we stayed in a double superior room. the room is spacious and clean with a small balcony with sea view. breakfast was very good. we were offered juice, coffee, cold cut and sweet stuff. highly recommended to pay extra 3 dollars per person to have the breakfast at your own balcony. the hotal is good for young couples who wish to have a short-term sunshine holiday in Capri, though i think the price is not cheap (we paid 200 per night). the drawbacks are: (1) balcony was not properly cleaned or managed, with accumulation of water, mud and leaves on the floor; (2)personnel was not quite welcoming and helpful. when we arrived, it seemed that we have interrupted him who was chatting with a group of people in the common area. the guy gave us the room key but place our passports on the desk unattended. the guy was not prepared to tell us anything or return the passports to us. when we asked, he simply told us he needed the passport for verification of data and then got back to the group discussion.

we were upgraded to a room with a large patio with a wonderful view so it is difficult to evaluate the quality vs price since it was definately worth the 150 euros we paid!!! though I do not know what kind or room we would have gotten if we were not upgraded.
Staff was very helpful and the car service very much appreciated.
the room was very nicely decorated.

Charm,Style and Service are an unbeatable combination - and you have it all here. If you are a style fiend and like subtle, then this must be your Capri choice.
We stayed in room 33(?)it was just lovely - big room, v high celing, huge bed, big french windows to a magical view of the Villa Torricella, and the sea below - just enhanting.
The garden is smaller and less secluded than one might think and the reading room is a sofa set off the breakfast room but we hardly noticed amid our travel back in architectural time. Ask to use the pool of nearby neighbour.
The managerment tell us they are adding a roof terrace and a cocktail bar, the latter will be a real draw as this 1920 villa hotel is made to for cocktail dresses and Manhattans...
In short, we could have stayed for a month... and highly recommend anyone visiting Capri to book this little gem - but dont tell everyone !
On restaurants, Capri is very expensive and another Venere visitor suggested avoiding the Campania as the bill doesnt tally with the menu. Well, we suggest avoiding La Cantinella, a disasterous night was spend there, sadly our wedding anniversay, service was non-existant, food cafe quality. Avoid this restaurant, it might be lauded for it daytime view but boy do you pay for it at night ! Aurora on the other hand was a real pleasure - great food and met some fun people too.

The Excelsior Parco is beautiful hotel in a quiet location. The hotel is about a 5-minute walk from the marina and a 20-minute walk from Capri. It gives you the feeling of staying in a private villa, removed from the tourist areas. The hotel has a car service if you don’t feel like walking. My hotel room was comfortable with a great view of the sea. The hotel staff went out of their way to make sure I enjoyed my stay. I can’t wait to go back.
