect location: Just around the corner from Mezquita. Nice rooms, adequate breakfast, employees speak English quite well. Our room on second floor opened to the street, which is very narrow and magnifies sounds, which made it a bit noisy at night, but bearable. Hotel has its own parking and a restaurant, but both are located a couple of blocks away. We were quite pleased with our stay.

My wife and I wanted a small family type hotel that was typically Spanish and close to the attractions. That is exactly what we found at Los Omeyas and if we do not return to Cordoba ourselves we would certainly recommend anyone else to stay here ... we had a wonderful time.
