Great clean althoug small property. Perfect for a stop over in Cherbourg for a night before travelling on. We managed to get parked but were rather lucky so parking may be an issue but would highly recommend hotel if happy with cheap and clean. Breakfast small but adequate for whole family

Hotel appears to be run by a young couple with lots of personal touches. Rooms are beautifully decorated, our room had a separate bedroom for the children - which they loved! The garage is in a separate bock a short walk from the hotel - but you get your own indivdual garage and the whole place seems very secure.

A great find. Located very centrally to the town centre, shops etc. Perhaps not in the nicest of streets, the hotel itself is a surprise. We went veru early in the day expecting just to leave our bags and check-in later, but the lady was more than happy to let us check-in, use the room to freshen-up and took the trouble to show us where the bureau de change was located.

Located near Ferries & Yacht Marina, Hotel is ideal for visitors/commutors to either. Nearby Square & Streets offer variety of Resturants/ bars. We enjoyed our brief stay at this Hotel. No Gimmicks or Frills just good clean honest accomodation.

Great location. noisy rooms - paper thin walls, bunch of loud guys beside us over on the booze cruise. No toilet roll, requested some, none came! mentioned it upon checking out, she didn't care, no apology! Rooms very clean and nice decor.

Quite basic hotel (but then the other hotels in Cherbourg aren't top notch either). Hotel has seen better days (and no elevator) but the rooms are clean and the bed was fine. The gentleman at the front desk could not have been more helpful, and I would have no problem staying there again. Also, very close to some excellent restaurants.

Nice comfortable hotel for the price. Central location is good.Very helpful chap on reception. Very little English though. It was a good climb up to our room on the 2nd floor. We were qouted €41 for the night however when we went to pay our bill it ended up as €58. The car parking and the cup of cold coffee we had in the morning were extras. Overall, we just needed a room for the night near to the ferry and this hotel is fine for that.

Albergo dignitoso e pulito.

Sadly the previous owners (a charming couple) have sold the Beausejour. It is run with professionalism but does not have the friendly Gallic family charm it had before. However, as value for money, this hotel is fine. It is in the centre of Cherbourg, a short walk from shops and restaurants with several excellent bars and bistros within yards. The rooms are compact but fine for the price and the breakfast is generous and excellent value - really good coffee. Overall, a good place to stay

The new owners arrived just a couple of days before we did. They offered a nice continental breakfast, and made sure we had enough. They also gave us 2 brochures: one with restaurants, and the other one with places to visit. If we need to spend the night in Cherbourg again, we will definitely stay here!

Nice hotel and very clean. Friendly helpful manager speaks good English. It would have been helpful if the hotel had information about ferries available. The map on the website is not very helpful - try to get a proper map of Cherbourg if you need to walk to the hotel from the train station.

We had a great time at the Besajour. It was one of our first stops on a three week trip through Europe. In all of France, we found this hotel and city to be our favorite and on of the tops in all of Europe. They made a great effort to make us comfortable and happy. Extremely friendly and genuine owners! We had such a nice stay we are sending a Thank You letter and a little gift to the kind man who runs the place!

The hotel was clean but the rooms were very small - we booked a family room which was actuallt two very small connecting rooms with a tiny showeroom. All the decorations and furnishings were very tired, the whole hotel could do with updating. However I understand this is a budget hotel and was priced as such, OK for an overnight stay but wouldn't want any longer

Monsieur and Madame made us very welcome and were very helpful and obliging, answering questions about facilities in the town and so on. En-suite WC and bathroom were very small, but they were en-suite!
