Nice and quiet area. Cleaning and new towels every day. Sometime to few sunbeds but not a very big problem. Nice staff. Near bus line into Sirmone (Old city) and for going to Verona. Do't be afraid to use bus. Easy to come and go with.

We learned only at the end of our journey that the breakfast were not included. This was not clear on your site. After adding the price of the breakfast (which we could have take outside if we would have known before), the hotel was quite expensive for the quality of the room

This location is a regular hotel. Much like a best western in the States. The room was clean and good size. The bathroom was good. I had a small balcony that overlooked a schoolyard type soccer field. There is a bus stop nearby you can pick up to go to Sirmione (15 minute ride) and about 25 minute ride to the Desenzano train station. I saw no reason to pay more money for a hotel in Sirmione just to sleep in, the buses ran throughout the day, but did stop a little early in the evening which just meant you take a taxi back. I would not hesitate to stay here again. Staff was very nice and helpful.

After 10 hours by car we were very happy to find the swimming pool... English speaking, no french.

The distance to the center of Sirmione is about 5 kilometres. Keep that in mind. There are a few shops in the area near the hotel! The hotel also has a small swimmingpool with chairs. Prices were excluding breakfast. Not really cheap. The rooms are a little old-fashioned.

The bedroom was very large, but there war a very small bathroom without even a real shower. In general the hotel is nice, but I think the price it high for what is offered.

Hotel is no bad, but remember that car park costs 12 € per day. Furthermore hotel debits the first night on your credit card 72 hours before your arrive, against the policy declared on Venere.com.

please take care. the offered rooms ( economy ) are backpackers style. you can upgrade, but this will double the price. you have to pay for all things ( key for the minibar is 3 euros , additional the drinks )garage is 13 euros breakfast is 15 euros. I`ll not recommend this Hotel

We were quite disappointed when we first arrived at this hotel as it was much smaller than the picture on the internet would suggest. In fact, looking at it now, the building to the left of the picture is a private residence / contains other business and is not part of the hotel, although it looks like it is from the photo. The hotel itself was generally clean, and the staff were always helpful and couteous. However, the pool was dirty (one of the other guests ended up getting a net from a member of the hotel staff to clean out all of the dead flies from the pool). There were 2 other families with 6 children between them staying on our floor. As they were all holidaying together they were very noisy. There are small balconies with the rooms, however, there is a big spotlight at the front of the hotel which shines on any of the balconies at the front.....as a result we did not sit out on our balcony at all - something that we would normally enjoy doing. The area of Sirmione itself was lovely and we enjoyed the restaurants and bars in the area each evening.

The staff at this hotel are among the nicest I have ever encountered. They were so welcoming and couldn't do enough for us. The hotel is clean and it has all the basic facilities you might expect. The decor could do with updating - walking into hotel Abacas is like taking a time machine back to the 1970s!! but we were only there for one night and so it didn't really bother us too much. My major gripe is that the pool is of poor quality as is the seating area around the pool. The pool furniture is old and some of it is broken. When we stayed there the pool was full of bugs and leaves and we couldn't use it (no one was using it). A shame, as it is one of the main reasons we stayed there. However, as I say it is a fine budget hotel and what it lacks in decor it makes up for it with the brilliant staff who really will take great care of you.

Nice hotel with spaious rooms with very nice balcony overlooking the hotels pool. The pool area had very comfortable hammocks idael for lazing around the pool

We booked a super economy room in this hotel because it seemed to be great value for price compared to other 3 star hotels in the area. It proved to be OK for the price. Location is pretty good, its within a 2 minute walk of the local bars, cafes and small shops. Then a 2 mile walk (40 minutes) to main Sirmione town with castle, or a 5 minute bus ride. Rooms are basic, large and comfortable but with old fashioned flowery carpets. Beware - this hotel likes to add extra charges! Abacus hotel charges 3 Euros a day for a key to open and use fridges in rooms. To obtain this key you have to ask the reception. However our fridge was already open, so without consuming any of the hotel mini bar, we used the fridge to store our own drinks. On our last night, we found that a key had been placed into the fridge lock! Even though we had'nt asked for the key, we were charged for it when we checked out.

3 star hotel in the landside city. To the old town centre about 1 hour walk. Rooms are OK, clean and spacious enough, nothing special.
