nice big room, very thin walls to neighbour rooms 1-2 km to town center few parking possibilities during the week, hotel parking € 13.-/day most museums closed on weekend/public holiday

Located near a strip of quality local bars serving great drinks in a friendly atmosphere. Hotel was ok overall, decor slightly dated but cleanliness was good and staff were very helpful, recommending excellent restaurants and bars. CAVEAT - parking is extra and cost me a whopping €14 for the privilege of having my car there overnight

A foul smell in the bathroom on the first day of my two night stay, like sulphur, oil, or sewage. It went away second day. Rooms and bathrooms are quite spacious. Desk personnel are helpful, but Cartagena is not a nice town. It has many seedy corners, few good restaurants, much less street life than other parts of Spain. Even though this hotel is a short walk from the historical center, this center is not very impressive. A sad town, I think, there just aren´t many people here and it´s obvious why.

Cartagena is easily reachable from Madrid with the N301 and from Alicante with the A-7 highway. Follow the directions for Centro Histórico, the city centre, where the hotel is located.

By train
The property is located only 600 metres from the railway station.

By airplane
The San Javier airport is located 30 km away.
