We stayed for one week at Hotel La Canasta. It was a wonderful experience. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the hotel is clean and charming, and the location is good. Service was excellent. Elegant pool with sunbeds available. Delicious breakfast. Nice balcony with nice partial sea-veiw.

The Canasta is a lovely family run budget hotel on Capri, excellant value for money on an Island where all the hotels are expensive. The location was ideal close to Capri town yet in a tranquil spot.

The staff were welcoming and helpful right down to letting me use their office computer for 30 minutes to catch up on my personal stuff. Great location 1000 feet from the best of Capri.

Small & quiet hotel perfectly located (close to the Piazzetta, going towards faraglioni). The owner is extremely kind, gives excellent advice & speaks perfect English. Beautiful pool. Breakfast served until midday either inside or on terrasse. We spent our honeymoon there and had a wonderful stay, we would greatly recommend this hotel.

My wife and I can thoroughly recommend this hotel if you want peace and pleasant surroundings with a delightful pool area and yet be so close to the piazza in Capri. We thought it was excellent value for money. It is suitable for parents with young families and for couples. Teenagers might find it too quiet!

Our stay at la Canasta was first class. We stayed in a superior romm and I would recommend it to anyone. The room and the whole hotel was spotlessly clean and we felt it was excellent value for money. There is nothing I can fault the hotel on.

Our Stay at La Canasta was great! We had a great view of Capri and the sea. The grounds beautiful and well maintained. Just five minutes the stylish stores and restaurants of Capri; a nice peaceful location, while being close to everything. The room was spacious, clean and well equipped. The best part of our stay was from the family and staff members; they were warm, friendly, and always looking for ways to make our stay in the area enjoyable. We will definitely stay with them again, it will be like going home.

We stayed stayed in a number of hotels in the region, and while this was the most expensive (due to its location really), it was by far the nicest and best value for money. The staff were all very friendly. If I was going to Capri again I would not hesitate to stay there.

Our stay at Hotel Canasta was lovely. Piero was very helpful and welcoming and as he also spoke very good English, gave very good advice regarding the best places to visit and eat, etc. Our room was beautiful and kept very clean. The location of the hotel was great, near everything but far enough away from the centre to be quiet. Breakfast was served 8-12 which allowed us a lovely lie in every day and it was lovely to eat in on the terraces amongst the lemon trees. All in all we had a very enjoyable stay and would recommend to anyone wanting a quiet break.

It has been recently renovated and is a lovely place. It is in a quiet area, and our room had a patio. You are just a short walk to the shopping and eating areas.

perfect location, it is quiet, but not far away (2 minutes walk) of the bustling center. Rooms are made twice. Every time we had a shower in the afternoon or evening we had fresh towels when we came back. Very good choice for breakfast, there were 4 different juices of very good quality, freh fruit, cereals, etc... .The stuff is friendly and helpful. We highly recommend this hotel

ONE OF THE MOST ENJOYABLE VACATIONS I HAVE HAD IN A LONG TIME. THE HOTEL IS SUPERB, THE BREAKFAST WAS EXCELLENT, STAFF WERE MOST ATTENTIVE AND FRIENDLY. I CAN HARDLY WAIT TO RETURN HOPEFULLY DURING EITHER THE SPRING OR AUTUMN OF 2006. I WOULD HAVE NO HESITATION RECOMMENDING LA CANASTA TO ANYONE. THE VACATION WAS A DELIGHT.

As you can tell from the way in which I rated the Hotel Canasta, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend the hotel to anyone traveling to Capri. Our room was spacious and tastefully decorated, and the common areas were both inviting and relaxing. The staff, in particular, with their excellent recommendations and hospitable nature made our first trip to Capri one we will always remember.

La Canasta is a very cosy hotel, with a very friendly and serviceminded staff. Situated in a quiet area, but close to the city center. We soon developed a "homelike" feeling, staying at La Canasta. The rooms are nice and quiet, except for the doors which leds in sounds and noise from the hallway and reception. Apart from this detail, we find La Canasta highly recomendable.

For a farely high price we have got a room which wasn't possible for us to stay in. For 140€ we first had a dark and rather humid athmosphere. After consenting to pay 30€ more, we got a lovely room with every facilities.

Nice small room. Excellent breakfast. Only missing was maybe the pool after a walk on this beautiful island.

We toured Italy for 2 weeks staying at various hotels for 2-3 nights at a time and this was one of the best ones. Friendly, quiet, very clean and above all one of the best breakfasts with meats cheeses fruits all kept in in covered refrigerated trays with no strict timetables.

Greatest hotel for the price in Capri. In the land of super-expensive hotels, this is an amazing value. Very neat, clean, welcoming and wonderful!

Very attractive and spacious. Well maintained. BEWARE, on Capri there is a restaurant to avoid. The obese owner of La Cisterna will personally visit each table and charge you nearly double what the menu says (we saw 3 other tables have the same thing happen to them).

My husband and I took my parents here and this was our first stop. Capri was beautiful and we loved LaCanasta. Its about a 10 min walk from the main square so its quiet and off the beaten path. This used to be someone's home and I believe it was the owner's cousin who lived next door. To wake up and look out and see the gardens made you feel like you were part of the culture! The rooms were spotless and breakfast was excellent!

We found this property excellent in value and location. The room was spacious and the view spectacular. We would definitely recommend this property to others. The only comment we have was the tiled patio was looking a little tired.

My only problem was the difficulty in finding La Canasta once I had arrived in Capri. I was unaware of the pedestrians only area in the city of Capri, and had to ask a lot of people where the hotel was.
